I focused on getting the Mega Shard plush first for the Mega Stones. Then I got the catching one followed by the one that earned more money. I kind of left the other two alone because I thought they might take away from the challenge of the game too much.
Just went down the list and bought them all evenly, but when it came to the final levels, I left the one regarding player health for last.
On the topic of whether there is Godzilla equivalents: yes, several. Tyranitar, Duraludon, Baxcalibur, all usual stand ins for the big G or related to it. Also, one of the shops in ZA is full of film references, and one of them features a giant Charizard vs a Giant Pangoro in Kaiju font, so we can put Zard in there too.
I followed a guide on easy shard locations and got enough to max out two. I went with exp and catching. Then money, shards and heath in that order (and the last one is still not done)
Considering that you can convert shards into EXP is you don't care for the stoens the argument can be made that doing shards first is the better choice long term.
That also explains why many of them are dragons if only for the saurian frame (ironically the first one is not Dragon-type).
Though it is tiring after a while especially since there are so many kaiju and adjacent media they can pull from instead (even in 'Zilla itself we have Mothra and King Gidorah [which I think Hydreigon is based off of])

You can still get greninjaite in season 2 of ranked battles it will be rank y reward and s rank will be delphoxite https://x.com/SerebiiNet/status/1983646039006703833
Chesnaughtite will be released next season. The rewards for higher ranks are more standard items like large amounts of Mega Shards.
that is meh. But at least they making sure jhonny-come-latlies can get Mega Greninja.

Mothra was last gen in the form of Gigantimax Butterfree, but also Volcorona if you like the reverent deity of the sun and reincarnation motifs. Mega Starmie is very Ultraman, and im sure Gigantimax Dreadnaw is a Gamera inspired mon too. Though my expertise mostly involves the Gorilla franchise, Lockstin does speculate on other inspirations in a video from a while back.
I mean in terms of psudo-legendaries. Butterfree is the antithesis of such, and the rest are also disqualified from that category even if they refernce kaiju toku.
Like it is too much to ask for psudo line that isn't the fifth Notzilla here? Let along a Dragon-type one. Like Metagross is a unique case, Hydreigon at least has not begin a direct godzilla reference going for it and even Dragonite feels more unique (if only for taking after Barney the dinosaur in looks) than the average pseudo line.
maybe if the Dragon-type was exclusive to those lines and legendaries I wouldn't be annoyed with the lack of diversity here but Gen 4 and 5 making them so widely available means that TPC and its components have no escuses to do something else for a pseudo-legendary line this time.
Yeah, it would be nice to see another non-Dragon pseudo line, even one that’s not dragon-like at all.
Join the Five-Man Band cleanup project!I missed the coversation about the Canari plushies. Other than the small Experience boosting plushie that was handed to me early on, I never got any others, both because I haven't found the place to trade in Colorful Screws for them and because most of the obstacle courses I've seen with Screws at the end seem impossible to reach without a jump command.

Yeah, the Construction company is a almost completely nondescript building note in a random location and iirc you don't actually get a fast travel point to it until after the Canari fight, not to mention the guy who trades with you is a non-descript NPC who looks identical to all the other construction workers and who iirc doesn't even have a special yellow text box.
I feel you about finding it being a Guide Dang It!.
If you're still looking for it, it on the outer ring of the city, northeast of Wild Zone 1. Just keep going counterclockwise from WZ 1 and you'll get there soon enough. It's on the inside side of the street.

Hmmm. You might have to physically enter the building, which you have no reason to do until you seek out Canari.
I definitely visited the location to purchase Plushes multiple times before that point, but until actually entering the building during that part of the story I always had to trek from the nearest Pokemon Center whenever I wanted to do it.

It should be noted that you do go to the building where the Canari Plush trader is as part of the plot (because someone connected to the construction workers is competing in the ZA Royale), but it's not hard to find the building. Southeast corner of Lumiose on the outer ring.
Just make sure you go inside the building to get the quick travel point.
Edits culled a potential spoiler and fixed directions because I can be bad at them.

"We're all paper, we're all scissors, we're all fightin' with our mirrors, scared we'll never find somebody to love."RE: Hydreigon contrary to popular belief, isn't based on Ghidorah, he's actually based on the Yamato No Orochi then had his heads reduced to three to simplify the design, the the wings are a remnant of that influence.
He was originally going to be a cyborg tank but then got the design we all know.
"The Black Rage makes us strong, because we must resist its temptations every day of our lives or be forever damned!"And king ghidorah is also based on Orochi so it still fits id think. In fact, in one canon King Ghidorah was Yamata No Orochi explicitly

No, they are both based but went in their own direction, and there's nothing really to imply that Hydreigon is based on Ghidorah when Nintendo has been upfront about which Pokemon is a Godzilla reference like with Tyranitar and Baxcalibur.
"The Black Rage makes us strong, because we must resist its temptations every day of our lives or be forever damned!"

Page topper:talking about the Canari plushies.
