The world has ended, or rather it ended quite some time ago. More than a hundred years has passed since the collapse of human civilization into the chaos of this new age; as the world dies, humans simply roam and try to find some sense of safety amongst the wreckage.

But not all are so unfortunate, there exists one place in the world that could be considered a paradise in hell. The massive city is known as Xanadu, the last great capital of humanity. The city is kept running by the corruption of a powerful magical device known as the Holy Grail, which was designed as a tool to seek out the root of all things. Through a number of dark rituals, however, the Grail has been transformed into a tool to absorb and retain energy from the world around it, slowly draining the last drops of life from the world in order to fuel Xanadu and keep its people safe. Of course, the slow drain of the world itself isn’t enough to sate the Grail, so Xanadu sends forth Jaeger squads into the wastes, meant to capture and sacrifice those few remaining scavengers in order to feed their souls to the Grail. Aiding them are corrupted spirits of heroes of long forgotten ages, linked to the Grail’s new missions and attached to the Jaegers in their hunts. Most are without will, and those who retain anything close are even worse, actively committing acts of wanton slaughter for their own amusement.

And this would be the end of the story, a slow death as the people of Xanadu enjoyed the sun setting on the world from their walled, golden city. However, deep within the Grail remained one last system, a code buried so deep that no amount of tampering could truly change it. Drawing away from the city, the Grail sends forth seven seals to seven potential Masters. Along with a brand of three seals, before each magus a Servant is summoned, one of seven spirits yet uncorrupted by the Grail’s transformation. Imbued in each is a need to seek the Grail, not for a ‘wish’ but rather for the salvation of the world itself. The Grail calls to the Masters and their Servants to cut it free from its bonds so that a wish can be made on it, a wish that all people beg for in this chaotic world, a new chance.

The mission is clear, defeat the Jaegers and their Servants, invade Xanadu and capture the Grail, and finally call upon the Wish Granting vessel to recreate the world in the ideal image of the Master’s will.

I'm interested, though I'll have to make my sheet later. IK what Servant I'll play as but not the Master yet.

EDIT: Quick question, can more than one player play as a Servant of the same class? If not, then I call dibs on Berserker.

E is on par for an average human D is slightly above average C is like, gold winning Olympics B is superhuman A is beyond superhuman EX is undefined. Doesn't mean 'above A' just that there is no real way to calculate the ability

There are also + and -. These are conditional modifiers. A hero famous for slaying monsters would have a + after their strength, but only when fighting monsters or beings that ape monster designs. This hero died because of Y, so their skills take a - when facing Y

Servant

Class: Lancer

True Name: Taylor L. Klapötke

Alignment: Chaotic neutral

Armament:

War lance: This is a thin bladed war lance that is 7 feet long. The blade itself is shoulder height on her, and the rest of the weapon is handle. There is a guard right at the base of the blade that is circular in shape and made to stop her hand (as well as stopping enemies from sliding up her weapon). On the end of the handle is a small hole which allows her to attach thread through it to throw her weapon/keep track of it. This weapon is made to deal with armored opponents yet can harm fleshy ones as well.

Explosive hammer (think the Boom hammer from bloodborne, but with a hole on the other end of the handle opposite of the hammer side for thread attachment): A hammer that when it hits an enemy, an explosion comes from the hammer side. The top of the hammer is also a flamethrower and can launch explosives as well. The explosions can be used to launch herself where she wants to go. At the very bottom of the shaft is a small hole for attaching thread. She can use the recoil from the explosions to launch herself around. This is 6'5" in terms of length including the hammer portion. Attached to the other side of the hammer but above the boom mechanism, there is a spike like portion for attaching to walls and for hitting enemies alike. The loading mechanism is pullable via threads though.

Knives: Simple double edged throwing knives that are useful for utility and grappling purposes. Also can stab others of course. There is a hole on the end of the handle for attaching threads.

Description:

6'4", tall and built like a tank.

Wears a lab coat. Black long sleeve shirt, red vest. Black pants and brown boots. Short boyish haircut. Black hair and red eyes. Wears an upside down cross on a necklace and refuses to part with it. She's ambidextrous. Wears light gray gloves. Her clothing is reinforced due to her own silk being threaded into those (or made of it entirely). Important given the explosions and her fighting style.

Bio:

Her true personality has been lost to time, but what is known that her love of science borders on the insane. Almost mad scientist like, but with reason and good equipment. Yet she's still VERY well informed in regards to safety measures. Given what she worked with, this makes too much sense. With nerves of steel and absolute confidence in her own knowledge, this translated well to her field (and safety precautions like PPE). Unsurprisingly, she's really smart.

She was famous for her research on high nitrogen compounds which are known for violently exploding... spontaneously and without warning. Being one of the very few willing to do this made her the pioneer in the field. Her discoveries had their uses, although very few were willing to verify her results for obvious reasons. Taylor lead a group that specialized in high nitrogen compounds and had a surprising amount of people who wanted to join. And that is what history covered. The rest has been lost to time, but all variants of her story agree that no one else was as good as her when it came to her field. She is the only one who's records have withstood the test of time. Being from the old world, she knows about it herself.

Parameters

Strength: B

Endurance: A+

Agility: A

Mana: D

Luck: EX (Her luck is really really weird, no one knows what it is...)

Class Skills

  • Weaver's dance B

She is able to dance around the battle field with her weapons and threads, hitting opponents with her weapons as she passes by. This hits multiple opponents and entangles them in threads as well. Some fire damage is done via the explosive hammer as well and explosive damage in general. Her mobility in the battle field is incredibly high.

  • Magic resistance B+

Invalidates magic with three verses or less. Receives mostly no damage even against greater magecraft or Greater Rituals. Depending on the situation, even greater magecraft would be completely invalidated.

Personal Skills

  • Science! A+

Given what she did for a living, she knows a lot about inorganic science. This includes general knowledge in the field. Making stuff in a lab/mixing chemicals comes naturally to her. All of her scientific knowledge and experience is included in this. Has knowledge on old world science in general.

  • Weaver's knowledge B

Through time and legends, she has an association with the weavers. She has learned about them though an unknown means, but there are still gaps in her knowledge. She still hunts for the missing information on them, especially regarding how they vanished.

She knows how to control the odd threads that she produces. In addition, this has given her some street smarts and combat skills to aid her overall survival. Several other skills are covered in this to lesser degrees (magic included). She is able to get around with a grappling hook of her choice (lance, knives). However she did not learn enough to be a complete master... Basically all of her life's experience that is not science or religion related falls under this. Also sewing and making clothing was important to weavers as well. She is somehow able to store her stuff on herself somehow. Regardless of the size of said stuff.

  • Scholarly knowledge C+

She is fairly well informed on religion in general. From Christianity, to cults, she has overall knowledge on religions covers nearly everything religious, yet she is not fully well educated on one single religion. This includes knowing about artifacts and holy items and all things related to it.

Noble Phantasm(s): (What were they famous for?)

  • Lab explosions... again.

Anti Army, A+

She throws several homemade high yield explosives onto the field where her enemies are and lets the outcome occur naturally. Of course, she is very far away from her own explosions. This turns the landscape into a trap ridden zone.

This is a high damage AOE attack that hits all enemies in range. Enemies also suffer debuffs related to said explosions.

  • Explosive research

Support, A+

She creates various chemicals and hits the area enmass with those. This AOE attack will heal and buff allies while severely debuffing enemies. The chemical mixture selectively harms or heals depending on who the individual is.

  • Misc

She knows how to sew and make clothing. This is because her threads are reinforced spider silk. Yes, she has made clothes out of her own silk before and said silk is much tougher than normal clothing. Also it's infinite knives.

Her own magic power is best described as "barely there" and is limited to a mix of fire and air. It is enough to augment her physical attacks though.

Yes, she has sewing supplies on herself. Including needles and dyes. Used to make clothing in general.

  • Class: Assassin
  • True Name: Ishikawa Goemon
  • Alignment: Chaotic Good
  • Armament: An oversized smoking pipe

"Fear not, Master, for you now have the skills of the greatest of all shinobi on your side! Ahahaha!"

  • Bio: The gallant thief of Japan, renowned for stealing from nobles and scattering the coins to beggars. The most legendary of all the ninja. His birth name and true history is shrouded in mystery, befitting the man who comes from nowhere to strike down evil in the name of justice. For years, he evaded capture, frustrating the efforts of the authorities to catch him, until one fateful night he attempted to assassinate the warlord Toyotomi Hideyoshi. His motivation for doing so was known only to him - vengeance, some say, or perhaps he saw Hideyoshi as a tyrant - and in the end it led to his death. Caught and captured, he was boiled alive in a cauldron-shaped bath, which from then on became known as a Goemonburo in his honor. To the bitter end he laughed, holding his son Gobei above his head so the boy would not burn. Respecting the gallant ninja's bravery, Hideyoshi spared Gobei's life.

  • Parameters
    • Strength: D
    • Endurance: D+ (An increase is applied against heat-based attacks)
    • Agility: A
    • Mana: C
    • Luck: D

  • Class Skills
    • Presence Concealment: A
Capable of hiding one's presence entirely until he attacks. A fitting rank for a master ninja.

