I prefer the former images for the rest of the characters, as for Scott I'm a little unsure. The new and original images are both quite stylised, a bit too much in my opinion. Does Scott have one of the red-yellow-white promos that the other characters do?
After a bit of digging, I found this◊ from inside the magic (Disney themed newsite). I think it's pretty good, but it could use a crop.
"Squid has to go to market. He's had to go to market for as long as he's sucked water."That could work with the edges cropped tighter. Although, I would like to find a version that doesn't chop the top of his head off (same with Hope).
I like that linked image, though I agree with cropping it.
Revert.
As for Scott, this is the original image of 2 but with the bottom and sides only cropped. His hair is slightly cropped in the original image, and that's fine.
I found a different image for Hope.
for both.
Both get my vote.
No strong opinions on which flavor of old pic winds up on the pages, but I reaaally do not like the Quantumania ones. Peak Floating Head Syndrome.
4, plus revert the others.

I don't like that the Quantumania ones all have that glowy thing with two tiny people smack-dab over the characters' chests.
Crowner's hooked.
I actually prefer the current Quantumania-based pictures. It emphasizes just how important the Ant-Man family's new adventure is.
Also, is anyone having trouble viewing the old images? This has been happening for a while for me, but most of the time I just see a broken image link when looking at the old images. I remember what they look like, but it's getting kinda annoying.
Trust no one.Clarity trumps all. It's much better to have a recognizable picture over an "important" one.
I don't see any problems with clarity. Each picture very clearly shows a member of the Pym-Van Dyne family in the front and center.
Trust no one.I am also a fan of the Quantumania ones. I don’t think we should be going backwards timeline wise with the character posters.
It would also be more symmetrical with the other new ones for Cassie, Kang, and Krylar.

It's gonna be fun on the bun!...Uhm, were those also changed without discussion?
I just don't like the composition. The glowy blobs under their necks look bad compared to regular old portraits that show them clearly.
tbh while I like the new ones you are right about the criticism.
Also I honestly haven’t even looked at the tvtropes pages for them yet. I just saw the official released posters for everyone. Idk if they have or not.
Is there any way to amend the crowner? Add new ones? I feel like while we’re updating we should deal with all the new Ant-Man posters.
Edit: I just checked and Cassie and Kang were updated, while I don’t think Krylar exists.
It may just be because I think newer is better and the current images should reflect the new film but I’m still voting on the new ones.

It's gonna be fun on the bun! They're also unilateral changes. Those I'd say are good enough, because there's no other posters of them yet. Although whoever added the Cassie image probably shouldn't have deleted Emma Fuhrmann's depiction.
The so-called "glowing orbs" really aren't that big a deal imo. You can still see everyone's facial features, which is the most important aspect.
Trust no one.Plus they’ll probably come out with new posters in like a year. As a compromise you could just keep all of them and minimize the old posters.
It's gonna be fun on the bun!For a franchise like the MCU, shouldn’t the most recent and up-to-date posters be used irregardless on personal opinion? It’s been 5 years since Ant-Man and the Wasp was released. Everyone has change physically and costume wise since then. I think it’s wholly inaccurate to show outdated images and information.
It's gonna be fun on the bun!We are not the MCU wiki, and most recent isn't always best. See here and here for when people ran to replace the MCU page only for the replacements to be deemed not as illustrative.
Plus there's added pressure to start an IP thread as soon as new posters come in which is unnecessary effort for everybody involved. Character images are optional, they just have to show a clear and representative image of the character. In this case Paul Rudd's face + vaguely red and gray suit works fine for Scott.

I respectfully disagree, but I’m not going to push the issue as I have severe OCD and not having all of the images be from the same set and current pisses me off immensely.
I will say however that if all that’s needed is a good shot why not just wait for the film to be released digitally and crop a in film image for everyone instead.
Also Ant-man doesn’t really work well as an example because Paul Rudd is essentially ageless. The Wasp went through a radical costume and appearance update so the old images aren’t accurate.

It's gonna be fun on the bun!I'm all for images being representative of the character across the different works - which may mean the oldest work isn't the best source.
That said, given that we've just had a policy decision that images from unreleased works shouldn't be updated on their own pages, updating them on pre-existing character pages pre-release feels like it breaks the spirit of that rule.
All for reviewing this once the film's out and - maybe - picking newer images without the 'floating heads', but not right now.
Crown Description:
- MCU Scott Lang
- MCU Pym Family (all characters)
The main image for Ant-Man was changed without discussion recently from an Endgame promo to a Quantumania promo. Normally I'm for newer posters, but in this case the image is too stylized for my liking.
Current:
All of the images on MCU: Pym Family were similarly swapped, but I'm a little more neutral on these. Still, they're unilateral changes and should be voted on.
