Found Video Games - would this make for a good trope?

(Disclaimer: I was on this forum a long long time ago, and I’ve pretty much forgot how everything works. So I apologize if I’m posting this in the wrong area or if I ask obvious questions.)

I’ve noticed a very interesting sub-genre of video games that doesn’t seem to have its own page yet: the Found Video Game (this temporary title is obviously terrible and will probably change lol). To put it simply, this trope refers to a video game with the same general backstory that Found Footage Films have.

In other words, it’s a Video Game (or any interactive media, for that matter), which is presented as being made by a fictional “Person A”, but in reality, it was made by someone else (“Person B”). For instance, if I posted a video game that I claimed was made by my deceased friend and only recently rediscovered, that would be a “Found Video Game”.

This trope seems noteworthy because, unlike literature or film, it’s much more difficult to make an entire video game appear to be a false document. This is because a normal person can certainly point a camera at someone, or write a diary entry - but most people would NOT be able create a full video game. This necessitates a more complicated backstory and more explanation on the part of the real author.

But despite this, I’ve already found a pretty good number of works that fit this trope!

Video Games:

Other interactive media:

So basically I’m checking if this is a good idea for a new trope. If it is, I actually have no idea how to go about making a page for it, so I’d really appreciate any advice o you could give lol. And, of course, any additional examples you can provide would be greatly appreciated.

I'm a bit confused. Is this about video games that have a Found Footage Films format, or is the game presented in such a way that the game itself is the found footage?

In either case, I just skimmed some examples down and Her Story doesn't look like either? It's not really found footage-esque from the description. It looks more like an interactive movie game where you piece together a bunch of mixed up clips to get the actual story behind a mystery.

It’s possible that the trope doesn’t apply to the two related works ‘’Her Story’’ and ‘’Telling Lies’’, since they’re a bit on the “softer” side of things. In other words, the games’ real creators don’t put too much effort into actively lying and insisting that this as an authentic document.

However, I would say that both games ARE still presented as though you are looking through catalogues of authentic documents. In one case it is a digital library police interrogations with the suspect (possibly “suspects”, plural?) in a murder investigation. And the other one has you looking through a catalogue of secretly recorded phone conversations and videos (I believe - I haven’t played that one yet). The player themselves is tasked with going through these, as though they are real.