  • Personal Skills

    • Iga-Ryu: A
The ninjutsu of the Iga prefecture. A skill indicating high proficiency in combat, survival, and espionage. The most skilled ninja were even attributed with mystical powers - in truth, this was a form of magecraft practiced in the shadows. Goemon is capable of such feats as self-duplication, transformation, manipulating the elements (Earth, Water, Wind, Fire) and replacing himself with a log to avoid attacks.

  • Golden Rule (Theft): B
The ability to gather wealth. In Goemon's case, he naturally comes into possession of things that once belonged to others. A talent for larceny surpassing any modern human means Goemon and his master never have to fear running out of money.

  • Projectile (Valuables): B+
An unorthodox method of combat derived from Goemon's legend of returning wealth to the oppressed. In place of shuriken, Goemon throws golden coins, jewelry, precious gems and other baubles with sufficient force to kill a man. Despite not being intended as weapons, they make for an effective attack. The power of the projectile is increased proportional to its monetary value.

  • Noble Phantasm(s):

Zantetsuken
The Old Man's Forgotten Sword
Anti-Unit, Rank C

Concealed within Goemon's comically oversized pipe is the sword he stole from Momochi Sandayu. It is said to have been forged from a meteor, giving it a razor-sharp edge, but it has little legend of its own.

Rather than a blade of legend, it is the legend of a thief made into a blade. The true power of Zantetsuken is to 'steal' the legend of other weapons. By targeting another Servant's Noble Phantasm, Goemon can mimic its effects, though reduced in power compared to the original.

Goemonburo
Boiling Death Trap
Anti-Unit, Rank C

The cauldron bath in which Goemon was boiled to death. From that legend was born this technique. By marking a section of ground with a Bounded Field, that area is replaced with a concealed bowl of boiling water, hot enough to boil a human alive in seconds. Outwardly, however, there is no indication that it exists - even the heat cannot be detected. Only those with highly keen or mystical senses will notice a discrepancy.

When an enemy sets foot on the marked ground, Goemon cancels the illusion, causing them to suddenly drop into the boiling water. After which, a bomb is dropped in the bath as well. Reflecting the legend by which Goemon held his son above the water to spare the child from death, if the target is unable to keep the bomb out of the water, the entire bath will explode into a cloud of searing steam.

What is so amusing about this? Why do you take lives? How can you forget?

Servant

  • Class: Berserker
  • True Name: Zelda Fitzgerald
  • Alignment: Chaotic Neutral
  • Armament: N/A (She's basically a Dance Battler)
  • Picture: "The First American Flapper" (drawn by me)
  • Bio:
    • Born into the wealthy Sayre family in Alabama, Berserker was a rather feisty Southern Belle. While she was locally renowned for her beauty, she ruffled feathers with her mischief, with only her father's status keeping her from falling into social ruin. In 1918, at a country club dance, she encountered F. Scott Fitzgerald, who was a soldier serving in World War One. They hit it off right away and eventually got engaged. However, as F. Scott was rather poor, Berserker called it off as she wanted him to be able to support her preferred, lavish lifestyle. In 1920, F. Scott wrote his first novel, This Side of Paradise and it was an instant success; with the newfound money, F. Scott and Berserker married, bearing a sole daughter a year later. In early 1920's New York City, the couple went on to cause hijinks, becoming the enfant terribles of Jazz Age. They rode on top of taxis, caused mayhem in hotels and theaters and they were the life of the party where they danced and drank. Berserker in particular was set as an example for fellow Flappers, rebellious women who bobbed their hair and usually wore knee-length skirts, granting her the epithet of the "First American Flapper". To keep up with their lifestyle, F. Scott wrote stories but it wasn't enough to keep them in NYC so they moved to France in 1923.
    • In 1924, after an incident where Berserker was accused of having an affair with a French aviator, their marriage began to crumble. They got into heated arguments in both private and public while both deluged into alcoholism and hindered each other creatively. While F. Scott focused on his writing endeavors, Berserker took on several creative outlets such as painting, dancing and even writing as well. While F. Scott was rather discouraging towards her writing (yet that didn't stop him from using her words as early as that debut novel and publishing some of Berserker's work under his name), Berserker was heavily passionate for ballet and began extensively training for it in 1925. The passion became that of obsession and eventually, Berserker broke.
    • In 1930, she suffered from a mental breakdown and attempted suicide by overdosing on sleeping pills. Scott took her to Valmont Clinic in Switzerland where she was evaluated but they weren't able to make out what her condition was. She was then sent to Prangins, considered one of Europe's advanced psychiatric clinics at the time, yet she was roughly restrained against her will by the attendants there which worsened her symptoms. She was stuck in a foreign place that barely spoke English and even the few that were fluent in it weren't able to understand her well due to her Southern accent; at one point Berserker even attempted to escape but was restrained even further. Eventually, she was diagnosed with Schizophrenia, a diagnosis that modern historians and scholars debate its accuracy of to this day, and Berserker spent the last of her years in and out of mental institutions, never fully recovering. During that time, F. Scott moved to Hollywood to pursue a script writing career and had numerous affairs, even when Berserker was far away in a mental hospital and in 1940, he died from a heart attack. Eight years later, Berserker would meet an untimely end when the last hospital she was in, Highland Hospital, burned to the ground and she and eight other women perished. Only a single red slipper was left of her.
    • Yet, there is more. Due to the peculiar way Berserker was summoned, her Saint Graph has been mixed with three other Phantom Spirits. As a result, their influence has affected her appearance and skills but despite that, Zelda is firmly the dominant personality. These residing Spirits are:
      • Daisy Buchanan: Originating in F. Scott Fitzgerald's classic novel, The Great Gatsby, she's the long-sought love of the titular Gatsby, mainly inspired by Ginvera King with aspects of Zelda thrown in. A wealthy socialite married to the equally wealthy Tom Buchanan who regularly cheats on her, Daisy is a shallow, selfish woman who materistically seeks for more. She briefly loved Gatsby five years prior to the events of the novel but he was sent off to serve in World War I and she got married. When the two reunited, they had an affair that led to Gatsby and Tom getting into a heated fight at a hotel when the latter learned of said affair. When Gatsby and Daisy went home together, she was driving his luxurious car and ran over her husband's mistress, which killed her. While Gatsby was willing to take the blame for the hit-and-run, Daisy soon realized his true nature and no longer sought to run off with him. Notably, it is the Phantom Spirit that has the greatest influence on Berserker's Saint Graph.
      • Ginvera King: An American socialite, considered one of Chicago's "Big Four" during World War I, and the main inspiration for Daisy. She was F. Scott's first love but her family broke up the relationship, due to their widely contrasting social statuses. Even after Ginvera married a polo player and F. Scott married Zelda, he still wrote to Ginvera in hopes of rekindling their relationship. Notably, she wrote a story similar to The Great Gatsby where she's trapped in a loveless marriage with a wealthy man until she gets saved by F. Scott who was her true love. F. Scott kept that story until his death.
      • Alabama Beggs: The protagonist of Zelda's only published novel, Save Me The Waltz and essentially a fictionalized version of her. She marries the alcoholic David King (a stand-in for F. Scott) where they had quite a dysfunctional marriage. Alabama is hedonistic, grows further away from her family and like Zelda, becomes obsessed with ballet. Yet her hopes of becoming a prima ballerina went out of the window when a blister becomes infected from a pointe shoe, leading to blood poisoning and Alabama was no longer able to dance.
  • Parameters:
    • Strength: D
    • Endurance: D-
    • Agility: C+
    • Mana: C-
    • Luck: D--
  • Class Skills:
    • Madness Enchantment C-: A skill that ranks up all basic parameters except Luck and Mana.. Communication is very possible with Berserker as indicated by her charismatic, talkative personality. However she is quite mentally vulnerable and becomes difficult to control when she suffers from a mental breakdown.
    • Riding D: A skill denoting the ability to ride mounts and vehicles. However, Berserker can drive automobiles most efficiently, even though she tends to be reckless.
  • Personal Skills
    • Charisma (Flapper) B-: A skill consisting of the user's natural charm. As a codifier of the flapper archetype, Berserker has the talent to win people over to her side and encourages them to act wild.
    • Golden Rule (Hedonistic) C: A skill denoting the user's wealth. As Berserker and all three of the Phantom Spirits residing within her come from decently wealthy families, they are all well off. Yet as they are also hedonistic, Berserker has an instinctual desire for acquiring expensive objects but keeps it under control. The more expensive things she acquires, the more her mana production increases.
    • Rebellious Spirit B: A skill indicating the user's rebellious nature. Even before she was a full-on flapper from the days of the Jazz Age, Berserker was quite defiant. Any kind of restriction, whether it'll be rules or orders, have a weakened effect on her and she is compelled to disobey, with consequences that come as a result weakening as well. However, as long she is in a stable state of mind, she's willing to obey her Master.
  • Noble Phantasm(s):
    • Beautiful Little Fool (C--)
      • Anti-Unit (Range: 1-30; Target: 2)
      • A Noble Phantasm that represents the climax of The Great Gatsby where Daisy runs over and kills her husband's mistress, Gatsby takes the blame which leads to his death, and the Buchanans move to Chicago. Here, Berserker manifests a luxurious golden car straight out of the Roaring Twenties that Gatsby once owned and her Riding skill increases to Rank C as she gets behind the driver's wheel. There, Berserker can hone in on a target to run over and speed away once the deed is done (the hit-and-run is fatal to an average human, decently harms a Mage and its effectiveness on Servants vary). The person that isn't Berserker's Master who was the nearest to the Noble Phantasm (ideally sitting in the car's shotgun seat) will be accused of the hit-and-run while Berserker gets away scot free. Any others who witnessed the act will have their memories modified where they saw that scapegoat being in the driver's seat.
    • "Save Me the Waltz'' (B-)
      • Anti-Self (Range: N/A; Target: ~1)
      • Berserker's last resort, the Noble Phantasm loosely based on her novel and the mental instability surrounding her creative passions, particularly ballet. She dances endlessly as her parameters are boosted, Madness Enchantment is raised, and her body is set ablaze. The flames consume her through each step and they are able to spread with whoever she dances with in a fiery embrace. Once she finishes her dance, Berserker dies, leaving behind ash and a single burnt red slipper.

