Whoops. I forgot about Dr. Stone yesterday.
Time to get sciencing on finishing our drone to steal the Medusa device and a countermeasure to deal with the wild card Moz! We've gone back to where it all began vs. Tsukasa... Gunpowder. Unfortunately, the best option we have for a sharpshooter is Yo. Fortunately, Amaryllis is easily able to charm him to keep him in line. Next, we revive our power team for the struggle that'll go down over the Medu... Holy hell, Nikki's boobs! ...I mean, Nikki, Magma, and Kinro are revived. Kinro immediately knows something has happened to Ginro, and is all fired up for the battle now. And now all the pieces are in place, it has begun!
Yeah, Yuzuriha got really creative with Nikki's outfit this time around.
Aside from that, I like how heavy the atmosphere gets when all the pre-stone folks see the gun parts, and realize what they are creating, and what does that mean for the fight going forward. Finally, I have to question why did they put Suika in the front lines?, considering they wanted to appear as strong mysterious warriors, a child-sized one isn't really fitting that image.

That sounds way more like the actual content of the manga than butts and R34 stuff.
Like, I understand focusing on smut in My Dress-Up Darling (that was blatantly how the author got people hooked), or Apothecary Diaries, but it almost feels wrong for Frieren.
Final Reactions: Houkago Shounen Hanako-kun
A pretty AWWWWWWW 4 short episodes! Misaki Kuno as Tiara honestly felt like Typecasting, and the Kamome Monster Academy part was just adorable! Now to play the waiting game for S2...
I haven't gotten around to watching Frieren yet, but my impression from reading our page on it is that it's like a less bloody To Your Eternity tone-wise.
Frieren is a series I really want to watch, though I'm a little worried the names will get corny.
Nach jeder Ebbe kommt die Flut.Undead Unluck is fantastic as well, 100GF is only edging it out right now because the hype machine for UU is still in the process of cranking itself up.
On that note, these are also pretty good:
- HYPNOSISMIC -Division Rap Battle- Rhyme Anima+
- Apothecary Diaries
- OVERTAKE
- Tearmoon Empire
- Shangri-la Frontier
- Migi to Dali
- Under Ninja
- Saihate no Paladin: Tetsusabi no Yama no Ou
And I’m also counting Pluto here.
I can agree with Kusuriya and Migi to Dali, the former because Maomao is pretty cool and the latter because it's so unsettling that it keeps me glued, but the edge of Hametsu, the simple mysteries of Ron Kamonohashi, and the overwhelming AWWWWWWW from Do Tennen also have a place in my Fall pantheon.
@Nachtwandler: I would find it kind of corny if an anime had characters with names like "Freeze", "Distant", and "Heaven", too. There does at least seem to be some effort to make the names at least tangentially related to the character, so I'm probably not going to see a character named "Krankheitsversicherung". And mind you, I do still want to see the show, so I don't think it's an insurmountable problem.

Nach jeder Ebbe kommt die Flut.It does sound kind of weird when names are infinitive verbs- like Frieren herself- or in the case of Sein, a pronoun. But I do appreciate that the author did some research. It's much better than names like "Illyasviel von Einzborn".

Nach jeder Ebbe kommt die Flut. And yet, that could be considered one of the less silly names in the Nasuverse.
Pronoun as a name reminds me of this fairy tale.

It's that time of the cour for Mid-Season Reactions!!
Shangri-la Frontier: It being action-packed is a plus! The OP and ED are both bangers, though the OP is slightly more. Let's dive deeper into this game, shall we?
Overtake: I dig the OP more than the ED. More to the point, the racing here is pretty interesting to see, but the character interactions do seem like the glue to all this. RIP to Satsuki's racing career though... It'd be a miracle if he bounces back!
Dark Gathering 2nd cour: The part with Eiko and Yayoi dealing with the haunted property involving an Angel, babies, and the horror of pregnancy was genuinely scary to the point that I would scoff at anti-abortion people trying to defend their belief after seeing that... How would it get scarier from here is what I would wanna know... Also, the ED is a soothing bop!
Boushoku no Berserk: Fate's pretty edgy, though the story is pretty standard. All my homies hate the Vlericks and the rest of the "holy" knights EXCEPT for naïve Roxy... Also, I like the ED more than the OP for this one, though kudos to the artist behind both!

I'm not watching many shows, but for some reason I am finding strong similarities between Frieren and Maomao from Apothecary Diaries. They're both...
- Guile Heroines
- Doing their best not to show how talented they are
- Weirdly obsessed with a peculiar hobby
- Displaying behaviors that I think put them "on the spectrum" - their social skills are just fine, they understand other humans very well, but they just can't bother at times
I'm not watching tons of anime, but I don't think it is a common behavior for lead characters (female ones at least). I might be mistaken.

I think that might just be the people you follow, or the places on the internet you lurk.
I'm not watching Frieren and the art I've seen from reblogs/retweets breaks down into roughly 50% basic character artworks and 50% melancholy fanart.
