Honestly it's super easy to draw Twin Peaks connections to things between how broad it is and the massive impact it left on things. I am curious on your description of it being similar to Minecraft, though. How did you reach that conclusion?
Anywho one I don't think I've seen anybody mention is [[Film/Us]] and the Mandela Catalog being weirdly similar even outside of the basic premise. Like on the surface level there's the concept of doubles of people overrunning society (which is already not the most mainstream concept). Us starts out suggesting the Tethered might be demonic in nature like the Alternates and both involve the government doing vague experiments in the 20th century, albeit the MC giving a somewhat odd examples that it seems to be a good thing. They also both play with a protagonist turning out to have been replaced at an early age without realizing, and using that to make it clear the monsters actually have more diverse behavior than established.
The Tethered are uncanny and flawed like the Alternates, and they also seem to share the mindset of where they're somehow bound to the originals and feel like both can't exist. They also came out around the same time so Alex very easily could've just taken inspiration from it.
One time when I was bored, I realized that Doctor Strange in the Multiverse of Madness had plenty of similar plot elements with The LEGO Movie of all films, to the point that I like to joke that it's a horror remake.
I can't believe it took my second viewing for me to realize that.

As soon as I finished watching Spider-Man: Far From Home, I turned to my friends and said "Mysterio is just Syndrome." And they agreed.

Working on: Author Appeal | Sandbox | Troper WallGiven how much I love I Was a Teenage Exocolonist and League of Legends, I love to find even the smallest parallels between the two and their themes and characters. For example, Sym is just Ivern if Ivern was an alien pretty boy who can shapeshift.
It builds character.I make these kinds of odd connections between works all the time.
One example that comes to mind is the song "Satan Gave Me a Taco" by Beck, which has lyrics that for some reason remind me of "Albuquerque" by "Weird Al" Yankovic.
Oddly, my dad thought pretty much the exact same thing when I showed him "Satan Gave Me a Taco" once.
Cold turkey's getting stale. Tonight I'm eating crow.

Hello. The aim of this thread is to mention works and/or creators that you think sound, look or are in other way similar. Specifically, similar things that you're pretty sure only you've noticed or think are similar.
For example, I think Carice van Houten and Vera Farmiga look similar, and I think the main themes of Minecraft and Twin Peaks sound similar (though that last one seems to just be me).
Does anyone else have any others?