Master

  • Name: Ella Wyndfield
  • Appearance
    • Ella is a frail, thin girl standing at 4'10 feet tall and has a baby face. Her skin is quite pale and she wears a baggy sweater and pants. Her sweater is a dark gray and her pants are an even darker blue. She has long, messy black hair reaching around her bottom, fluffy bangs and big-rounded glasses that obscure her light sky-colored eyes.
    • Her Command Seals are placed on her right hand and take the shape of a heavily stylized heart with a blade-like object piercing through them.
    • There are dozens of scars all over her body (some more faded than others), though the most noticeable of them are a series of jagged cuts around her chest.
  • Age: 13
  • Gender: Female
  • Elemental Affinity: Water and Wind
  • Origin: Suffering
  • Magic Circuits:
    • Location: Torso and all four limbs.
    • Quantity: B
    • Quality: A-
  • Magecraft/Abilities:
    • Displacement Magic/Flash Air: The practice of replacing something with something else such as replacing a fork with a spoon. However, the main drawback is that the replacement will degrade with extensive use, so that fork will become a spork and eventually a messed up metallic utensil. Ella mainly uses this ability to create small shields to block attacks for herself and Berserker or shortcuts through walls and floors.
    • Healing Magecraft: A type of thaumaturgy based around healing injured people. Ella mainly uses this ability on Berserker but can heal others when prompted.
    • Runes: A type of thaumaturgy that originated in Scandinavia that consists of inscribed symbols, instantly brings mysteries to reality with the exact effects depending on the definition of those symbols. While it's possible to affect a target with runes within a distance, it tends to not be effective on Magi due to their resistance, thus for best results on them, the runes must be applied on their bodies (so Berserker will hold an enemy target in a chokehold so Ella can apply runes on their body). If these runes are used in combination, Bounded Fields (where a network of magic is created and spread over a base area) can be created. Ella only has access to modern runes.
      • Ehwaz: A stone of hardening, giving whatever they're applied to the toughness of tungsten steel.
      • Gandr: A basic Scandinavian curse that lowers the physical health of the target. The target must be within the user's field of vision as it's realized from their index figure. Ella uses a modified form of Gandr, called Immobilize, where alongside its usual effects, makes it difficult for the target to move flexibly.
      • Vitki: A supportive spell that can give whoever they're applied to enhanced awareness of their surroundings, being able to spot hard-to-miss details and dodge attacks easier.
      • Freyr: A specialized rune created with the purpose of trying to keep Berserker's mental state from deteriorating. Whenever Berserker gets quite agitated, the rune gives out a soothing aura that calms her down. However, it is essentially a bandaid as it can't stop Berserker from hitting the psychological deep end. It's more effective on Servants that aren't Berserkers or don't possess Mental Pollution and humans ironically enough. And with Berserker's encouragement, Ella has been using this rune on herself whenever she flashes back to her trauma.
  • Other Abilities: N/A
  • Mystic Codes/Magical Items:
    • Mystic Code: Cardiac Mantle - A magical energy-infused metal covering on her heart, it serves as support for her Magic Circuits, pumping out Mana and boosting the Circuits' output.
    • A blue bundle containing nothing but numerous modern runes.
  • Weapons/ Other Belongings:
    • A gray backpack
    • A box containing paper dolls that Berserker made for Ella.
  • Personality:
    • Ella is a very timid person distrusting of others and stays by Berserker's side, who often speaks for her instead. She is hesitant to be near anyone that isn't Berserker and particularly doesn't like physical touch which makes her squeamishly back off. When she does speak, it's done in a sheepish, quiet voice that'll occasionally stutter unless she's doing magecraft.
    • She's intelligent but is childish in nature. While she's capable of understanding complex topics, she has a simple vocabulary and gets frightened easily. She seeks out Berserker's comfort, which makes her Servant's mental snaps particularly distressing for Ella.
    • She has (undiagnosed) PTSD, meaning she'll get flashbacks and nightmares relating to her past trauma. When they occur, she becomes exceptionally anxious, gains an increased heart rate, sweats a lot and her muscles tense up. She seeks out the Freyr runes to perform on herself and latches onto Berserker to try gaining control of herself. A part of her is aware that there's (usually) no threat near her yet she is unable to feel safe despite struggling to control herself. Her triggers consist of needles, surgical instruments and intimidating older adults; they all kick in her fight-flight-freeze response where she'll typically pick flight as she desires to escape said trigger but she might freeze once in a while if it's bad enough. Berserker has picked up on these symptoms and triggers and will attempt to take Ella out of the situation. Ella wants to resolve these issues but it's very difficult to do so, even with Berserker's help.
    • In battle, Ella plays a supportive role towards Berserker, buffing and healing her while using Immobilize to debuff enemies to make them easier for Berserker to deal with. Berserker does all of the battling while Ella stays behind to perform her support role.
    • Ella and Berserker have a tight-knit, mother-daughter like bond. Ella is highly dependent on her Servant and clings unto her to the point that she can't sleep unless Berserker is by her side to keep guard. They tend to each other, with Ella being comfortable enough to be deeply personal with Berserker and they bond over their mental issues. However, said mental issues is what causes the dysfunctional aspects of their relationship as mentioned earlier, Ella gets very distressed when Berserker snaps due to mental stress and the opposite is true; Berserker gets agitated as she desperately tries calming an upset Ella. This leads to feedback loops of sorts where both are heavily stressed and without outside intervention, wore themselves out mentally. Regardless, Berserker willingly takes on her role as she sees her daughter, Scottie, in Ella.
  • Background (BIG TW for child abuse)
    • Ella was born outside of Xanadu and brought up in a community that settled in ruins from the old world. Her father, Lyson, was the head of the once prestigious Wyndfield family. Seeking to restore his family's glory, he and several accomplices cruelly experimented on his daughter. He forced her to withstand many torturous operations to improve her magical capabilities, including an operation where she had her chest cut up to put a metallic Mystic Code covering on her heart while she was barely sedated, so she was conscious and felt tremendous pain in the process. Ella's body and mind were heavily scarred from these experiences and she was unable to rebel, as even with her wondrous potential, she couldn't lay a scratch on her far more experienced father.
    • After passing down his Magic Crest to her when she turned 11, Lyson decided to make her summon a Servant she can command in order to make better use of her. He presented Ella numerous Catalysts originating from remarkable heroes of myth and history as she created a magic circle. While in the middle of her chant, the traumatic memories struck Ella painfully which led to her lashing out Flash Air at the Catalysts which messed up their effectiveness for the summoning. Lyson tried stepping in but it was too late as Ella's cries called out a Servant and her Command Seals appeared. It wasn't a Servant Lyson expected. It was one whose mental state and disarray was similar to that of Ella's; a Berserker whose Saint Graph was accompanied by Phantom Spirits. While he didn't immediately recognize the Servant, he knew it was a more modern one through her clothing and mannerisms. Knowing that modern Servants are much weaker than those ingrained in myth, Lyson scolded Ella for ruining the summoning and went in to hit her. Berserker stopped him, telling him not to harm her Master and casually threw him across the room. Lyson called out for Ella to order her Servant but she was in awe. No one has ever defended her from harm before. No one has shown her kindness before. She went over to Berserker's side who smiled at her and the former completed the pact to become the latter's Master.
    • Realizing that Ella will not hold Berserker back, Lyson uses Flash Air to escape, knowing that modern Magi will be disadvantaged towards Servants regardless of how recent they are. Ella and Berserker promptly leave the hellhole and travel around the old Earth. There, the two would get to know each other and form a deep bond. Two years later, they stumble onto the village of Fumar, subconsciously following the call of the Grail.
  • Wish: A world without extensive pain and suffering. One where people can live out happily and any problems they have can be solved easily.

  • Misc:
    • Berserker's dialogue will be gray while Ella's will be blue. Berserker also has a noticeable Southern accent.
    • Berserker also qualifies under the Rider (especially if Daisy Buchanan is dominant), Caster and Alter Ego classes.
    • Berserker likes a good smoke and alcohol. While she can manifest cigarettes, she can't create alcohol. She becomes ecstatic when finding any kind of alcohol.

