The whole bit about animated actors also reprising for live-action appearences makes me wonder where the Commandos will appear in a live-action project.
Aside from Rick Flagg Sr. Whose confirmed to appear in Superman and Peacemaker season 2.
Like in the case of Frankenstein would David Harbour use prosthetics or use cg motion capture to get that huge physique right.
"I am Alpharius. This is a lie."Ennis' hatred of superheroes has been explained multiple times but really, the TLDR version is this:
He thinks they're silly and yet if you want to write comic books, you have to write superheroes versus the horror, crime, and military action ones he wants to write. So there's a lot of sublimated anger.
It also is part of the Boys vs. the Boys show in that the Boys is making fun of superheroes as a concept in comic books while the Boys also critiques larger American corporations and trends.
Author of The Rules of Supervillainy, Cthulhu Armageddon, and United States of Monsters.![]()
Well looking at the creator page that was linked... no still no idea. The only think I've seen on that page is The World Is Not Enough where he seems to have played a very minor role.
seems to look the part though looking at the picture in the article. I'm all for unknowns if they're well cast.

Of course Ennis hatred gets irrational and petty in subjects like thinking Captain America is an insult to WW 2 soldiers.
Despite the fact the character created by a veteran and well liked by soldiers. So he's clearly projecting his hatred despite being an avowed military buff.

"I am Alpharius. This is a lie."I appreciate what Garth Ennis brings to the table with The Punisher and (more fitting for the topic of the thread) Superman, but sometimes he needs to sit down and shut his damn trap, and recognize the context to surround such characters like Steve Rogers.
Self-professed Wild Card who thinks cynicism isn't so bad.Garth Ennis was more at home writing for Avatar Press making horror stories like Stitched and of course Crossed. It's probably what he always wanted to write but didn't have career opportunities back then considering the dominance of Marvel and DC.

Set! Avenge! "Henshin." Black General! Bujin Sword! Ready, Fight!Garth Ennis is like the Ken Penders of DC/Marvel, he doesn’t like, writes his own version and thinks anyone else's writing a childish story.
Man Crossed is one comic that makes me nauseous 🤢 like the artist behind it and especially Ennis as writer cannot be both normal to write such depraved, gore-ish, edgy comic series.

He who controls the present controls the past. He who controls the past, controls the future.Do not compare Garth Ennis to Ken Penders again. Compared to Ken Penders, Garth Ennis comes off as one of the most genial and reasonable comicbook writers you'll see in a 500 kilometer radius.
Garth Ennis, I give some crap here or there, but dude knows how to do comicbooks pretty smoothly at the end of the day, dude knows how to do a good Punisher, the man has respect for Superman, and he didn't try suing either Marvel or DC for infringement of "his characters" because he isn't that asinine. If I criticize Garth Ennis, it comes from a place from someone who still respects some of the works that he's done, but just thinks he's a wee bit too meanspirited, that's it, that's the extent.
Ken Penders is a freak.
Ennis, Moore, and Miller have one thing in common regarding their thoughts on superheroes: they're power fantasies that focus more on killing and retribution than saving and rehabilitation. They're pretty much the police with even less scruples and less restraint.
"Everyone’s equal. Same chances of getting hit. Equal in the eyes of the rocket.”I am kinda excited to see how characters like Damion Wayne get handled. Maybe we'll finally have an incarnation of the character that everyone likes.
Self-professed Wild Card who thinks cynicism isn't so bad.Or, bold idea… he starts, as not a pain in the ass.
Self-professed Wild Card who thinks cynicism isn't so bad. What I'm thinking is more… he's a young kid, a ruthless one, granted… but… he already doesn't like the kind of person he is, and wants to change course. Who else except his own father to set him straight?
I'm more than fine with a flawed character with rough, coarse edges that needs to be worked through, but it needs to be clear that it is an adjustment to process through.
I don't think it has a set release date yet. Last I heard, it was pushed back because they didn't want it to conflict with The Batman (2022) sequel... which itself was pushed back to 2027.
As a side note, while Gunn will be producing, he won't be the director. That's gonna be Andrés Muschietti.

I finally sat down for 3 episodes of Creature Commandos.
I'm digging GI Robot.
EDIT: And finished the 3rd episode. Damn it.
