So would you say that those examples count more as that trope than Murder by Mistake?
Does anyone else here actually know Fighbird beyond the "Is this a pigeon?" meme?

I did a wick check for Murder by Mistake as I thought it could potentially use a rename (to something like "Misaimed Murder" to differentiate it from Accidental Murder), but I uncovered another potential issue with the page.
Only 52% of the wicks were correct (at least from what I saw). This may largely be due to the fact that 26% of the wicks were ZCEs or Unclear. Included in that 25% are a few examples where I was scratching my head about whether Murder by Mistake applies.
One recurring example is murderers who killed their targets not because of who they thought they were, but what they thought they were. For example, the Murder in Mind example states:
So does the trope still apply when the killer's mistake isn't over mistaken identity? The trope's description doesn't seem to specify.
Also, I'm not used to TRS stuff or Wick Checks, so I'm unsure about whether my findings in the Wick Check back up my original idea of renaming the trope or if they're grounds for putting Murder by Mistake in the TRS queue regardless of the name issue.
