Old Complete Monster cleanup thread

Welcome to the Complete Monster proposal thread! This is the thread where new Complete Monster examples are vetted, approved, and written up. If you're looking for the general cleanup thread (for cuts, rewrites, expansions, and the like), please go here

Important: Before suggesting any new examples, please read the Frequently Asked Questions and Common Requests List; if you have any questions, the odds are high they are answered there. Additionally, please check here for the earliest date a work can be discussed (usually two weeks from the U.S. release date) and whether the work has already been reserved by another user.

Here is how the process works:

    Process

  1. If you have a candidate to propose, you can simply come right in and propose them! If the character's run is brief, such as a single issue of a comic book, then a simple summary of their actions and any potential redeeming qualities will be enough; for longer-running candidates, an effortpost (EP) might be helpful for organizing the proposal. An EP is not outright required, but please be mindful that if a post becomes too clunky and unorganized, it can be very hard for other people to follow.

  2. After the proposal, there will be a 72-hour discussion and voting period, where people may ask questions and vote on the candidate. The number of upvotes must outnumber the downvotes by at least five for the character to be considered "approved".

  3. Three days after the proposal has been made, if the character has been approved, you may post the writeup (the text to be posted on the trope page itself) on the thread and send it to the drafts page. Your candidate will soon be added to the CM subpage. If the work has a page, you should add your candidate to the relevant YMMV page. Voila! It's that simple!

Outside of this process, we do have a few ground rules:

    Ground Rules

  1. To keep the thread moving at a reasonable pace, there are some restrictions on when a proposal can be made. There should only be a maximum of four EPs posted both per page and per hour to ensure that nothing gets lost in the shuffle; additionally, each individual troper should only be proposing or writing up characters from a maximum of three works at a time (from initial proposals to end of their voting period). If your proposal would fall outside of either of these guidelines, we'd like to ask you to please wait until they would fit within; feel free to type them up on an outside document, and then when the time comes, you can just copy, paste, and post!

  2. No plagiarism of any kind. This is a very serious matter site-wide, as the website could get in actual legal trouble over this; as a result, this can very quickly lead to mod intervention. This can take many different forms:
    1. Direct plagiarism, i.e. wholesale copying. This is not only the easiest to find, but is also the most likely to warrant quick moderator intervention. To be clear, quoting in some places is perfectly acceptable, but it has to be very clear you're quoting from something else and it cannot be anything longer than a sentence or two - if you're quoting an entire work summary from Wikipedia, no one is going to believe you've actually consumed the work, so even if you cite your source, your candidate will be downvoted anyway.
    2. Self-plagiarism. Even if you can prove that you wrote the same text in both places, the site itself can't contain any of the duplicated text. If you already wrote something once before, it's not too hard to write it a second time.
    3. Using another site's work as a template for a proposal. Just because you don't copy and paste something directly doesn't mean it's any harder to detect if you're basing parts or all of your proposal on text someone else wrote. To be clear, this doesn't violate site rules and won't lead to mod intervention, but just like if you directly plagiarize, no one will believe you've consumed the work if you're clearly basing your proposal on something else. This thread largely operates on the honor system, and tweaking someone else's work to pass it off as your own is one of the fastest ways to lose trust.

  3. Don't delete an EP unless you intend to swiftly repost it. We know that there are reasons why you might want to delete an EP, especially if it's being downvoted - rejection is hard, even in a low-stakes environment like this. However, deleting it renders the current discussion null and void, makes it impossible to reference the discussion in the future and can confuse tropers who didn't read it before the deletion. If the issue is temporary (such as formatting problems or a post getting overlooked as the thread moves on), then deleting and quickly reposting the EP is a valid option, but to fully retract an EP, please use the [[strike:]] markup instead.

  4. Votes must be for specific candidates, meaning no blanket voting (i.e. "yes to everyone I missed").

  5. If you are the first person to downvote a candidate, please provide an explanation of why when you do so. We're here for discussions above all, and a hit-and-run downvote doesn't facilitate anything.

