On the actual Ms. Fanservice page it says "In order for a woman to qualify as Ms. Fanservice, just being attractive isn't enough. She needs to be shown in scenes intended as sexual fanservice" (emphasis in the original). Which means that basically none of the characters here qualify
Huh? The game is not 80% female, it’s 60%. Pretty much every patch it’s 1:1 male female for the 5*, the 4*s are slightly skewed at launch and has roughly stayed that way.
Lies. There's currently 16 female 5*s to 11 males, and the 4*s are an even more lopsided 15 to 6. And next patch is introducing 2 female 5*s with no dudes in sight. ...Which is to say that it's about two-thirds female
That is roughly a 5:3 ratio, ‘roughly 60%’ was me avoiding semantics and math.
And the next patch is uhh well the whole Firefly vx Sam thing is rather funny, not knowing the story it’s a guy and girl… knowing the story it’s 2 girls. The patch after is looking to be 2 guys and 1 girl if leaks are correct.
Not really Screwellum has been almost here for like 3 patches now. Also I don't know which second guy Memers is talking about, there's one guy that's not on the "Going to get here eventually surely" list (Screwellum and Sunday) and that's it as far as I know

I absolutely cannot help but adore handsome 2D boysI currently counted 48 characters + the Trailblazer.
Of those 48, 16 + 1 alt are male, and 31 are female. So it's a pretty clear 2:1 ratio (heh). It will be 33 to 17 next patch in all likelihood.
Behavior-wise, the only characters who act like Ms. Fanservice are, I would say, Black Swan, Kafka, Tingyun, Sparkle, and maybe Guinaifen. Jingliu, Himeko, Acheron or Topaz are designed with "sexy" in mind but do not act accordingly in the actual game. And it's almost certain Jade will also fall in that category with how little we've seen of her too (but not Firefly).
The 4* and default 5* roster is actually pretty, erm, restrained in that regard.

Nicholas pulling an even bigger brain move than a duet with Andrew Russell by inviting a large portion of the EN VA cast (both playables and NPCs) to sing "White Night":
Just saw it, it was incredible.
They even made Camden do the "take me away" whisper, let's fricken go!
Goddammit, Schezo... || *insert incredibly thirsty copypasta about Dr. Ratio*Now I do think that a tiddy game like HI 3, where everyone gets passively sexualized to hell and back shouldn't count for Ms. Fanservice. It should only matter when there is notably more sexual fanservice than average for the work; like Kafka compared to Firefly and Silver Wolf, even though FF gets a lot more romantic tease and fanservice of the "look at how this cute girl who could have anyone just wants you" type, and SW shows more skin, it's undeniable that Kafka is framed in a much sexier way and has notable instances where it's clear the audience is supposed to just enjoy looking at her. It's all in the framing and the treatment.
Does anyone actually read these? The character doesn't get any kit info, path info or any of the like info and yet literally every single time the one thing leakers CAN say with full certainty is that he will be playable. It's not worth doomposting about and the character is blatantly telegraphed to come back in a different form later or else he's just be dead.
I absolutely cannot help but adore handsome 2D boysEven without the leaks, there's a huge difference between the treatment of Sunday and Cocolia, enough to call them foils. I'd definitely say that the guy willing to kill himself to protect his beloved sister despite having no other friends because he believes that his worldview can save everybody has so many playable flags, compared to the lady who was willing to sacrifice her beloved daughter, friends, and also the entire lower class all to preserve her station.
That's also not getting into the quests, where you can console Serval about how Cocolia needed to be put down, and also assure Robin that Sunday might still be out there.
And I've heard nothing definite either way, except that unlike Genshin model data isn't enough to determine playability in and of itself. But I'd still be shocked if we don't get a playable Sunday.
And yes, this post is brought to you from a survivor of the Attacks of the Salty Signora Mains in their Scaramouche Crusade.

Does anyone actually read these?Yup, HSR does their drip marketing across the week leading up to the livestream, which is this Friday.
We might even get to see the new dripee's in-game models, since HSR confirmed to be present during the Summer Games Fest, whose opening stream is later that day. Last time they were at an event they sneak peaked Acheron.

Yunli is to be voiced by Brenna Larsen, i.e., Boothill's EN VA's IRL wife. Cue fandom shenanigans.
"They played us like a DAMN FIDDLE!" — Kazuhira Miller, Metal Gear Solid V: The Phantom PainRe: Amplifier Artifact:
It is mainly a "dump" method for a certain someone to put names of 3rd and 5th eidolons on characters' trope lists
Related to that, I'm honestly on the fence about "trying to put the names of the eidolons in the trope lists"
Re: Light Cones:
I think it's still fine to list them in the characters' trope lists, as they specify how the cones' effects fit the character in their own ways
Re: Ms. Fanservice:
With the way gacha games operate, every gachable character is practically someone's "type", so I'd argue that there's no such thing as "if everyone's a Ms. Fanservice, no one is" (otherwise why do they have such fanservicey designs?)
But if we argue on stricter definitions, then I can name a few actual Ms. Fanservice here: Kafka, Black Swan, Jade
Re: Yunli:
Wow she's so Premium Clara
The 'Cone fits the character' is entering Tutorial mode and a character page not the place for that. If the cone does a specific thing that is troped then sure that's fine.
Some cones feature the character and are not even the right path let alone fit them, that is more worthy of note than what the cone does tbh.... But its them on it and the lore of the cone is about them.
What would be my suggestion is a layout like this
Arlan
Introduced: April 26, 2023 (v1.0 "The Rail Unto the Stars" [game launch])
Voiced by: Tao Dian (Chinese), Ryōko Shiraishi (Japanese), Kim Yul (Korean), Dani Chambers (English)

Path: The Destruction
Type: Lightning

I'm just echoing the frustration of another troper who went ahead and deleted multiple mentions
