Watched the movie earlier today. I'm not sure how they're going to wrap up three different villain factions in one movie but we'll see. I didn't much like him at first but Spider-Punk won me over in the end and is easily my favorite of the new characters even if I can't understand him half the time. Looking forward to the next one.

I cannot believe the MCU has literally made a show and a movie to hype a multiversal threat but they managed to show it here with the Spot in a natural way that made him go from joke to terrifying from the start to the end.

And if anyone asks, I know theyre entirely different characters but the MCU was selling people on the Kang threat and I think this sold a multiversal threat way better

It's just that that's, like, kind of the point. Spot's meant to be a pathetic Rogues Gallery bottom-feeder who obtains phenomenal cosmic power but can't think of anything to do with it other than pathetic Rogues Gallery bottom-feeder stuff. Limitless godlike power? Cool, I can really piss off my local neighborhood do-gooder with that!
Kang's supposed to be a dignified, ultra-terrifying menace. So powerful and scary is he that one wonders how he could ever possibly be defeated. And that just doesn't vibe with him perpetually getting his teeth kicked in like Team Rocket.
Different villains require different beats to set up.

My Tumblr. Currently side-by-side liveblogging Digimon Adventure, sub vs dub.I just want a scene where after she learns Miles’ secret, she learns what the spider-society did and goes to town on all of them.

Spider society is grounded for six months.

He doesn’t actually seem evil. Just cold and hard because of his rough upbringing. So really the only real villain is Spot.
Spiderman is getting as many new outfits as the Assassin's Brotherhood.

Agreed on the costume. I've seen what his original costume looked like and it was so dull since it was just a moderately alter version of the classic. The one from the movie is just a great all around design all on its own.
Now I'm just waiting to hear how much of Punk's British Slang is true to life.
A while ago, I brought up the possibility that Beyond might be affected by the WGA strike. This tweet by Chris Miller
says that animation feature writers are covered by TAG. So while they’re still getting a raw deal, it’s probably not likely that any strikes are gonna cause a delay. Probably. I don’t know for certain.
I feel like I'm the only one who doesn't like Hobie.
Peter's point isn't about that. It's about him telling Miles that things won't always go your way and he should be prepared to accept it when the time comes, and learn to step forward about it. That's the whole point of the Mayday, because Miles taught that to Peter.
Was Spot supposed to be more powerful during the second fight against him, or was he just more experienced using his powers by then? Because even before he activated the colider thingie and became an eldrich abomination, he was formidable enough to fight four versions of spidey at once.

Kaze ni Nare!
x4 Eh, I don't really care for him, but that's partly aesthetics (I just don't care for the punk aesthetic generally) and partly because he's basically just right and awesome from start to finish which means his only arc is well, being right and helping the other characters, which leaves him pretty flat for me.
On the broader Peter Parker point, I'll say 'We can't always save everyone,' is legitimately a good message, you will sometimes fail and that can/will have negative consequences, accepting that is part of life, but what's missing is the usually unsaid counterpoint to that for a superhero, 'We will always try to save everyone.' And that's what's lost here, in my view.
ETA: Yeah, there's clearly some sort of time dilation or something going on between universes, my take was that he'd gotten his spots back, gained a lot of experience and was finally reaching apotheosis when they caught him.

Find it a bit genius that while Miles does not want loss to define him being Spiderman, No Way Home tells MCU Peter that their losses define them to continue the theme.
