Is it an example, though? Didn't Think This Through is about plans, where there is a gaping flaw the characters (and audience) failed to acknowledge. OP is just a comical screw-up. I suppose you could argue that the current isn't an example either, but I think it's reasonably comprehensible, so I'm not convinced to pull it.

So if my suggestion isn't Didn't Think This Through for not being a poorly thought out plan, then what trope would it fall under?

7 is way overly texty. OP works without any text, so that's better.
7 does have that early comics "lets make the speech bubbles really long so we don't have to draw as much" issue.
How about:

I don't feel like the mistake is as obvious there. It's less incompetence from the villains and more competence from the victim.
Again, the trope is about plans with a glaring flaw that should have been picked up earlier by the participants, but wasn't for whatever reason.

Crown Description:
Didnt Think This Through

I feel that the current image for Didn't Think This Through is too reliant on the caption, and I'd like to suggest an alternative from Battle for Dream Island, which I feel illustrates the trope better, especially with the second panel.
