Wanda had been a legally registered Avenger. The Sentry had never been associated with the Avengers.

Plus, lots of things have been more powerful than the Avengers so far. Ultron was more powerful than any singular Avenger, for instance.

Not really.

Pre-update, Captain America fights at his level.

Post-update, Vision humiliated him.

Besides that was before the all-powerful Carol was introduced. (Who is more powerful than all the rest of the Avengers combined.)

[up][up]your obsession with Carol is weird.

Like yeah she's by canon the strongest avenger. But acting like she's the MCU's perfect Mary sue who they'll protect above all else is...odd.

Especially because we probably won't see her in anything more than a supporting role ever again.

[up][up]No, that’s the Real Infinity Stones! The real strongest avenger is obviously Man, who crawls on all fours at infancy, walks on two legs as a youth, and uses a cane as a third leg in old age!

[up]*2. My point is that Carol managed to get into a Sun like it was nothing.

I don't think they're planning anything so over-the-top with Sentry.

No, your point (cuz you've said it several times) is that Marvel wouldn't dare make a character stronger than Carol.

And there's absolutely no reason to think that's true.

I think its more accurate to say they probably won't make an "Avenger" stronger than Carol.

This wouldn't include other hero groups such as the X-Men containing several Omega level Mutants like Jean Grey and Legion, or the Fantastic Four if they adapt god-baby Franklin.

I don't think they're planning anything so over-the-top with Sentry.

People keep citing this but reactivating a dying star is impressive but Doctor Strange destroyed a universe and Wanda almost did. Also, neither is anything to He-Who-Remains being effectively God.

Sentry may or may not do as much but we won't know the limit of his Reality Warper power or if he even has that. I do think he could probably throw down with Carol unlike virtually everyone else.

Most comicbook gods arguably may be taken as Sufficiently Advanced Aliens.

Please remember that, ultimately, fictional works of entertainment are just that.

So in short, exactly as many atheists in the MCU, as there are in Real Life.

Anywho, talking Thunderbolts Asterisk again, Sentry's got an interesting energy to him.

I dunno, I think people could be down for a god, warts and all. I imagine Thor must surely have some people who worship him, even if it's fringe.

I do wonder how the Thunderbolts* will defeat the Sentry. I guess if they can't defeat the Superpowered Evil Side they'll just guilt-trip him like in the comics.

[down] May you elaborate?

[up][up][up][up] The Suicide Squad game's plot was the Squad (which constitutes of Harley Quinn, Deadshot, Captain Boomerang, and King Shark) successfully murdering the Justice League (Green Lantern, Flash, Superman, Batman) with guns.

Suffice to say people found the entire story absolutely unbelievable and shattering the suspension for disbelief right from the start.

It doesn't help that Harley was already starting to become controversial, and many couldn't help but think that her killing the most powerful heroes was a fragrant case of Creator's Pet.

It also was Arkhamverse Harley, who unlike other versions hadn't undergone a true Heel–Face Turn so it was even more unpalatable.

Yes, the Harley of the Arkhamverse was considered one of the most evil versions of the character, so changing her personality to make her similar to Margot Robbie's was contradictory.

Post-update, Vision humiliated him.

Huh? Vision cut him off from his network, but that's about it. He never defeated him in battle by himself, until much later when he was in a weaker form.

The final battle against Ultron involved all the Avengers fighting him together, at which point he was so critically injured that he couldn't fight them any more and spent the rest of the fight running away.
