I dunno about this game, honestly. The enemy designs and platforming are definitely Prince of Persia, but the combat and the player designs feel they retooled someone’s pitch about anime hip-hop warriors into a Prince of Persia that’s “down with the kids”. And as some have mentioned on You Tube, the hip hop music in the trailer doesn’t help.
Also, is it just me, or does the protagonist look like Killmonger from the MCU?
A good writer puts in a lot of details in there story. But a great one gets a story from a single detail.Yeah, this game seems to be combining elements of the original Prince of Persia games and the Sands of Time games. Namely, the former's 2D platforming and the latter's emphasis on combat.
I personally didn't care for the music in the first trailer, but it isn't any worse (or better) than Godsmack's "I Stand Alone".
GameCentral interviewed Mounir Radi, the director of "The Lost Crown"
. The game's mechanics and music were discussed, among other things.
Polygon has a review primarily focusing on the gameplay.
There is a potential spoiler in one section for those who want to avoid it.
So Prince of Persia: The Lost Crown was released yesterday and seems to have a positive reception to.
To anyone here whos' played it, thoughts?
I'm loving it. It is really scratching that Hollow Knight itch, which was sorely lacking in other Metroidvania's I've played in the meantime, such as Yoku Island or Blasphemous. The combat is fun and engaging, the world is huge; the abilities are entertaining. As I said it does take a lot of inspiration of Hollow Knight, but it manages to be it's own beast. So far there's a much greater emphasis on puzzle solving. I really like that eye thing that allows you to take pictures for future reference.

You can only write so much in your forum signature. It's not fair that I want to write a piece of writing yet it will cut me off in the mid

We don't seem to have a thread for this franchise. And with a new game recently revealed at Game Summerfest, I figured making one was appropriate.