  • Class: Avenger
  • True Name: Adam
  • Alignment: Neutral Good
  • Armament:
    • Leaves of An Ancient Tree: Adam wields an odd weapon in that the ever-growing leaves and wood of an ancient tree - the very Tree of Knowledge itself - forms into a sharp, shapeshifting weapon in his hand, interacting with his Kadmon Archive Personal Skill. Vanishingly rarely dispenses an apple, which can have auspicious effects on modern mortal Mages.

  • Description: Adam is the pristine first Human Being, born through an Act of God - created with a powerful, muscular body as a testament to the capabilities of the human form at its most athletic, gifted, and devoted. He has straw blond hair, very light brown eyes verging on amber, and a lightly tanned body. He dresses in a loincloth made from personally tanned leather, having given most of the leather to his wife to make sure she was comfortable.

  • Bio: Adam was the first Human Being in existence, according to the Christian Myth, existing at the dawn of Eden. He was matched with the First Woman, Eve, who was grown from his rib. Eve - when she was tricked and induced to take from the Tree of Knowledge - was excoriated by the Angels and God, and rather than watch this go on, Adam ate from the tree when Eve managed to present him with one last apple. Angered at how his wife was treated, and the statement on his mortal descendants bearing "original sin" from him, he argued and attempted to produce understanding the whole way until Eden vanished from his sight. His lifespan was abnormal - and throughout it, he fought Demons and Devils who sought the pair. Even with his exile from Eden however, Adam strove to always serve as an exemplar of virtues and the better aspects of humanity. He still however bore a resent toward the god that cast them out, and blamed them for something they wouldn't have any way of knowing about until after. Ultimately, he rested for the last time in the limbs of a great tree.

  • Parameters
    • Strength: A+
    • Endurance: B-
    • Agility: B
    • Mana: B
    • Luck: C

  • Class Skills
    • Avenger: Adam recuperates Mana while taking damage from his foes. The stronger the attack he receives the more Mana he in turn recovers.

  • Personal Skills

  • Personal Skill Kadmon Archive (A) lets him understand the Origin of Items, Objects and Spells. This gives him an ability to know in the moment how best to handle those things, and even observe enough to disrupt them. Accompanying this is keen observation.
  • Personal Skill The First Man (B) invokes the idea that Adam was the most pristinely created in God's Image. As all living things are, they spring from Adam as the first human. By first understanding and comprehending the nature of a Noble Phantasm, he can have the Tree of Knowledge Sprout grow an impression of it.
  • Personal Skill Son of Red Earth (B-) establishes a connection between Adam and the Earth under him. He receives less damage and heals faster while his feet are connected to the Earth.

  • Noble Phantasm(s):
    • God's Right Hand (A) Support: Adam utilizes the legend, traditions and mythology of God's Right Hand - epitomizing strength, resilience, dexterity and capability - enhancing all these in him. He is capable of utilizing the symbolism of the right hand as well in traditions, myth, miracles and functions. Casting out evil, bearing a great flaming sword, healing the sick, and so on.
    • The Tree of Knowledge Sprout (B) Anti Unit: The Tree of Knowledge's Leaves and Wood follow him, and form a weapon he can call upon. A shifting mass of leaves and wood, the wooden weapon shapeshifts and turns to what he needs as he utilizes the Kadmon Archive Personal Skill to act upon the Origins logged this way. He however needs time to utilize this.

  • Class: Rider
  • True Name: Gilgamesh
  • Alignment: Chaotic Good
  • Armaments: Might of Heroes, Voice of Heroes and their trusty sword. Might of Heroes is a large axe they wield with one hand, but the Voice of Heroes is their handmade breast plate. Their weapons do not have special properties, but their breast plate gives them extra protection.
  • Appearance: Gilgamesh, King of Uruk. Their appearance takes influence from Enkidu and the Bull of Heaven, one of the many beasts that they slew. It is the most well-known creature from the tale and affects their appearance as a Servant.
  • Personality: Gilgamesh is incredibly arrogant and haughty, often butting heads with authority or those whose think they're better than her. But she has enough humility to bend when necessary, or to those who have earned or deserve her respect. When she’s not being an ass, she can be joyful, cocky, boisterous, fun-loving, and full of herself, grabbing the bull by the horns and facing her problems head-on. When she isn't, she's sombre and reflective. She understands loss and sorrow, and knows the inevitability of death. Given a second chance at life, she’s determined to live to the fullest and inspire others to do the same, protecting those she sees as her subjects to keep her kingdom safe. As far as she's concerned, the whole world is her kingdom and she will do anything to protect it.
  • Bio: The first Hero. One third mortal and two thirds God, they were the king of Uruk. They ruled with strength and courage, but were equally haughty and cruel. The people were at their mercy and prayed to the Gods for deliverance. In response, the Gods created the bestial Enkidu to be his faithful companion. Enkidu was as strong as Gilgamesh, but his strength was matched with compassion and humility, traits Gilgamesh lacked. The two complimented each other, But after many adventures and hardships, Enkidu perished. Gilgamesh became afraid of death, but was forced to accept it. Humbled, they spent the rest of their days in Uruk, ruling fairly and justly in honor of their fallen friend.
  • Parameters:
    • Strength: A+
    • Endurance: A+
    • Agility: D
    • Mana: D
    • Luck: D
  • Class Skills:
    • Riding A+: As a Rider, Gilgamesh runs the God's Chariot, an airborne golden cart pulled along by the Bull of Heaven. The Bull is incredibly strong. It can pound the earth with its hooves and make the ground quake, can make holes in the earth with its breath. It's somewhat slow, but its strength makes up for its lack of speed. Gilgamesh can ride any vehicle thanks to her skill, but she prefers to stick with the Chariot.
    • 'Magic Resitance B: Gilgamesh can negate most magic spells with the Voice Of Heroes, but anything above B rank can hurt her.
  • Personal Skills:
    • Voice of Kings A+: As a legendary king, Gilgamesh has a commanding presence. Those with weak wills bow before her and are compelled to follow their commands. Even stronger wills tend to straighten up in her presence.
    • Two Thirds God A: Gilgamesh is one third mortal but two thirds God. Her divine heritage is reflected in her Strength and Endurance, but she has additional regenerative capabilities. She won't make a full recovery in the course of a duel, but she can live through hits that even her endurance can't stand.
    • Nature's Blessing C: Gilgamesh learned many things from Enkidu, but most prominent was a communion with nature. Gilgamesh can communicate with animals and plants and feels rejuvenated in their presence, though she can't control them directly.
  • Noble Phantasm(s):
    • Winds of Shamash, Anti-Unit, Rank C
      • When Gilgamesh battled the fearsome creature known as Humbaba, she called to the God of Wind for support. Shamash answered, battering Humbaba with eight separate gales and blinding their eyes. As a servant, Gilgamesh can call Shamash's winds on her own accord, assaulting them with gales and temporarily stealing their vision.
    • Bull of Heaven Unleashed, Anti-Unit, Rank A+:
      • The Bull that pulls Gilgamesh's chariot is strong, but it's a fraction of its full power. By tapping into her inner beast, she can merge with the Bull and unleash its true strength. The true Bull of Heaven is enormous. It's as large as several city blocks and all its powers as a steed are greatly increased. The trade-off is that it's uncontrollable. Once Gilgamesh becomes the bull, she's a raging beast. No better than a Berserker at their worst. Because of this, she only uses it as a last resort.

  • Name: Yasmin Khan
  • Appearance: Surviving. Stands at 5'4.
  • Age: 22
  • Gender: Female
  • Elemental Affinity: Wind
  • Origin: Unknown
  • Magic Circuits
    • Location: Chest
    • Quantity: D
    • Quality: D
  • Magecraft/Abilities:
    • Healing Magecraft: Healing Magecraft is the type of thaumaturgy involving recovering the flesh of injured people and of detoxification.
    • Jewel Magecraft: Jewel Magecraft is the type of thaumaturgy involving transferring magical energy into jewels to use as limited use Mystic Codes. Compared to other mediums, the most compatible storage space is jewels. It is said that they are able to act as "prisons that stop flow", easily accumulating and storing the thoughts of their owners. Among the jewels of the world, there are those that have spent years under the ground having contact with the spirits of nature and have been stained with their power, allowing them to act as a simplified type of Magic Crest when filled with energy. The downside of the storage medium is that they break upon the release of the energy, so they must be replaced with each use.
      • Emerald (3): Used to create gusts of wind, can be shaped into blades or whirlwinds.
      • Obsidian: Used to summon blinding silver lights coming from the sky.
      • Malachite: Uses malachite as an artificial mystic eye to see emotions.
  • Personality: Yasmin Khan is timid, awkward and clumsy. She often stumbles over herself, struggling to find the right words. She's spirited and determined if somewhat demure, lacking the confidence to step forward. She's somewhat indecisive, but possesses a good heart and sense of humility that keeps her from so much as hurting as a fly. Underneath her awkward exterior, she has a strong spirit. She can be stubborn and reckless if pushed, but her awkwardness wins out. Gilgamesh attempts to make that aspect of her more dominant, but hasn't been successful.
  • Background: Yasmin was the heir to an old mage family, one of the few that had some of their wealth and resources intact. Her ancestors and their servants settled in an abandoned laboratory underground, using what they had to make things more comfortable. Using the equipment on hand, they began conducting experiments to access the Root without the grail. It was dangerous and foolish, but they didn't have much to lose. Their descendants carried on their experiments, but their resources continued to dwindle. They attempted to teach Yasmin magecraft, but she didn't have much talent and they couldn't afford to give her a full education.
    • In the course of their research, they discovered the original tablet of Gilgamesh, lost in the disaster from 100 years ago. After additional experiments, they knew they had a Servant on their hands. They attempted to summon it, but something went wrong. The summoning was a success, but Yasmin's parents and everyone else didn't make it. As the sole survivor, she became Gilgamash's master by default. Alone and confused, Yasmin wasn't sure what to do. With nowhere to go, they travelled the world, helping out where they could. After a year of wandering, they made it to Fumar, following the call of the Grail.
  • Wish: Yasmin wants two things a world. She wants a world where everyone is happy and free. Where no-one loses their loved ones or faces the reality of death. But more than that, she wants a world of order. A world where everyone is watched over and cared for and no-one has to make any dreadful decisions. Gilgamesh doesn't agree with most of this, but she hopes she can convince her one day convince her.

