I also would be interested to hear the opinion of anyone playing Farmagia, specially the Switch version (you know, performance and stuff). I already read a review of the game and it was positive, and the trailer looked charming given that I'm a fan of Hiro Mashima's artstyle.
At the very least, I think I will buy this game when it first goes into discount, but if there are more recommendations, I might be interested in paying the full price (it's already decently priced).

Got the day one edition with a soundtrack and art book.
Was really on the fence about grabbing it, but then I remembered Fairy Tail had more Les Yay than a Tegan & Sarah concert so I made the plunge.
Will get around to actually playing it tonight.

You are not alone. Can confirm the flashier attacks cause a bit of stuttering on the Switch. Hopefully that's the worst of it.
Really digging the visual flair though. Mashima designs cool monsters, and the character portraits are animated to really drive home his style. Plus there was a cool anime opening and english voice acting!
Well, I decided to buy Farmagia for the full price, and after being somewhat busy, I finally have some hours with the game. In short, I have enjoyed it so far, an while in some places it's obvious this is a lower budget title (the farming is somewhat janky), there is a lot of charm, that at least to me, smooths out most of it.
One thing that I didn't expect and have had to adapt to is that the combat system is based on countering, even if the game initially doesn't present it as so. Turns out, there isn't a dodge button, so aside from running away slowly (not ideal) you respond to enemy attacks by blocking them, which if done at the precise time, you counter the attack and reduce their KO bar. Not only that, but your special moves can also counter even moves marked as "uncounterable".
It should be noted that the game is rogue-lite in nature, and it pushes you to constantly go into runs, since your farming is limited by points which are refilled each time you go on a mission. There are fairies that are meant to be your random power-ups, but the system feels limited, so I already mostly try to get the same neutral ones, like the boosted speed (almost essential) as well as boosting drops and extra mosnters for your squad.
Regarding the little I have seen of the story, if I didn't know better, I would assume that Mashima not only did character design but also help write the game, since the main character Ten already feels like his other protagonists (not counting the Dead Rock one). There are also some elements form his other works, like a monster looking like Griffon (I would really like it if there was a Plue-like), as well as there being an Oración Seis.
I will finish by saying once more I would recommend this game, but I will suggest watching a gameplay video, to ensure the gameplay is appealing to you.

I saw Farmagia on the Switch eshop and it intrigued me. The website
also says an anime is coming soon! Anyone else curious or playing it already?
Here's the launch trailer.
