Not really for me, I've always been a huge fan of As told by Ginger in particular.
When Dracula's Curse is manageable through grand melodies.I can't really think of any specific examples, but I have occasionally had moments of "This is a great show, but this hit way too close to home" for some works.
Cold turkey's getting stale. Tonight I'm eating crow.
and OP: such feelings is why i can't bring myself to rewatch Puella Magi Madoka Magica
I’ve only watched the Plinkett review of Ghostbusters (2016.) Though I agreed with it and found it helped me make better critical choices, the review made me paranoid and remorseful despite not having seen the movie.
While I applaud the more than thorough detail, I don’t like being on edge thus have no desire to watch any of Red Letter Media’s content. Even if justified and well researched, I don’t like it when spite is held to the highest degree.
I’ll stick to my peers for criticism as opposed to the arguments made by people who don’t care about me nor know I exist.

Does it have to be western animation?
But I feel like this about the movie based on When the Wind Blows.
Stop playing rimshots this isn't funnyI can't really think of anything with which I have the specific sort of relationship OP describes, but I do get the general experience of "I find this work very enjoyable/effective but it's so emotionally draining I'd prefer to revisit it as few times as possible." One piece of Western animation I feel this way towards is the Casper the Friendly Ghost cartoon There's Good Boos Tonight; it's a good cartoon, but I doubt I can watch it again because I find it so absolutely sad even just thinking about it makes me cry note .
"Let's hear it for Nine Inch Nails! Woo, they're good!"

Simply put; has anyone ever seen a western animation film and/or tv show that, while enjoyable to you at some capacity, hasn’t always been one that you would be eager to rewatch, first chance you got, because it tended to make you think too much and not necessarily in a good way, or at least not in a way that you would really feel comfortable with?
For me, the biggest ones, off the top of my head are;
Frozen
The Avatar franchise
Much of the Marvel Comics animated material in general
Some of the Pixar films
As told by Ginger
- Any thoughts?