Seems like you need additional Masters to tilt the balance back. Here's my input:

  • Name: Arthur Vauthry
  • Appearance: Most people don't see much of Arthur Vauthry beyond his thick cloth robe. It covers his figure and lends him the aura of a mysterious traveler and obscures all his face but his mouth. Without such artifice of obscurity he uses to disguise his form he looks actually startlingly attractive between his bright blonde hair and well-trained physique. He, just like every boy to claim the title of Inheritor, bears a stunning similarity to the male face of the Servant of the Old King, just as every girl Inheritor resembles the Old King's feminine face. Arthur can't remember whether he's always had that resemblance, but he's fine with how he looks.
  • Age: 29
  • Gender: Male
  • Elemental Affinity: Light
  • Origin: Recurrence
  • Magic Circuits
    • Location: Spine
    • Quantity: D
    • Quality: C
  • Magecraft/Abilities:
    • Only The Glorious Have Wings: The first Magecraft instilled each generation of the Inheritor is this odd biothaumaturgic masterpiece of magecraft and parasurgery. Normally hidden under Arthur's robe is a dull pair of oversized insect wings. When revealed and spread and fed with mana they become a shimmering, iridescent and supernaturally attention-grabbing display. However, they seem incapable of actual flight.
    • The Blade Will Ever Save The Queen: While the Inheritor is usually expected to let their Servant tackle fighting the various monsters that somehow end up inside Xanadu, this sword-summoning Magecraft is a good backup option that historically has been very well-received by the public. The blade drawn forth from within the user's soul is itself unknown, though speculation assigns it many different and conflicting names drawn from mythology.
    • The Manna Of Camelot's Tables: The least, but possibly most important, of the Inheritor's abilities is this Magecraft to form bodily mana reserves into a doughy lump that can be consumed by Servants, even if they are not his own Servant. This magecraft seems flawed, because it also causes his flesh to be equally as sustaining to mana-powered creatures.
  • Other Abilities:
    • Adequate swordsmanship skills
    • A wide assortment of mundane hand-crafts, mostly acts of carpentry though he's also learned how to sew and assist a toolsmith.
    • Cooking
  • Mystic Codes/ Magical Items:
  • Weapons/ Other Belongings:
    • A plain shortsword, well-used.
    • A sturdy leather backpack, embroidered with various simple motifs using scrap thread from various projects.
    • An iron pot containing a couple small plates, various cutlery and a culinary knife, to use as a mess kit.
    • A bedroll, technically. While this item has been made with basic cloth and hide, it was assembled using patterns for a pre-apocalypse sleeping bag.
  • Personality:
    • Arthur is a bright, sociable person even when dressed up like some manner of grim mysterious stranger. He likes to help people with their problems, no matter how small and always feels like a day has been fruitful if he's been able to make someone else have a better day than they would otherwise. He likes to learn new skills, though he finds it hard to sit and listen to instructions without the means to take notes or practice the lesson as it is taught.
    • When situations force him to think of home he is conflicted. Xanadu was a paradise, but he sees now how it only existed off the slow decay of the world. He wants to disassemble the system that allows it to be a parasite on the world, but is keenly cognizant that there are many people within it whose only crime was remaining in a safe and comfortable place they were already born into.
    • Arthur treats Servants like full people despite the common knowledge. This causes him to feel uneasy about the usual implied power dynamic and prefers to refer to Masters and Servants with a rotating selection of other terms.
  • Background: There is a recurring hero in the city of Xanadu known as the Inheritor, an heir of ancient Camelot who summons the old King to fight and prove themselves against the monsters that sneak into Xanadu and in adulthood lead the revels and make the last wish at the end of the world... If they don't die as a teenage and reincarnate, like every possible Inheritor in Xanadu's history. In truth, it is a piece of propaganda, the recurring tale of a hero rising and falling to be yet another distraction in the city of a million delights. Arthur Vauthry was 'divined' as the next Inheritor (or merely analyzed to have sufficient magical potential) at age six and taken in to be trained and imbued with the proper Magecraft to be a suitable teen hero to enrapture public attention. And yet at age twelve, right before the ritual that would summon and bind the heroic spirit of Artoria Pendragon as a Servant, Arthur escaped the city.
    • One of the tutors saw something in him that they could not bear be crushed in the wheels of the recurrence and smuggled him out. Arthur himself doesn't know what drove his savior to such a deed but he likes to speculate; on good days he assumes that his precocious and pure light drove the tutor to give him a chance to survive and be a hero for real, on more cynical days he assumes that the tutor wanted to see the prophecy brought to fruition and the end of all things to be hastened.
    • Regardless, Arthur has now spent more than half his life away from the city. In this time he has kept his Magecraft hidden and traveled the lands as a wandering hand to assist with odd jobs, harvest seasons and the occasional stint as a caravan guard. Most recently, his travels have brought him to Fumar amid... Unusual auspices. He's yet to perform the rites of summoning, but something about this moment feels like the time to try.
  • Wish: When asked, he mentions the usual things about halting the decay of the world and restoring the balance and maybe bringing back True Magic while we're at it. But deep down he feels that if the world can be repaired without a wish, then he'd much rather use his wish to find true mutual love from a gloried hero. He believes it to be a selfish desire, but hopes that all the selfless good he does in the world can buy him just a little selfishness.

It's clearly a case of backroom political albumizing.

Okay so I've looked over the current sign ups and the only one I have issue with is Avenger: Adam by Nick The Swing, he is just way to much, in terms of raw power output he works better as an antagonist force then on the heroes side unless you wanted to rewrite his power as sealed down to a much lower level until much later into the game. If you are good with that then I'm willing to say its good, but otherwise I can't really accept him.

As for the two players expressing interest please feel free to make sheets! There is still a bit more time before we get heavy into things, and if you would like to continue interacting with players in a quick and easy format a discord has been made for everyone to be a part of.

So, here's a question: If we apply to play as a Servant or Master individually, would a character of the opposing type be assigned to us? Or are we the equivalent of rogues?

Either is fine; just asking for clarity.

  • Name: Jeremiah 'Jungle Jim' Jones

  • Appearance: “They say to fear the old man in a profession where men die young, friendo.” 6’3.

  • Age: 50

  • Gender: Male

  • Elemental Affinity: Fire. More specifically, Cinders and Ash.

  • Origin: Stubbornness. It was his bitter stalemate with the WCC that caused his friends to abandon him and, if his theory is correct, caused the death of his wife.

  • Magic Circuits
    • Location: Spinal Column
    • Quantity: C
    • Quality: A

  • Magecraft/Abilities:
    • Cinder-Step: ''With a jolt, Jim reduces his body to ashes and freely moves about 10 ft in any direction including up. After the 10 feet dash, he rematerializes. Cannot be partially done. This skill is able to be used quickly enough to act as a sort of dodge, though if a strike connects before Jim has completely dissolved into ash it will cancel out.
    • Cinder-Shot: Almost exactly what it sounds like. When out of bullets, Jim can substitute them with cinders. These rounds will have far less penetration and stopping power, but they will explode on impact.
    • Flicker: Jim can produce flames the size of a lighter’s from his fingertips. These are useful for when he needs to quickly produce smoke and is the first step to the dancing flame.
      • Dancing Flame: After using Flicker, Jim can attempt to pass the small flame onto another person’s body. From here, the flame would take on a lid of its own, jumping from person to person until it is put out or fails to make contact with a flammable surface. The Dancing Flame leaves behind an incredibly quick-spreading blaze. Mostly this sticks to one’s clothing, though it can cause burns if not dealt with quickly. Y’know, cause it’s fire.
    • Smoke-Screen: With a burst of flame, Jim produces a large quantity of smoke in the air. This serves two purposes. First, and most obviously, it limits visibility of anyone around him. Second, it provides ammunition for his Smoke Spark ability.
    • Smoke-Spark: He lights the smoke on fire. Yeah that’s basically all this one is. He makes a big smoke cloud and then blows it up. It has a range of about 30 ft.