  6. 'If a work is already reserved by another user , please don't comment on the work or any potential characters worth discussion before the discussion date. We know how exciting it is when a work has a keeper that you're waiting to talk about, but it's not fair to the person who reserved the work who is just as excited to lead the discussion to see the discussion getting spoiled before they get to do it. On the other hand, if the reservation only has one name attached, shoot them a PM - they may be down for a collaboration, which will get you in on the fun as well!

  7. Please keep the thread on-topic. While discussing the trope is fun and we encourage people to enjoy it, questions like "who's your favorite CM" are off-topic and can lead to thumps. That's the kind of question to take to people's PMs if they're willing. Similarly, while we encourage friendliness and familiarity with other users, posts should always have some kind of thread-relevant purpose; for instance, if you want to wish someone a happy birthday, feel free to, but if it's the only thing in the post, it's off-topic and needs something else alongside it. Again, though, while we strive for a friendly atmosphere, this is not Facebook; life updates are fun, but unless they have some kind of impact on your thread participation, please do not bring it here - we have Yack Fest for that.

  8. Please refrain from asking anything along the lines of "How Did We Miss This One?" In almost every case, the answer is simply "No one thought about it before". This Is a Wiki where everyone has different interests, and the fact that people missed a particular candidate, even one that seems like a textbook example of a trope or a character who is particularly iconic in pop culture, means absolutely nothing. The question is disruptive, has a simple and consistent answer, and provides nothing to any discussion.

  9. If you are suspended from parts of the website, it is still possible to participate!
    1. For users who are suspended from editing the wiki, you still have full access to this thread. You can propose candidates and write them up with no issues whatsoever; while you will have to ask someone else to post the entry to the relevant pages once it is done, all write-ups are considered thread-approved - as in, done by consensus - and thus doing so does not violate any rules regarding meatpuppeting.
    2. If you are suspended from the forums, your participation is limited but not impossible. It is still possible for a forum-suspended user to assist in creating the write-up for a character who has already been approved; as previously mentioned, write-ups are inherently considered a consensus-based edit and thus not tied to any one particular user. However, you can not assist in the proposal of a character; as a proposal is based around the forum rather than the wiki, doing so with a forum suspension qualifies as meatpuppeting.

  10. Please keep all discussions "in-house".
    1. What other wikis use for CM equivalents is irrelevant here.
    2. Please be wary of using other wikis, Fandom or otherwise, as sources of information. They are just as fallible as a site like Wikipedia in regards to accuracy because they can be edited by any user, just as this site can.
    3. Do not attempt to force a communication with an author in an attempt to gather evidence or settle a debate; besides the fact that this is a YMMV trope and thus author intent has variable weight depending on the circumstance, doing so may cross the line into drama exportation, which is prohibited site-wide.

If you would like to use an EP for your candidate, here's the general format. This format does not have to be followed exactly, but these are the main topics that need to be covered:

    Effortpost Template

What is the work?

This is a brief summary of the work you're going to discuss. We don't need a full plot summary here, just however much we need to understand going into the discussion — it can even be as simple as quoting the summary on the work's page.

Who is the candidate and what have they done?

This is essentially the character's biography — who they are, their story, the crimes they commit, and, preferably (though not required), what happens to the candidate at the end. It does not have to include every single thing they ever do — for some villains, we'd be here all day if that was the case — but it should include the highlights of their journey.

Any redeeming qualities? Freudian Excuse?

This is where any potential redeeming characteristics or tragic backstory should be discussed. Do they have a tragic past? Do they show that Even Evil Has Standards or Even Evil Has Loved Ones? Maybe a Pet the Dog moment or two? This is where these should be discussed in full. Not every potential redeeming moment is a clear-cut disqualifier, but we should hear of any potential issues to ensure the character is discussed in full.

Are they bad enough?

