Apple's Peanuts stuff has been hit or miss, so I'm tentatively interested in this one. It could be really good, or it could be another miss.
I think overall they perceive Peanuts as more of a "feel-good series with wholesome aesops and lots of friendship power" franchise than what really works with the characters, but they have had the occasional really good story with the characters here and there.
So who knows.
I haven't really seen any of the Peanuts cartoons over at Apple, since I don't have Apple, so I have no idea how the Peanuts cartoons are like over there. However, I do remember loving The Peanuts Movie when it came out, so I do wonder if this new Peanuts movie will compare to the Peanuts Movie.
I love animation, TV, movies, YOU NAME IT!If it doesn't involve needless pop culture references, dated songs or Toilet Humor like 90% of bad movies based on popular kid's products, it'll be just fine. Seriously, I remember watching The Peanuts Movie and being afraid they'd throw in a dirty joke or something.
I remember not liking The Peanuts Movie much due to it not breaking a lot of new ground, aside from the Peanuts gang being in CGI.
Like creepy stories? Check out my book!I liked it too. :) I also remember the part where Charlie Brown caused the sprinkler system to go off, which made a bunch of water fall on Pig Pen and clean him up very nicely, which made the girl he was about to kiss stop and confusedly ask "Do I know you?" XD
Come on! Let's bless them all until we get fershnickered!

Well, there was a tweet from their Twitter and statements from their executives, so I guess it’s official: there’s going to be a new Peanuts movie.
Apple TV+ made the announcement that there’s gonna be a new movie about the characters traveling to New York City. I don’t know whether once can really consider it a sequel, but the writers and director of the Blue Sky Peanuts Movie are coming back. WildBrain will animate.
Here’s the tweet from Apple [3]
, the article announcing it from Variety [4]
and the first official image:
I was worried Apple was done with animated films once they cut ties with Skydance, so it’s nice to see them keeping in the game.
And I see New York is entirely populated by children now!
You’re Gonna Carry That Weight.