  • Other Abilities:
    • Gunplay: Jim is a master marksman. He’s honed his skills through years of adventure, but age has begun to slow him down.
    • Horseback Riding: No one ever said Jungle Jim wasn’t the best goddamn rider in the west. He can outride 10 elite-level men on horseback. Age, though, age has made both him and his horse road-weary.
    • Survival: He’s got a knack for roughing it, that Jeremiah. He can hunt, make a tent, construct basic tools, Y’know survivalist stuff.

  • Mystic Codes/ Magical Items: He carries around a shell casing that he claims is magic. In truth, this is just the casing of the bullet that killed his son.

  • Weapons/ Other Belongings:
    • With and Smesson Model 777 Revolver: Originally gaining it as a birthday present when he turned 13 years old, this 7-shot revolver has been with Jeremiah for most of his life. It’s heavily customized, but at the end of the day it’s just a well-maintained handgun, nothing too special.
    • Sharpshooter’s Rifle: Now this is something special. With an octagonal barrel, custom-fitted iron sights and a riveted grip, this gun is the absolute top of the line that you can get outside of Xanadu. It’s capable of firing at distances of over 2 football fields, though the fall off is considerable after that.

  • Personality:

  • Background: A former lawman, Jim now works as a cowboy working an illegal cattle drive. His work placed him in direct opposition of the Westin Cattle Company, but that was on purpose. His newest route just so happened to cut through Fumar.

  • Wish: A simpler time. One long gone. One where men would make good on their own word. Where every other person wasn’t a scoundrel, yellow-belly or some ungodly combination of the two. Where people looked out for each other, offered sugar when asked and didn’t pull their gun at the first opportunity. Where good natured folks were free to love lawful lives, and bad men were free to live unlawful lives until it caught up with them. A simpler time, indeed.

Master C.S.

Name: Alex Wisemen

Appearance: Priest

Age: 34

Gender: Male

Elemental Affinity: Fire

Origin: Faith

Magic Circuits

  • Location: Left arm
  • Quantity: C
  • Quality: B

Magecraft/Abilities: As a former priest and exorcist of the Church Alex focused mainly on uses various Mystic Codes to do his fighting for him, thus while he can perform some small amount of tricks such as reinforcement magic and some minor magecraft skills he is nothing more then one who dabbled into that world.

Other Abilities:

  • Martial Arts Mastery: Combining his self reinforcement magecraft with a number of different styles Alex can put up a decent fight against foes more dangerous to himself for a short time.

  • Mystic Eyes of Draining (Sealed): An ability handed down through his family, his own eyes were removed as a teenager and replaced by his own fathers. They remain in a sealed state, but once activated he can drain the vitality and lifeforce of others by looking into their eyes with his own. However the longer they are active without being used the more they sap away the users own lifeforce.

Mystic Codes/ Magical Items:

  • Ashlock- A unique weapon granted to him by the Church when he was a former agent, typically disguised as a pair of ordinary shoes. Once activated they sport a number of blades that are potent anti-spiritual weapons.

  • Black Keys- Small bladed weapons disguised as black cylinders, able to be used to purify and destroy evil.

  • Scripture of Saint Patrick- One of the few items he took with him after leaving the Church, once activated it will purify a given area depending on how much energy is fed into it.

  • Flask of Transmutation- A seemingly ordinary silver flask that converts all water put into it into aged whiskey.

Weapons/ Other Belongings: A golden cross cigarette holder, King James Bible

Personality: An utter failure of a priest without a holy bone in his body, Alex spends most of his time finding what little pleasure is left in an otherwise doomed world. Paradoxically he is also the type to help others and give away his time without more then a groan otherwise. He is a nihilist who nonetheless wants to continue living.

Background: When the world started to fall the Church attempted everything in its limited modern power to hold things together, but with the rise of Xanadu the last of their power was either absorbed by the last holding place of humanity or they were destroyed by their agents. Before the final battle Alex decided to leave, having no wish to die for a cause he had long ago given up. Since these were the end of days he only wanted to enjoy a slow oblivion while continuing to observe things. That being said he hates to see others trampled upon, and before becoming a master he often tried to get ahead of Jaeger's and evacuate the settlements they aimed to destroy.

Wish: He doesn't have one at the moment, simply wanting to survive to see 'tomorrow'

Servant C.S.

Class: Avenger (Psuedo)

True Name: Lu Bu Fengxian, General That Pacifies The East

Alignment: Chaotic Neutral

Armaments

  • Sky Piercer: A Chinese polearm associated with the legend himself. The weapon itself isn't very notable and was actually made during the Northern Song dynasty, a time when Lu Bu was not active. However, Romance of the Three Kingdoms (as well as various pre-Xanadu gaming media) places it into his hands and doesn't let go. The weapon actually has multiple forms when manifested as the God Force, but these are restricted both to Lu Bu's Noble Phantasm and his inherent class. Perhaps in response to the Xanadu setting's apocalyptic aesthetic, the Sky Piercer has something of a makeshift, rusted appearance.

Description

Lu Bu is a mountain of a man clad in Chinese medieval armor (He himself is also Chinese). He immediately stands out thanks to his dual-feather helmet, which has been likened to a cockroach's head. Under the armor is a muscular man with long hair and rather intense eyebrows.

Bio

Lu Bu Fengxian was a general that was active during China's Three Kingdoms Period famed for his skill in archery and horseback. He stopped a battle between two generals before it started by firing an impossible shot at the curve of his own halberd. He tamed the notorious steed Red Hare and jumped a 30-meter moat. Twice did he betray rulers he aligned himself with and twice did he pay the price of shame and retaliation; Ding Yuan found himself prey to the bloodthirsty general's ambitions whilst the crazed, obsessive love for Diao Chan was the dagger that guided Lu Bu's hand against Dong Zhuo. The General of Wei Cao Cao eventually cornered the demonic warrior (thanks to what's implied to be a betrayal by Lu Bu's strategist Chen Gong, tired of his lord's incompetence) and, when dissatisfied with presented promises of sweet nothings, sentenced Lu Bu to execution.

On the outskirts of Xanadu, a settlement called "The Reins" found itself under attack by scavengers seeking their supplies; maybe it was Jaegers, maybe desperate survivors. Nobody knew for sure. It was during this tragedy that the Grail found a worthy candidate in one Grant Heimos, a middling-yet-hardy mage that served as the village leader. However, fate and the Grail clashed that day – and the Grail lost. The settlement was caught by surprise and the ritual that would bond Heimos to the spirit of Lu Bu was prematurely disrupted. Grant Heimos' life ended before it could truly begin, yet his hatred of Xanadu and all it stood for; its opulence in the face of the end of all...that survived. As he was fading away, Lu Bu could feel the resentment. It ached for satisfaction; validation for a life cut short and the embrace of impending change. The General of Repetition welcomed it like a brother-in-arms. The cocktail of greedy ambition and desperate vengeance fusing with the corpse of Heimos to unleash...a monster. Those that assaulted The Reins would coat it like decorations by the time Lu Bu was done. But Lu Bu's gaze lie northward. He knew he needed the Holy Grail...to save the world, supposedly. But this wasn't a world. It was just a battlefield. And there was no mightier general than Lu Bu Fengxian.

Parameters

Strength: B+ (He does a little better against enemies that identify themselves as people of authority, such as lords or rulers.)

Endurance: B

Agility: B

Mana: D

Luck: E- (Historians ping-pong back-and-forth whether he was good to his men or a distrusting brute, but it's universally acknowledged that he was a buffoon when it came to leadership. If he's ever put in a leadership position, the very cosmos itself will align to ensure he fails.)

Class Skills

  • Avenger (Skill): B+. The skill of the Avenger class that allows the gathering of hatred and resentment into oneself for power, manifested as a generation of Mana when damaged. Lu Bu's inherent need for conquest and combat lends itself rather naturally to feelings of hostility and resentment; particularly from authority figures and those in titled roles. This skill is a side-effect of the circumstances that brought Lu Bu into being as a Servant rather than a skill in-full, thus it's of a lower rank than expected.

  • Magic Resistance: D+. The class container intended for Lu Bu by the Grail was Lancer, but the tragic circumstances behind his summoning has diminished this greatly. While Magecraft was not in wide use during the Three Kingdoms Period, it is said that Zhuge Liang, a Strategist of the time, could control the flow of battle by praying to the gods to affect the weather. This rumored ability is believed to have been the driving force that won the Shu Kingdom the Battle of Chi Bi. This remaining cultural belief in the supernatural grants Lu Bu the ability to cancel spells of D Rank or lower, with advantage against Chinese sorcery.

  • Riding: C. Lu Bu's legend almost always takes note of his ability to tame and ride the monstrous steed Red Hare, who answers solely to him; bucking and thrashing against all others that dare approach it. It's said that Lu Bu and Red Hare were so in-sync that they jumped a 30-meter wide moat. This translates into an innate ability to tame basic animals, particularly horses. Ironically, Lu Bu's class container(s) weaken(s) one of his known strengths considerably – limiting him solely to mount-animals and vehicles powered by them. Anything more advanced is beyond him.

