Shoehorn This Trope into This Index

Indexes, we all know 'em. But sometimes they're just so... restrictive, only allowing tropes that actually fit on them. It's time for us to break out of these limitations and go wild. But of course, we can't just put anything on these indexes — we need to explain ourselves first.

In this game, we'll all pick a trope and an index, and the next player will need to come up with a justification for why that trope "belongs" on that index.

(Yes, I know this is a silly thing to start with, but obviously you don't have to try and consider every trope... Just be creative lmao)

When movies like Harry Potter and the Philosopher's Stone, Die Hard and Batman Returns are considered Christmas films, any trope that appears within them suddenly becomes fair game.

Characters may use a robotic cat as a bug, which wouldn't necessarily go unnoticed.

You know, these unaging characters are basically ghosts.

Instantly Proven Wrong into Infernal Tropes

Instantly Proven Wrong involves a person's words being immediately followed by something related happening, as if in response. This also describes the meaning of the figure of speech "speak of the devil". The devil is infernal.

Put Perpetual Frowner in Afterlife Tropes.

In Hell, everyone would be frowning because they're damned souls.

You have to press the punch and kick buttons a lot to do combos, so they get repressed.

Leap and Fire into Eye Tropes.

The most important thing when doing a Leap and Fire is to look where you're aiming.

shoehorn Cross Attack into Cops and Detectives

Some cops are Christians, and the crucifix is a cross-shaped item associated with Christianity, so assuming their The Fundamentalist, they may beat criminals over the head with one.

When made into a Sadistic Game Show, it can become deadly.

God Save Us from the Queen! in Amazing Technicolor Index?

A famous example of that tropes is the Queen Of Heart, who is the ruler of a world full of colorful and surreal creatures. Since it is colorful, it fits the Index.