A Complete Monster has to be particularly vile by the standard of the work they appear in. Therefore, you should look at what the character does compared to similar characters in the same work. This takes into account things like:

  • Their resource level (a human Serial Killer can't stand up to an alien Omnicidal Maniac, but they can be bad by the standard of other human serial killers)
  • The amount of time they have to work with (such as a one-shot character versus long-running antagonists)
  • The quantity vs. quality of their crimes compared to others (someone with a lower victim count but far more visceral and personal crimes could be considered as equally bad overall as someone with a higher body count but less horror involved)

Essentially, this section is an analysis of the kinds of villainy shown in the work and an explanation of why this particular character's villainy stands out within it.

Final verdict?

This is where you post your final conclusion on the character in question. You can continue elaborating on your reasons or even just say a simple "yes" or "no"; at this point, we've heard everything we need to hear.

IMPORTANT NOTICE: This thread tackles very serious and dark matters on a daily basis. We will be discussing things like murder, rape, torture, human trafficking, crimes against children, and in particularly dark cases, several of these issues at the same time. We keep a lighthearted air, but all candidates carry the general assumption that these are awful individuals committing disgusting crimes. We ask that if you participate, you do so with the requisite seriousness such dark topics require; exclamations of how gross something is, whether serious or sarcastic, are disrespectful to the topics at hand, and if you cannot handle such topics, please do not participate.

And that's everything you need to know. Welcome to the thread!

Alright, this one's kind of a dual post, due to overlap. But JUST THIS and Run Sweetheart Run and I'll get to books. But...catching. Up.

What's the work?

Series/Guillermo del Toro's Cabinet of Curiosities is a Netflix show produced by famous director Guillermo del Toro. Now, del Toro had a plan: Give all my friends a bunch of money and let them make short horror films. Most of which are adaptations of stories both old and new.

The third episode, directed by David Prior, is based on a popular horror story by the late Michael Shea: the Autopsy. Sheriff Nate Craven visits his good buddy, Clark Winters. Carl is the local mortician and really just a swell guy. He's kind, courteous, rspectful of the dead and trying to make the best of it while his stomach cancer grows more terminal. Then a dead miner comes in, and Carl begins noticing something...off.

And inside the body is a traveler. And that "Traveler" is the subject of the EP.

Who is "The Traveler?

A parasitic alien in the body of miner Joe Allen. Real name Eddie Sykes. The alien is a race that's infiltrated humankind and a virulent, cruel sadist that enjoys the pain of its victims. The "Traveler" has evolved in a specific way as they take all of what they need from the hosts. They're blind and deaf in their natural state. The alien arrived and was found by Eddie Sykes, but took him over. The alien also ensures its host is aware of everything, Forced to Watch as the "Traveler" abducted people and murdered them for their blood, feasting on them in agony. Upon the number of missing people being reported, the alien caused an explosion in the mines and killed 9 people. Two miners were trapped and the alien kept them alive to slowly extract them of blood while feeding on poor Eddie Sykes.

With the bodies delivered to Carl, the alien sees a chance. Carl deduces from everything the alien is a monster and doesn't fall for its attempt to sweet talk him. The alien disables him and ties him down before undressing and lying on a slab by Carl, informing him that Carl is a prize host because he can enjoy meals "still warm" as delivered to him. Carl informs the alien it's nothing more than a thieving parasite and actually seems to anger it. The alien proceeds to autopsy itself to prevent suspicion with poor Eddie Sykes still alive and feeling everything . It gives Carl a wound to his thigh so it might possess him through it and informs Carl it's going to kill Nate, dissect him alive and make Carl feel all of it, from the joy it feels in carving up Nate to the "orgasms we will have with your loins."

The alien leaves Eddie's body, and Eddie just before death, manages to hold out the scalpel. Carl can't reach the alien with a bound hand to his frustration, but realizes he does have a way to stop the thing and save Nate.

With willpower beyond human, Carl slits his neck and writes a message on his chest. Then stabs his eardrums out. Then his eyes. Then slashes his own throat. The alien achieves control, only to realize it's stuck as Carl mocks it. "There's been some vandalism I'm afraid. The lights don't work. I'm afraid you'll find the neighborhood...a bit quiet. And the plumbing has a terminal leak. You only have a few minutes before I bleed out."

