They just announced on their Twitter that they are replacing Tara Strong. https://x.com/boxtownofficial/status/1712542262406820178?s=46&t=7YT7yMPCw2VMMwQUxWj5_A

You’re Gonna Carry That Weight.Okay, I’ll elaborate. Tara Strong has been a controversial figure these past few years. Most recently, she liked some Islamophobic tweets on Twitter.
You’re Gonna Carry That Weight.
I suspect that might be what did it. The only reason she’s probably still on Loki is the SAG strikes.
I mean, if her vocal support for AI voices (ironic because as a decorated voice actress, you'd think she'd be shaming it into oblivion), crypto BS, and NFTs didn't clinch it, this one definitely did.
And thank freaking god, because wow, she really shot her foot with this.
Yeah, she might have done her lines for Loki waaaaaaaay before any of these real-life situations popped up. On the off-chance we see Miss Minutes in anything else, I won't be surprised if she sounds completely different.

I looked on Strong’s Twitter to find the Islamophobic tweet she liked (I’ve mostly seen screenshots of it). No luck but I have seen some more tame tweets in her likes so it could have been something she liked by mistake (it happens) or something in the heat of the moment when emotions were running hot and she’s calmed down by now.
You’re Gonna Carry That Weight.Okay, now Strong has posted on her Twitter that she just found out she was fired from the tweet. She is accusing the producers of being antisemitic.

"Just found out on twitter! This is what happens when you help fans get shows made I guess. Fired for being Jewish. Glad I helped you get your kickstarter money. Please lose my email address & pray for my family in Israel and in Gaza. & #prayforpeace."

Whelp! She and I had a good run.
Now I'm ready for Twilight Sparkle, Sari Sumdac, Raven, ten-year-old Ben, and Miss Minutes to sound very different on the off-chance we see them again.

Tara has made another tweet explaining that she didn’t read the whole tweet when she liked it. She unliked it once she realized her mistake. Looks like the damage is done though…

"I liked it when I saw ISIS=HAMAS, I actually didn’t read the entire tweet which is AWFUL & unliked as SOON as I realized. I love everyone…except terrorists. The internet is SO quick to peg people & make judgements. I’m still here to help everyone, & I mean that"

I wonder if this incident with that tweet is gonna be a Role-Ending Misdemeanor for Tara Strong?

Eh, not in the big industry. Small indie projects are easily susceptible to social media pressures since they're not big enough to weather the storm. But I've seen studios brush off social media controversies for other actors in similar situations.
And honestly, the current real life situation that sparked all of this is one that could easily backfire on the accusers.
Yeah, those guys, too. Plus Ilana, Harley Quinn, Ashi, Wonder Pink, Batgirl, Paz, X-23, yeah just literally all of them. (Good grief, so many roles...)
Recast everyone. I don't care.
I mean, Justin Roiland also got booted from Rick and Morty when his dirty laundry got aired out, especially when it turned that his major contribution was voices and not story or anything.
Also, the Boxtown team must've seen Strong's antisemitism claims and drew their reverse UNO card.

Summary: "The show follows Tim, a so-so detective with a knack for conning both clients and suspects alike, as he teams up with Bill, a squish-able and earnest orphan obsessed with true crime. Although they're an unlikely duo, Tim and Bill share one common goal: solving cases even if for Bill, it's more altruistic than Tim's main motivators, which are to make money, and to stick it to the city's prestigious corporate detective agency"

Oh yeah and Alex Hirsch and Tara Strong involved!