Personal Skills

  • Valor: A+. The ability to diminish or render ineffective attempts to intimidate, influence or mentally compromise. Lu Bu is notoriously stubborn; a trait warped further by pop culture. The Avenger class is already driven by stubborn dedication to hatred and vengeance, resulting in a sharp increase in rank. It would theoretically counteract the Charisma skill.

  • Vandalize Aura: B. Lu Bu is rumored as being capricious and quick to betray, a trait that folklore and pre-Xanadu pop culture flanderized into a compulsion. When his emotions reach a fever pitch in combat, Lu Bu generates a "fear radius" that stokes feelings of panic and dread within enemies (and allies) immediately around him; feelings that stem from the inherent volatility of a wild card. This skill feeds into his inherent nature as an Avenger and is stronger when engaging multiple opponents and less effective against a single foe.

  • Ruthless Warrior Of The Turbulent Times: A. A skill acknowledging Lu Bu's fame as a notorious warrior of the Three Kingdoms Period; a codifier of his strength and resilience as a fighter. This skill is what grants Lu Bu his strength and power in a dying world.

Noble Phantasm(s):

God Force (Anti-Unit/Anti-Army/Anti-Fortress): Rank A

God Force: The Five Soldiers Of The War God is the True Name of the Fangtian Huaji (also known as the Sky Piercer), the primary weapon and Noble Phantasm of Lu Bu.

The God Force was a gadget created by Chen Gong, a military advisor, who thought it up to aid Lu Bu during numerous dangerous predicaments resulting from each time he betrayed a lord. Chen Gong saw a War God in LU Bu's strength and form, projecting on him the image of China's oldest God of War Chi You (said to be the inventor of the war axe, shield and bow & arrow) that held a different weapon in each of his six arms. The result born from this idea was an artificial, multi-mode Noble Phantasm superweapon that had six forms to let the many martial techniques of LU Bu bloom as he pleased to take advantage of his opponent's weaknesses. The God Force is essentially six Servants' worth of Noble Phantasms in a single item; though saying Lu Bu actually has that much power is an exaggeration.

The God Force has (in theory) six modes: Slash, Thrust/Halberd, Blunt Strike, Sweep, Parry and Shoot/Cannon. Lu Bu's intended class container of Lancer seals the Shoot, Slash and Blunt Modes; which the forced switch to Avenger does not liberate him from. This only leaves him access to the other three. Mind, these are not three different Phantasms; merely different methods of launching one.

  • Thrust: A powerful, guided thrust of the Sky Piercer that can impale a target to immobilize them, or even pierce a line of foes.

  • Sweep: A savage-yet-graceful sweep of the Sky Piercer's moon-shaped side-blade that can knock aside a row of enemies.

  • Parry: A mode for deflecting physical attacks before counterattacking with one's own.

Servant

  • Class: Foreigner
  • True Name: Howard Philips Lovecraft
  • Alignment: Neutral Good
  • Armament: Magecraft, the Necronomicon
  • Appearance: Anime H.P. Lovecraft is real and can be racist to you
  • Bio: The author who created the modern pantheon is called ‘the Cthulhu Mythos.’ Howard Philips Lovecraft is often credited as the father of the Cosmic Horror genre, though he was not the first to write about it. The setting and stories Lovecraft wrote lived on long after his death, with countless authors adopting parts of the setting once it became free to use, cementing his works as modern classics.

Of course, that’s not all there is to Foreigner’s legend, for though some of the facts about them may be distorted, the Outer Gods that H.P. Lovecraft and others wrote about are very ‘’very‘’ real.

Early in his career as a writer, Lovecraft would come across the Book of Thoth. The tome contained prophecies of the future and descriptions of formless, nameless gods from beyond the world. Lovecraft was disturbed by the contents of the book, but could not look away.

Later that night, Lovecraft’s dreams would be visited by the Outer Gods. In these dreams, the Outer Gods showed him their forms and teach him their magics, and in exchange, he would give them and their kind names.

Lovecraft, believing the dream to be nothing more than it was, did just that. Cthulhu, Nyarlathotep, Shub-Niggurath, Yog-Sothoth.

And, of course, Azathoth.

Lovecraft would go on to write of the beings from that dream and the names he gave them, creating the ‘Cthulhu Mythos.’ Lovecraft lived his life in blissful ignorance, perfectly unaware of the consequences of what he had done.

For though the Outer Gods are powerful, they lacked forms to interact with the World. The Authority of their King allowed them to touch the dreams of those who’ve read the Book of Thoth, but not much more than that.

By giving them names, Lovecraft had granted the Outer Gods a form to manifest in the World. A foothold in the Common Sense of Man from which they can exert their power throughout all of space and time.

Parameters

  • Strength D
  • Endurance D
  • Agility D
  • Mana A+
  • Luck A
  • Noble Phantasm: EX

Class Skills

  • Entity of the Outer Realm (B)

A skill that represents one's connection to the Outer Gods. The touch of Azathoth changed Foreigner forever. Should the connection be reforged, he shall be the Blind Idiot God's conduit to Earth. Foreigner will do whatever he can to avoid such a thing, but it remains a possibility nonetheless. Foreigner can access Azathoth's Authority of Dreams, allowing him to create powerful illusions that border on reality warping and to interact with others' dreams and delusions in various ways. With enough mana, Foreigner could cast illusions that fool the World itself, allowing him to create 'something' out of 'nothing.' Though it wouldn't take long for the World realize it's being tricked and revert the change.

As one who houses the Demon Sultan Azathoth, Lovecraft was supposed to have this Skill at EX rank. However, Lovecraft suppresses this trait, reducing it to B-rank. As an Authority, Magic Resistance cannot resist this Skill, but Skills that shield against Mental Interference like Mental Pollution can.

  • Divinity (C+)

Lovecraft's connection to Azathoth has granted him a low level of Divinity. Divinity reduces purge defense against Foreigner’s attacks in proportion to its rank. This can break through defensive Skills like Protection of the Faith and Enlightenment of the Sacred Fig.

Personal Skills

  • Dreams of the Demon Sultan (B+)

A personal skill belonging to those who’ve seen the truth of the cosmos: That all of existence is but a dream of the slumbering Azathoth. Existence is, therefore, futile, as it will all end once the Blind Idiot God awakens. It's a truth that Foreigner has long come to accept. Foreigner's Parameters are visible to all, as he sees no purpose in concealing them. Conversely, the Parameters, Skills, and Noble Phantasms of all other Servants are visible to Foreigner and his Master.

Additionally, this Skill allows Foreigner to automatically pierce through illusion Magecraft and information concealment Skills like Presence Concealment, Information Erasure, and Uncrowned Arms Mastery of B-rank or lower. A-rank concealment skills require a Luck check to pierce.

  • Magecraft (Eldritch) (A++)

A form of Thaumaturgy passed down by the Outer Gods to their heralds and followers. Of all of Azathoth's 'gifts' Foreigner resists this one least of all, for it grants him measures against the forces of the Outer Gods. This alien form of Magecraft is resistant to magic-nullifying abilities and can somewhat bypass Magic Resistance, treating such opposing Skills as one Rank lower than they should be.

  • The Book of Thoth (False) (C)

The knowledge of the gods is not meant for mortals to possess, and yet the Book of Thoth fell to Foreigners' hands all the same. Having relinquished possession of the book itself, the Skill represents Foreigner's memory of the book of destiny. With a successful Luck check, Foreigner can gain the effects of Eye of the Mind (True), Eye of the Mind (False), and Clairvoyance at C rank for ten minutes. Enemy Servants can make a luck check to resist the effects of this Skill, while Servants with Luck higher than Foreigner are outright immune to it.

  • Weak Constitution (-)

Weakness of one's body because of an illness. During his lifetime, Foreigner suffered from malnutrition and intestinal cancer, causing this Skill to reflect that by making Foreigner's body physically thin and weak. However, when summoned as a Foreigner, this weakness is absent due to Divinity, though his appearance remains the same.

Noble Phantasm

Necronomicon - That Is Not Dead Which Can Eternal Lie (A+)

Anti-Army

The crystalization of Foreigner's legend as the father of Cosmic Horror and the culmination of all knowledge Foreigner gained from connecting with the Outer Gods. This Noble Phantasm manifests as a grimoire bound in the flesh and inked in the blood of beings not of this Earth. Even without a True Name invocation, contact with the Book of the Dead strengthens the power of the Magecraft (Eldritch) Skill.

The Necronomicon also possesses a function similar to Prelati's Spellbook, it can summon various horrors and minions of the Outer Gods autonomously, using its own inexhaustible Mana Core to fuel these familiars and anchor them to the world. These familiars can be summoned by the book nonstop, allowing Foreigner to summon armies of horrors to do his bidding. The familiars are reliant on the Necronomicon's mana to anchor them to the world. The slightest interruption in that flow will send them screaming back to the Outer Gods' domain.