The panicking alien vows to take Nate's body, only for Carl to reveal the alien forgot about Carl's tape player...N Ate will hear everything relevant. The alien realizes its mistakes and begins panicking, screaming in a broken hysteria as N Ate arrives and finds the message:

"PLAY TAPE, BURN ME."

Mitigating issues?

Don't see many heinousness problems. We never see others of the species and while they're parasites, the alien is wantonly sadistic. They can feed on bodies in measured ways but the alien explicitly says it's expended more energy on keeping Eddie alive to enjoy his pain and as it flees Eddie's used up body, we see a tear run down Eddie's cheek. Indicating the poor man was absolutely broken by the agony he endured and the mental pain of watching the creature murder innocents.

It has a long monologue to Carl on how inferior it finds him, with a surprisingly large bodycount of over ten people and awful torture. It's Smug Snake in everything it does, bragging of its superiority while Carl represents the human spirit that refuses to yield.

And oh, boy, does Carl win in the end. There's one more keeper from series coming my friend Jackie will handle.

Conclusion?

And a yes.

Oh, and just FYI...the story and the episode follow the basic plot but with some differencest them. Probably enough to justify two entries. The ending is also different in the story, with Carl leaving a different message

Yes to the Alien (as it seems distinct enough from the unseen others of its species). Probably should do a separate entry for the story as well, like Masters of Horror.

Doing some research, I think I know who the Run Sweetheart Run keeper is.

Okay here's my 2nd candidate from Black★★Rock Shooter: Dawn Fall Smiley

Who Is He? What Has He Done?

Smiley is a butt naked cyborg of sorts (here’s his appearance) who serves as the leader of The Education Institution, a cult dedicated to finding and exterminated any humans they find with the cult itself being comprised of humans whom Smiley has brainwashed into turning against their kind.

Should the Educational Institution find any adolescent girls, Smiley would have his subordinates capture them where they would become sex slaves for Smiley in which Smiley would rape them continuously to impregnate one of them in his twisted goal of giving birth to an evolved human

One example was the girl Charolette who Smiley kidnapped from her father Colonel David along with her mother, in which Smiley would brainwash Charolette to serve and worship him before having Lunatic convert Charolette into a pseudo-Hemiteos Unit for Smiley to use against his enemies even having Charolette go abasing her father.

When Empress and her allies went to one of Smiley’s train to rescue the girls that he had kidnapped and raped, Smiley responds by blowing the train cart containing his prisoners up in his attempt to kill Empress and her friend. Luckily Empress and her friends survive but they aren’t able to save the girls who end up being kill by the explosion caused by Smiley much to Smiley’s apathy.

Smiley would later try hunting Empress himself where he takes an interest in her upon seeing her in action, and Smiley and his forces are sent to Empress to kill her and all her allies, he decides to kidnap her and make Empress his bride where he plans to rape and impregnate her to conceive the perfect being. However when Empress becomes disgusted with Smiley and insults him, Smiley decides to eat her alive out of spite though he fails and Empress manages to kill him.

Freudian Excuse? Redeeming Qualities?

So we don’t know how Smiley came to be but in one flashback he says to Lunatic that he feels empty because he’s better and superior than everyone else where Lunatic gives Smiley the idea of creating a child which would usher in a new race (Of course this is because Lunatic wants to create a newly evolved race human for her own purposes).

That said while Lunatic gave Smiley the idea of wanting to create a new race of humans, it was Smiley’s own choice to kidnap innocent girls and rape with in his depraved method of conceiving children and shows no care for the girls he raped or any of his offsprings he may conceive only viewing them all and the girls he intends to rape as a way to establish his morbid legacy of create a newly evolved race of humans.

All of these atrocities that Smiley has committed are all done to suffice his own ego and god complex with no well-intentions whatsoever, and he only follows Lunatic because he can help her with his own goals and not out of any genuine loyalty and shows no regard towards his own soldiers.

