I would say so. Why would you even bother serving someone who treats you like a doormat? Would you not want something, anything in return for unconditional loyalty?

I feel strange saying this but there's nothing wrong with not having any of them.
That's just a single poor example. Lacking something is still a problem more often than not. I don't see how you having no partners changes a thing.
I never said being single in particular was bad but alright.
