I agree that these don't need to be indexes. to de-indexing
TRS Queue | Works That Require Cleanup of Complaining | Troper WallPeople don't necessarily know the Trivia subpage can be used for things of this nature.
Scientia et Libertas | Per Aspera ad Astra Nova…Sorry, but I’m not sure what that has to do with the argument to deindex the award shows.
At the very least deindex mere nominations.
1001 Albums You Must Hear Before You Die (all editions) progress: 410/1089 (37.65%)I think the idea is that, if people don't think it can be catalogued on the work's trivia page, they'll think having it be indexed on a list of [x] winners is the only way for its award-winning status to be "formally" recognized on the work page.
The purpose of indexing all those seems to be, "Here are all the awards this won or was nominated for". Like, wow look! Triangle of Sadness's award category indexes outnumber the others. What a good movie it is!?
At least.
Conversely the Razzies (an "award" show for thinly veiled complaining about how much something sucks) are also indexed: Golden Raspberry Award.
I agree with de-indexing.
You can't always get what you want. The Razzies is definitely something I feel uneasy indexing at all. Not averse to deindexing the lot to be safe. Winning an award is a nice detail but not so important to a work itself. It's better in the trivia tab anyways (well, not the Razzies).

Bumping for exposure. My view is still consistent with my last post.
1001 Albums You Must Hear Before You Die (all editions) progress: 410/1089 (37.65%)De-indexing is fine with me.
Macron's notesTropers/Morganwick: Yes, this is what I mean.
Scientia et Libertas | Per Aspera ad Astra NovaTo deindexing them.
Fine with deindexing.
Currently mostly inactive. An incremental game I tested: https://galaxy.click/play/176 (Gods of Incremental)Nothing's come of this and the sister thread covering "Overdosed" "indexes" lately. I think we should ultimately put this to a poll, where I'm keen on deindexing all covered in those threads.
1001 Albums You Must Hear Before You Die (all editions) progress: 410/1089 (37.65%)Should we do three separate crowners for all three? Or one at a time?
Art Museum Curator and frequent helper of the Web Original deprecation projectAlright, I'll hook a crowner on what to do but here are the options
- De-index award shows
- Keep award shows indexed
Do we have any other options?

Art Museum Curator and frequent helper of the Web Original deprecation projectHooked a crowner and added the second option (which is just the opposite of the first)
Edit: Sorry, I meant requesting a crowner.

Art Museum Curator and frequent helper of the Web Original deprecation projectI don't see it? Also only staff can hook crowners?
TroperWall / WikiMagic CleanupI find the wording of the proposed options ambiguous. (Could be read as referring to the indexes that the award show pages themselves are on.) How about:
- Don't use award show pages as indexes for work pages
- Keep using award show pages as indexes for work pages
Much better
Art Museum Curator and frequent helper of the Web Original deprecation projectIf one is the inverse of the other, is there a point of listing both?

Crown Description:
Due to concerns of index bloat, several tropers asked what should be done about award shows being used as indexes on works.- Vote UP to stop using award shows as indexes on work pages.
- Vote DOWN to keep using award shows as indexes on work pages.
Back on my "defeat index bloat"What's index bloat, Sync? crusade: do things like Tony Award Winners, Academy Award For Best Picture actually need to be indexes? Is it not enough that the winners and nominees are properly catalogued on the UN page or (if necessary) the Trivia subpage?
Let's take... Titanic (1997). Its indexing is already not working properly (see how the Epic Movie doesn't show the previous or subsequent work in the index).
And while it probably doesn't need to be on all of the other ones (Sea Stories and indexes like it are scrutinized elsewhere, Lighter and Softer?), of its indexes, 11 are for awards, etc. it has won or was nominated for.