Heinousness

He might be considered Lunatic’s right-hand man, but Smiley can definitely stand out on his own by being a narcissistic Serial Rapist towards adolescent girls to find a mate worthy enough for him to impregnate his offspring, is in charge of an Apocalypse Cult dedicated to exterminating what’s left of the human race, brainwashed countless humans into hunting down their own kind, blowing up a train cart containing his prisoners/victim, having Lunatic convert Charolette, a child into a cyborg soldier, have done this to other girls to, and tries to eat Empress when she insulted him. Again Smiley definitely stands out here

Final Verdict

I’ll leave it to you guys to decide

Yes to Alien.

One thing I have been wondering about. Would anybody have problem with me EP version of keeper agruss from clone Wars comics TV arc is based on. There is just enough difference in plot and his deed to justifi a separate entry, but would Continuity Snarl between the Clone Wars show and other Legends material or we could just take that version as Legend agruss while leaving show one as canon version.

Not much. He is still in charge of zyggerian main facilitacility for breaking slaves and tries to drop 50,000 of them to their death. And unlike in show where it is done on count Dooku’s order here he tries it all on his own.

Yes to Smiley.

EDIT: More to come, but the Hunters tree:

  • Hunters:
    • Adolf Hitler himself, after faking his death with Eva Braun, resides in Argentina to plot out his plans of world domination. With visions of turning the world into the Fourth Reich, Hitler hopes to drop a nuke on a populated city in order to start a war and hopefully come out on top. Hitler allows Eva Braun to enact her plan to unleash a virus that would wipe out all of America's minorities, while having Hunters member Joe Mizushima tortuously brainwashed into becoming one of his agents. Behind one of the worst genocides in recent history, with the horrors of his concentration camps still haunting its survivors, age is shown to have not slowed Hitler's childish wickedness down one bit.
    • Eva Braun, the "Colonel" of the Fourth Reich, is the architect of Nazi plans in the Americas. Building a network of political influence and corruption, Eva has countless innocents murdered by her agents. Testing out deadly chemicals on children and other test subjects, Eva's plot is to place the virus in corn syrup to wipe out minorities in the US, kill millions, and plunge the country into chaos so the Nazis can take over and institute a new Holocaust. Disdaining her husband Adolf Hitler as nothing but a failure, Eva then tries to have him murdered so she can rule unchallenged.
    • Travis Leich is the chief enforcer of the Nazi conspiracy, and is unique in that he's an American drawn into Nazism. Introduced beating down a politician's friends and threatening the man's young son's life to force his votes, Leich tries to hunt down Meyer Offerman's outfit, killing and torturing everyone he encounters, murdering Jonah's friend Booty and later tying up a family to interrogate the father via shooting his wife and pregnant daughter in the knees before he murders them all anyways. Causing the 1977 New York blackout to let the Nazis cause widespread terrorist attacks and incite violent riots, Leich is later incarcerated but attempts to make himself a leader to the racists within and forge them into an army by requesting a Jewish lawyer and murdering him while shouting that "Jews will not replace us."
    • Season 1:
      • Heinz Richter is an escaped Nazi war criminal with a fondness for chess. Finding intelligent prisoners, Richter would make them his opponents in "human chess", with camp victims forced to serve as the pieces and personally murder other pieces they had "taken", killing large numbers of innocents this way. After having his chief opponent shot for attacking him, Richter later flees to America as the owner of a toy shop, murdering the Hunter leader Ruth when he finds her. Upon being caught by Jonah, Richter overpowers and tortures him for information, plotting to eliminate him as well.
      • Katarina Löw is Eva Braun's head scientist, and an executive at Schidler Corp. A sadistic chemist who firmly supports Eva's plans of a Fourth Reich, Katarina assists her boss by creating a virus located inside corn syrup that will kill all of America's minorities, hoping to have 12 million dead by the end of the month. Experimenting with her virus on countless South American children, Katarina takes an immense amount of pleasure in the deaths her virus will cause.

[tup] to Trunchball, Lunatic, Both Traveler's and Smiley.

