Most superheroes don't have a gigantic budget like Batman or Ironman. It would make sense if Spider-Man's suit looked cheap like a Halloween costume since it's homemade, but of course in the movies the super hero costumes always look very well made like they're from a big budget production (because in real life they are.) No explanation is given as to why Peter parker has a suit that would cost him thousands of dollars to make when he's barely making ends meet and can't afford rent payments. If you actually had it be realistic, audiences would see it as laziness or incompetence on the part of the filmmakers.
