Uplifted: Era of Invasion Sign Ups and Interest

One day, the entire human race disappeared from planet Earth.

Not a soul knows the reason, but the entire human race disappeared from Earth - and in the wake of this disappearance, something began its work on the animals of Earth. Uplifting and empowering them into something more anthropomorphic, growing into intelligence and mechanical aptitude.

The new denizens of Earth began their work putting back together the pieces left behind by the absent humans - and even upgrading what was left behind. Helped by the fact that even as they became more advanced, many species retained and even enhanced the abilities they had in their time as plain animals.

Eighty years after the event, the world has become a vastly different place under the governance of those who became known as "The Uplifted". Predator and prey species coexist through use of synthesized food, the entire American continent is united under the Amerian Federation, and President Maximilien Lionsheart is preparing to go about signing a peace and cooperation agreement with European Alliance.

On the eve of the agreement, something is spotted in the depths of space - fast approaching Earth. At first, it is thought to be a meteor or some kind of comet or chunk of space debris from some Human Era satellite. But as it approached, a clearer picture was acquired:

An enormous mechanical, monstrous fortress of a space ship, writhing with strange green and black roots. The whole enormous structure on its way to Earth - its goals and nature entirely unknown. Even as the Amerian Space Corps attempted to make contact, all they received in return was an odd mechanical series of noises.

With no certainty about what in the world this space-faring structure is, the Amerian First Response Squad is sent for. Whatever comes next, they're...reasonably sure they're ready for it.

Technology Level: The Uplifted have access to Powered Armor, various specially treated swords, spears and halberds able to pierce through most conventional armor and shells, as well as various guns and rail cannons. On the medical front, there are Healing Beds able to reattach limbs and cure illnesses.

The Uplifted have been to the moon, and discussions were underway about making an attempt at Mars.

Computers-wise, the current crop of Uplifted-made computers are if anything a deal more advanced than our own as of now. Hologram-Chat is possible, and most computers and phones have an actual, advanced AI helper.

The larger metropolis cities have moving billboard images and floating hologram displays.

Lore: The Primal Energy Current

Something being investigated and experimented with is a sort of primal energy current that seems to flow through both the universe and most living things - imperceptible previously. Some Uplifted have naturally seemed to acclimate to it and are presently capable of small usages of this sort of magical force - though this will largely be something to be improved and developed throughout the roleplay.
