I'd like to offer a detailed response, but the wall of text is making that difficult.
Please try breaking your post up into paragraphs.
My troper wall^ I cleaned up a LOT of the entries in the Comic Book folder there today, and I think that's part of the problem, but the main problem is tropers not understanding or not adhering to trope description of the character being "quirky and eccentric", kicking some ass and taking names, then going back to being "quirky and eccentric". As I mentioned, there are so many examples there that simply don't fit the description and don't belong.
I remember pointing out years ago that the trope's name was confusing to anyone unfamiliar with Darkwing Duck (since it just implies a character has moments when they're more dangerous, at best.)
Tropes that have the Trope Namer highlighted all over the page IMHO should always get an extra dose of scrutiny (especially if they're older tropes) because it's a sign that the trope may be leaning on familiarity with that to make it work. If you have to explain the trope namer in the description then it probably isn't a very good name.
But beyond that there's some complexity in terms of... what does "quirky and eccentric" mean? The first entry on the anime subpage is Sakaki from Azumanga Daioh, who is, like... not normal, but she's really the opposite of this trope, someone who seems normal at first glance and whose weirdness is only obvious if you can see inside her head. I think that this is probably the name tripping things up again - she's more of a quiet character who has moments when she "gets dangerous", as opposed to being obviously quirky and eccentric. But it's hard to say because it's not wrong to say she's quirky and eccentric, just not in the obvious way I'd assume the trope calls for.

I will say, it's a massive pet peeve of mine when the title, quote, and image all come from the same source. It really does imply that this one example is the end-all-be-all of the definition.
Working on: Author Appeal | Sandbox | Troper WallThanks to all above, I hope the discussion continues. I seriously question if we even need this trope at all, as we already have Beware the Silly Ones, The Gloves Come Off, Underestimating Badassery, Took a Level in Badass, Didn't See That Coming, etc. There is just so much misuse on this page.
At this point, a wick check/visit to the trope repair shop is probably the best idea
I’ll lift my face, and run to the sunlight.
Unless the Reform thread decides to remove the cap, you'd probably be best off adding a thread to TRS Queue once you've completed a usage check.
How to Do a Wick Check. (I use "usage check" because the other term is named after me, so it feels weird for me to use it.)
^^ At the risk of sounding like a complete noob who needs sand kicked in his face, how do I replace "Insert Title Here" with "Let's Get Dangerous"?
Don't know if I did it correctly, but added a thread on this to the TRS Queue.
You didn't do it correctly, you only made an OP.
The wick check requires you to get a sample of wicks and go to each page of the sample size and see how Let's Get Dangerous! is used and categorize them appropriately to see if they support your argument.
There's a blue "Wick Check" button in the top right that will randomly choose the required amount of wicks you'll need for your wick check that you'll look into each wick as necessary.
You can also get more help on the wick check in this thread here

I brought this up before in Ask The Tropers with the Real Life and Sports examples on the Let's Get Dangerous! page, and after getting consensus from the troper community I went ahead and removed those examples because they simply did not fit the trope description of a character being "quirky and eccentric", then suddenly displaying abilities or badassery they never displayed before, then going back to being "quirky and eccentric".
Looking more closely at the page, there's a lot of examples that either don't fit, or are being heavily shoehorned to fit. Just looking at the Comics folder: Clark Kent is not "quirky and eccentric". Spider-Man jokes around a lot, but he's not "quirky and eccentric" and most people in the MCU know to take him seriously as an opponent, or a good man to have on your side in a team-up. He isn't a "quirky and eccentric" ineffectual sidekick before a big fight, and doesn't go back to being one afterwards.
Susan Storm of The Fantastic Four isn't "quirky and eccentric", she just Took a Level in Badass as she found new and inventive ways to use her powers.
Over in Film, just one example that does not fit is Wanda stepping up to the plate to fight Ultron's drones in Avengers: Age of Ultron. She wasn't "quirky and eccentric" before or after, she was a woman unused to combat who got pushed into a corner and came out swinging.
It's not just the page itself. For the Rocky III page, there's a Let's Get Dangerous! entry for Rocky during his charity fight with Thunderlips. That's more The Gloves Come Off, as Rocky was not "quirky and eccentric" before or after this fight, he was a boxer fighting a wrestler and had to adapt to have a chance at winning.
My point is there's a lot of misuse of this trope, both on the page itself and on other pages. This is being used to cover The Gloves Come Off, Beware the Silly Ones, Took a Level in Badass, etc. instead of those examples being used properly.
I think the main difficulty here is having examples that truly adhere to the definition of the trope, and that the entire page needs to be reviewed to have those examples that don't fit removed. It also becomes an issue if a "quirky and eccentric" character consistently does this, then after awhile does Let's Get Dangerous! no longer apply, and it becomes Underestimating Badassery, Obfuscating Stupidity, Beware the Silly Ones, etc.?