The horrors the book can summon varies from the sea demons that Caster Bluebeard summons, the ferocious Hounds of Tindalos, to even the Nightgaunts that haunt the Dreamlands.

Necronomicon - And With Strange Aeons Even Death May Die (EX)

Anti-Unit

With a True Name invocation, the Necronomicon unveils its true purpose: As a way to summon aspects and avatars of the Outer Gods to the Earth. If he was not a Foreigner already, the existence of this Noble Phantasm would be enough to qualify him as a Threat to Humanity. There is no circumstance that can convince Foreigner to use this Noble Phantasm.

As a side note, it is theoretically possible for Foreigner to summon other Foreigner Class servants to his side. Such summoned Foreigners would not be fueled by the Necronomicon's Mana Core as with lesser familiars, and must instead make a contract with Foreigner's master. Foreigner himself has no control over other Foreigner Servants.

Master

Name: Aaron and Alicia Lestair

Appearance: The twins Lestair.

Age: 14 (Aaron; Alicia)

Gender: Male (Aaron), Female (Alicia)

Elemental Affinity: Wind, Water, and Void (Aaron), Earth, Fire, and Void (Alicia)

Origin: Dream (Aaron), Aspiration (Alicia)

Magic Circuits:

  • Location: Right Arm (Aaron), Left Arm (Alicia)
  • Quantity: D (Aaron; Alicia)
  • Quality: D (Aaron; Alicia)

Magecraft/Abilities: The foundational techniques of Atlas-style alchemy are Memory Partition and Thought Acceleration. Both twins are capable of using both techniques, though Aaron is better at Memory Partition and Alicia is better at Thought Acceleration.

Other Abilities: Aaron and Alicia are geniuses even by Atlas' standard, though their young age and lack of experience hold them back. Still, they're more than capable of coming up with effective plans and strategies that would bring them closer to their victory.

The Mages of Atlas don't fight if they don't see a way to win.

Mystic Codes/ Magical Items: The twins have done studies on Logos React; A Pseudo-Spiriton Computer capable of simulating all of humanity and one of Atlas Institutes' Seven Superweapons. The Twins Lestair have created more compact derivatives for their personal use.

These derivatives are called Logos React Lestair, the small gems they wear on their neck and wrists that contain copies of their minds. A few dozen in each. All copies of Logos React Lestair are synchronized to the twins' minds, allowing them to accelerate their thought processes by several orders of magnitude, communicate with one another telepathically, and even 'backup' their memories should anything happen to them.

Logos React Lestair's synchronization is the reason why the twins count as a single master. They share the burden of fueling their Servant to make up for their average magic circuits.

Weapons/ Other Belongings: The twins often carry large bags with them everywhere, containing both supplies for their journey and components they need to create more Mystic Codes.

Personality: Aaron is pretty chill for a kid, but hides a depressive side. Alicia is loud and easy to anger, but always holds hope in her heart. Neither twin knows what they would do without each other.

Background: Mages who came down from the Atlas Institute. The alchemists of Atlas are dedicated to the salvation of humanity and to preventing the end of the world. However, as there are so many possible ways that the world could end, each Atlas mage ends up dealing with their pet end-of-the-world theory on their own. The current state of affairs was predicted by Alicia and Aaron's grandparents, while their parents had died fighting against Xanadu in order to fix this whole mess.

With their parents dead, it falls to Aaron and Alicia to fix the world.

Wish: To put the world out of its misery (Aaron); To restore the World to what it once was (Alicia);

Servant C.S.

Class: Alter Ego

True Name: Kiyohime (Halis)

Alignment: True Neutral

Armament: Flame-invoking paper fan, flame-conjured claws (only when using Noble Phantasm)

Appearance: Similar to her usual self, though with green eyes/hair instead of her normal Berserker form's colorscheme. Also wears glasses. Partly influenced by both the host and the actual Servant.

Bio: The tragic story between Kiyohime and Anchin the monk is fairly well-known at this point, as is her normal manifestation as a Berserker. However, this is not a typical version of Kiyohime. This was a human, a complete non-mage in any respect, who desperate for survival was willing to do anything to avoid dying... even if it meant losing her humanity in the process. Thus, she was granted the form of a Servant by the Grail, with one stipulation: This was her wish, and hers alone.

Personality: Due to the abnormal circumstances surrounding this particular Servant, the personalities of the human who longed for survival and the girl who burned her love inside a bell have "fused", for lack of a better term. Though they do exist as seperate entities mentally, the human inside often loses control to the Servant when certain matters are brought up. It's immediately obvious when this happens, since their demeanor will change from skittish, nervous and even apologetic to cold, yet oddly caring. Lying about something in particular will always force the Servant half to the forefront, her Berserker tendancies still not in check even in a different class.

Parameters:

Strength: E

Endurance: E

Agility: C

Mana: D

Luck: D

Class Skills

Madness Enhancement (C)

This skill has been reduced in potency due to both the host and the alternate class. She can briefly bring it back up to EX-rank with her Noble Phantasm, but due to the host's unwillingness, such a thing would only happen in a desperate situation.

Independent Action (EX)

As long as she isn't actively engaged in combat for excessive periods of time, she can remain manifested of her own volition indefinitely due to her host tying her to the physical plane. However, this skill drops ranks to E- if she's using her Noble Phantasm, due to the sheer mana consumption of it, so it can only be safely used with a Master in tow.

Personal Skills

Shapeshift (D)

Due to having a human vessel as a base, the parameter for this skill has lowered by a rank. She can only gain some of the features of a low-ranking dragon through this skill, but is still always considered as such for skills and Noble Phantasms that target dragons.

Mana Burst (Flame) (C)

Briefly increases the intensity of her conjured flames to the point where even metal will melt, but is mana-inefficient and can only be safely used in short bursts as a result. This skill also automatically activates when using her Noble Phantasm, leading to its mana consumption being much higher than expected.

Self-Preservation (B-)

Due to the influence of the host, this skill completely replaces "Stalking". No matter what happens, no matter who she meets or where she goes, survival will always take priority. The only thing that would override this is "Anchin" being in danger, at which point it deactivates until the danger has passed.

Noble Phantasm(s):

Transforming, Heart-Breaking Meditation (EX)

Anti-Unit (Self)

Invoking the full power of her legend, the Alter Ego becomes akin to a flame-eating serpent. Due to her Shapeshift having a lowered parameter, though, she instead gains a flaming overlay of various draconic features, including claws, wings and the ability to breathe intense, blue flames, even stronger than with her Mana Burst (Flame) skill active on its own. However, this comes at the cost of both her sanity and her mana efficiency, her only thoughts being to destroy liars and those who would threaten her or "Anchin" at any cost. The host, as a result, is more or less unwilling to utilize this Noble Phantasm under almost any circumstance, doubly so since it involves fully surrendering control to the Servant until it ends.

Wish: To live without worry of death, to be able to enjoy life as it is and shall continue to be.

Are there enough Masters?

Master:

Name: Danso Lotskra

Appearance: https://static.tvtropes.org/pmwiki/pub/images/2d759c4e_ce96_4821_a216_d2cfd8fe6d4b_width512&height768.jpg

Age: 23

Gender: Male

Elemental Affinity: Void

Origin: Reflection

Magic Circuits

Location: Torso

Quantity: C

Quality: B

Magecraft/Abilities:

Daemon Healing - A perversion of normal healing magecraft that, though more powerful than regular healing magic, forces Danso to relive the pain that the person felt, even with his Pain Negation. He usually uses this ability on himself to keep himself standing, but his Servant is a good target as well.

Reflection of Pain - His main ability. Whenever Danso is inflicted with attack or any debuff, his opponent is forced to take it as well.

Pain Negation - Danso can shut off his pain receptors in order to be able to focus on keeping up his ability.

Reinforcement - Danso can reinforce physical objects or living things he touches, making them more resistant to harm.

Other Abilities: Danso is a great physical combatant fluent in fighting without other weapons. He is also physically tough and strong, acting as a pack mule for other travelers is an option.

Mystic Codes/ Magical Items: His Mystic Code is False Paradise, which heals any wounds, but at a slow rate, even slower for important wounds like artery damage or organ/limb loss.

Weapons/ Other Belongings: Danso has brass knuckles that he can enchant with ease to be able to hit enhanced creatures.

Personality: Danso has gone through a lot, to say the least. That makes it all the more surprising that he seems sane, even quipping and adding sarcasm. However, his mind is somewhat broken, and you can find him arguing with the voice in his head or suddenly mood swinging. His mask of sanity makes him seem like a pretty jolly and kind guy, if a bit creepy and violent.

Background: Danso has had his entire life on the run from Jaegers and other such threats. His magic was almost useless in fights, since he usually faints from exhaustion to do so. His parents were mages, and created a crude healing Mystic Code to help him, and trained him to be a better fighter and use his magic to keep himself standing. When he tried to heal his parents after a fatal attack, his constant use of healing in vain broke him. Without anywhere to live, he set out to find a place to stay, cursing the Jaegers and their allies.

Wish: I would wish... for a world that thrived. Humanity sucks, but we shouldn't make the world suck alongside us. Does that make sense?
