Weak to 1.3

The trope isn't just about dutiful sons or daughters though. It's about the the conflict between a dutiful offspring who stays to look after their parents and one who doesn't (often because they have some sort of other responsibility like being a superhero or involved with something else like the military or a hidden magical destiny that the other sibling may not even know about).
What Gracie Lizzy said. 1.1 at least has the right idea. The other two illustrate the trope name rather than the actual trope.
Bigotry will NEVER be welcome on TV Tropes.Changing my vote to 1.1 then
I'll admit 1.1 is my suggestion and is wordier than I'd like. If someone can find something more succinct that still shows the siblings disagreeing or fighting I'd be happy to swap. I just don't think the other two get that across.
Yeah, it's 1.1 for me. I wanted to try to find something for the Parable of the Prodigal Son from the Gospel of Luke, but there wasn't anything that made it obvious who the Dutiful Son was.
1.1, if nothing better is suggested.
back lol1.1 is a bit too page quotey for me, so I'm attaching a clock to see if stronger consensus for it will come about.
None of these are really doing it for me.
I'd like to apologize for all this. We're past clocking, so I've hooked a crowner. Shutting off clock.

Crown Description:
The Dutiful Son
Multiple images were suggested on the main thread
1.1. from Green Lantern
1.2. from The Sopranos
But I have a suggestion of my own
1.3. from Ramayana (It's Sravana Kumar, a young man and doting son who King Dritharasthra - father of our protagonist - accidentally killed while on a hunting trip. His parents cursed him, his punishment being that he too would lose his own son - The king is later arm-twisted into banishing Prince Rama (leading to the events of the story), and dies of grief before he can return home)
