He just got a Full Restore, he can probably still use DE. More broadly, one of my issues with JJK is that he both could or couldn't and it's entirely up to Gege whether the rules break in whose favor at any given moment. For all the praise I've seen for how consistent and well-put-together the power system is, we're at the point where there are so many exceptions and caveats that you can dress up basically any degree of author fiat with some Magi Babble and people will buy it.
Dopants: He meant what he said and he said what he meant, a Ninety is faithful 100%.What gave you that idea? Like, is there a quote from a particular fan translation confirming this theory? I assume there are a number of them out there.
Yes, his appearance is back to its original. How does that imply that he magically replenished all the cursed energy he lost and fixed all of his brain damage? If anything, it's very consistent with the rest of the series that buffing his appearance doesn't give him back his power. Numerous fights against Mahito made it clear that changing your appearance comes at a cost.
There is no war in Ba Sing Se.Sukuna is The Heavy, so splitting their forces to go after Kenjaku would be absurd. I seriously hope Yuta and Shoko are hard at work putting Gojo back together. It's kinda weird that his body is unaccounted for, so there's hope he's not dead yet.
Genuinely, I hope Sukuna can't break out of the courtroom. He needs to have some kind of weakness.

I was getting the vibe back in Shibuya that he was just too damn strong. It's only now that it's becoming a detriment to the narrative that I'm concerned.

Just Having FunI think it was easier to appreciate Sukuna in small doses. We knew he was going to be a hindrance but he at least had some things holding him back and he was a problem independent of our primary antagonists. Now he's more or less joined said primary antagonists (unless Kenjaku stabs him in the back) on top of being an obstacle literally no one in our hero team seems even halfway equipped to handling.
Basically he's Gojou but for the villains, so strong that he trivialises anything our heroes can do which is an issue because it means that Gege has to start finding ways to make his defeat make sense. And how Gojou's was handled....leaves a bit to be desired.
I absolutely cannot help but adore handsome 2D boysNow I appreciate a good update on Kenjaku as much as the next guy, after all there's a problem with a number of plot threads not really being touched on right now. But a smash cut to Kenny in the middle of the Sukuna fight worries me. We've seen that Gege is happy to offscreen important developments and I would hate to miss the Courtroom scene like we missed Hakarai's expansion against Uraume.
Just Having FunI´m wasn´t a fan of Takaba. I generally dislike uncontroled techniques (also why i don´t like Hakaris fights) and Takabas comedy stick was previously just... weird (and not in a good way).
But seeing Kenjaku act as a suprisingly competent critic and even going along with the stick strikes a really good balance between comedy and drama. I´m enjoying this fight already way more than i was expecting.
And oh god Kenjakus face!!! I don´t remember when i last saw something that made me laugh that much!
Putting here due to being a manga spoiler, and not wanting anime onlies to find it, but this might be my all time favorite Gojover meme:
You know, Kishimoto got a lot of flak over his treatment of fmeale characters but he never had one lose her powers/relevance in the story all because she accidentally made an unbreakable vow. Miwa looks like an absolute dimwit here.
Otherwise, it's a cool chapter. I think they should've had this planning scene earlier, before the fight with Sukuna so that the Sorcerers didn't look completely incompetent.
Just Having FunIn hindsight, JJK is a lot better if you stop reading at, like, the Origins of Obedience arc.
Bewitching EyesI'd still say that Kishimoto was overall worse at handling female characters in Naruto but...
...*siiiiiiiiiigh*
Akutami went from doing super well to just completely botching it save for Maki.
Nah, Shibuya is peak and some of the Culling Game fights are great.
But it probably says something that I'm way more excited about seeing them animated.

Half of it is memes, half of it is being annoyed by the execution, similar to Kashimo. Nobody really expected Miwa to do anything that significant the same way nobody was actually surprised that Sukuna killed Kashimo. But finding out that she lost her only known ability on an absolutely pointless gambit just makes the whole thing feel particularly sour.
I absolutely cannot help but adore handsome 2D boysHonestly a lot of what I've seen has been genuine, serious anger that Miwa's been taken out like this. There's jokes, but most of it comes off as genuine rage.
...also man, I must be forgetting way too much of the Culling Games cuz I remember barely anything about Kashimo.
God, maybe I should do a reread sometime.
It already is, I'm just baffled that it's with a character as tertiary as *Miwa*.

Also...the whole reason the domain battle ended was because Gojo and Sukuna brain damaged themselves trying to spam their domains. Obviously that won't work anymore. If it did, he'd probably have opened his domain against Kashimo, especially after the first space slash failed. It's not clear that Sukuna automatically wins against everyone.
