I'm in favor of this change. The addition of Carl and Ellie skywatching helps to support the context of the trope being characters pointing out a cloud's resemblance to an object rather than just having the image be a cloud the resembles an object.

(Got deja vu so for the curious, a similar but not identical shot is on Grow Old with Me)
I'm fine with 1.1.

(That's why I said "similar but not identical", I would have objected if it was identical.

I don't think the second panel is needed, so I vote for 1.2. Yes, the trope is about people thinking that a cloud looks like something, but it's often portrayed as it actually shaped like that thing, and it's obvious that the cloud is deliberately shaped like a turtle.
Fjón þvæ ég af mér fjanda minna rán og reiði ríkra manna. But that isn't the trope, though? It's not "funny cloud shapes", it's "observing the sky and pointing out shapes".
Working on: Author Appeal | Sandbox | Troper Wall![]()
. It also looks better.

That Cloud Looks Like

As discussed on the Ask for Explanations thread here
current appears to be an uncredited photo that may have originated as an old demotivational meme. So how about this from Up:
We could go with just the turtle cloud as well:
But I have to admit I like the context that keeping Carl and Ellie on their picnic, skywatching.
