~Tropers/electricmastro Moving to Yack Fest because it's too general for the media subforum.
Macron's notesFreedom Force. I am a bit bummed that it wasn't more popular, with the third game getting shelved mid-development. FF was a lot of fun as an Affectionate Parody of Silver Age superhero tropes, while the use of expies instead of established superheroes from DC or Marvel allowed for greater freedom to mix up the story. I do wish that there had been more customization options for creating your own heroes, though.
Poor, mistreated Bloody Roar. I'll never forgive Konami for essentially murdering it. Really wish someone else would take the rights from their grubby hands and hire the original developers to make a reboot or new installment that ignores the trainwreck that was 4.
FC: SW-1445-0294-1719/PSN: TekkenGirl4Lyfe/Currently playing: Croc: Legend of the Gobbos HD- Klonoa - sure, we got several games, but it didn't last very long. Might have been able to capture a similar brand to that of Kirby if it had a chance.

Poor Yo Kai Watch. Yo-kai Watch 4 hasn't even gotten an English release yet (and I don't know if it will, since Level-5 shut down localization in 2020).

Oh, I believe in yesterdayBump
While not a franchise, I honestly wish that Incredibox was more well known among the wider public than it currently is. I could totally see an explosion in new players and Fan Works if some big YouTuber were to show off its music-making capabilities.
Currently Reading: N/AIt is a bit of a stretch, and is not actually a "franchise", but the Inkagames/Mazniac+Dark Dome games are quite popular, many Youtube videos about it are available, yet it only got one not-so-complete TV Tropes page (Saw Games, which is actually only a part of Inkagames), and it seems that no one I asked have any ideas what it is.
For those who don't know, it is a Peruvian indie point-and-click game studio that develop games, first on the web at Flash games. After the end of Adobe Flash, the developers began to make similar Mobile Games and change their name from Inkagames to Mazniac. Dark Dome is another related game series, but it has a different style and gameplay from Mazniac/Inkagames.

https://enigmatics.org/puzzles/These two games were my childhood. I really wish for a 3rd installment for the Switch, but I think that's never gonna happen.
"Great, now this gal named Dawn is stalking me and complaining about no Sinnoh Megas! It's getting on my nerves!" - TaunieRhythm Heaven!!!!! Give us RH for the switch! I don't care if it's just, like, a Megamix port or something, I need something, anything, to fill the hole in my heart.
I don't think they've completely forgotten about it because of the references in the new Wario Ware. Maybe that means they haven't abandoned it? (wishful thinking)
Inconsistently active.

Franchises that you figure would be big by now, but ultimately feel like they aren't for one reason or another. One example I think of is Bomberman. After lasting for so long and releasing as many games, it boggles me why the series doesn't get much more fanfare beyond the occasional passing mention.
