There's an episode where it's Zazu's day off, but Gopher informs him that an elephant is blocking the river causing a drought, so Zazu has to spend the rest of the episode dealing with that.
In another episode, Zazu is fired for miscounting the animals, and Gopher gets his job. We never actually see how he fairs in Zazu's job, but apparently well enough that even after Zazu corrects his error, Gopher still remains in Zazu's position, with Zazu having to be his assistant.
By the way, isn't it strange that there's basically two Disney characters named Gopher?

It's a case of A Dog Named "Dog", so it's not that unusual.
Funnily enough, both gophers are Misplaced Wildlife, one living in the English coutryside and one on the African savanna.
So a few of us have apparently been seeing the Mufasa trailer in front of Alien: Romulus. You know. The R-rated movie.
You’re Gonna Carry That Weight.Honestly, I was more concerned about why anyone thought we needed a Lion King prequel, but yeah. Maybe it's there for the same reason Alien: Romulus is: to cash in on franchise nostalgia.
"It's Occam's Shuriken! If the answer is elusive, never rule out ninjas!"I just watched YMS's reaction to the Mufasa trailer. Beside the obvious Kimba joke about the white lion antagonist, his funniest comment was how, since the facial animation is made more expressive in Mufasa than in the 2019 movie, this means the characters lose their ability to emote with their mouths and eyebrows as they age.
Are they any fics that potray Kion, Fuli and Rani as One True Threesome, because I'm tempted to add them to that trope for some time.
If you can't find fics or art depicted that trio romantically then it doesn't count even if you personally ship them.
see my completed Tangled (Varian) fanfic collection! https://archiveofourown.org/works/24467056/chapters/59049532That is the first ship art I've seen for them together and it only has 9 favorites so I think it's still too niche to qualify.

x6 Doesn't explain why young Simba and young Nala aren't very expressive.
- Also, when Vtoony
will release her compilation of zebra characters, I will celebrate it by creating WMG page for Khumba.
After waking up in the morning, I turn on my phone and see that Vtoony had released her compilation of zebras
in The Lion King
Well, I'm a man of his word, and so I go to create the above page for this underrated African movie. Wish me luck!
Update: I did it!

Back into this post
, I see those three (black) university students on weekend breaks as African wild dogs for some strange reason.
Due to Vtoony
uploading today her compilation of birds of prey
in The Lion King media, I want to say something that I wanted to say for quite some time. Namely the fact
that I see Hadithi as a basis for how I imagine Sitka's eagle form to look like, given that in the movie proper Sitka transformed into eagle as a spirit and it was a photo-realistic eagle (similar to Marahute from The Rescuers Down Under) and not a usual semi-realistic Disney animal like his brother Kenai, while Hadithi is the closest thing we have to a semi-realistic eagle in Disney production (besides him, Sitka and Marahute I don't remember any other non-anthropomorphic Disney eagles, with Anga not counting due to having different beak and head than previously mentioned eagles).

Hadithi and Anga are an example of how facial designs indicate gender in Disney animation: females have big eyes and small noses (or in this case beaks), males have small eyes and big noses/beaks.
Actually, martial eagles (Anga's kind) really have such small beaks in real life.
I checked both species, and African hawk-eagles don't have such large beaks either. It's probably intended to be the avian equivalent of Lantern Jaw of Justice on Hadithi, considering his hero status.
Sad news today, as Mufasa's voice actor James Earl Jones has died
at the age of 93.

And then Taka will be bitten in the eye by a strange cobra and he'll use the power of the Roar of the Elders to destroy four members of his pride.
