Considering that it just got nominated for a Tezuka award, and that the absolutely brilliant musical adaptation finally premiered last month after a 3-year Covid delay...
Cesare - Il Creatore che ha distrutto is about Cesare Borgia when he was 16 and in school. Angelo da Canossa, a young Florentine student from a humble background, meets Cesare and his right-hand man Miguel da Corella. Despite being from different countries, they become friends, though Angelo never knows quite what Cesare is thinking. Meanwhile, Cesare is on a mission to win over (and bribe) enough cardinals to get his father elected pope. Scenery Porn and beautifully drawn history lectures ensue.
The musical is also pure beauty from beginning to end. A few preview videos are available.