Now that we’re back and running, I’ve got some big things planned but first I’ve got a quick candidate.

Now as some of you may remember a few years ago I got up a couple of candidates from Coroner, a Canadian crime Drama staring Serinda Swan as Doctor Jenny Cooper, the new Toronto Corner, and Roger Cross as Detective Donovan McAvoy.

Now during season four Jenny and Donovan find themselves coming across several cases that turn out to be unusual suicides. However, as it turns out something more sinister is a foot. I give you the Arc Villain for the first eight episodes finally appearing in "LGND" Fred Wozniak.

Who is he:

A two bit Con Man and petty criminal for years Fred was a minor figure well known to the local police. All that changed however, when Fred got in contact with Tim Whitman.

Whitman had three years previous had a devastating fall whilst mountain climbing in Jamaica, that had nearly killed him and left him permanently disfigured. During his recovery, he’d founded Surmount a support group for others who had suffered near death experiences that was rapidly growing.

Seeing an opportunity as Tim now took to wearing a mask in public due to his scars, Fred murdered Tim and stole his identity, making it look like he was the one who died when his car went off the road.

What does he do:

Having stolen Tim’s identity, Fred using his skills as a fraud got to working building up Surmount turning it from simply a support group in a major organisation, to the point of attracting celebrities and public backing. Styling it all with tapings of new age mythicist and athletic support. He thus reached out to a variety of vulnerable individuals and brought them in, promising them support in overcoming their trauma. With his patrons working their way up through the levels, until finally they could meet and be personally advised by him, now dubbing himself “LGND”

However, secretly Fred’s motivations weren’t so noble. Not content with all the money he was making off the legitimate parts of Surmount, Fred also guided his followers to focus on evolving with the final step of his process being that he’d convince them to recreate the incident that almost killed them (convincing them it was the only way to fully overcome their trauma), only for him to sabotage it so that this time they really did die. Their deaths only inspiring more support and efforts from his followers, all whilst Fred secretly took all the money he’d tricked them into signing over to him in the event of there death.

We get several examples of his activities, with him persuading Angelo Paqueta to inject the venom of a Banana Spider, Vishaya Thapa to recreate her skiing accident, George Riven to carve the world Evolve into his leg (leading to him fatally bleeding out) and Ramen Sharazi to shoot himself in the same spot he survived being shot years earlier (the last two making up the cases of “Emerge” and “Degargoony” respectively). All together Fred succeeded in causing seven of his followers to seemingly kill themselves. Each time marking all his victims with a moonstone necklace.

However, Fred came into a problem with Blake Zaler (a young man who managed to escape the Bridge Killer several years later) who managed to peg that Fred was a fraud. As such whilst Fred managed to get him to the bridge, Blake refused to jump off. Not taking this Fred personally strangled Blake, shoved the necklace down his throat and then threw him over hoping the authorities would dismiss it as another suicide.

Arriving at his retreat, Fred greeted the newcomers including Donovan (who was secretly undercover) and his ex-wife Cassidy, bringing them along with his spiel about recovery and evolution through his teachings. All the while building up to him convincing Cassidy to recreate her attempted suicide by drowning. Donovan managed to rescue Cassidy in time, but Fred managed to play upon his own trauma about his near death experiences in the previous season, that Donovan agreed to recreate a parody of his back surgery.

Thankfully his follow Mira (who had been Blake’s friend and also realised Fred was a fraud) snapped him out of it and faked giving him the drugs. Fred attempted to get Cassidy to plunge the knife into his back but coming to her senses at the last moment Cassidy refused. Having his followers restrain her Fred attempted to personally stab Donovan, but only faking being unconscious, Donovan managed to overpower Fred and ripped off his mask, exposing him as fraud and breaking his control over his followers. The Toronto police stormed the camp and Fred was arrested, with Jenny finding the evidence he murdered Blake.

Any Freudian Excuse or Redeeming Traits:

Nothing really. Fred is genuinely very good at working a crowd and playing upon people’s weaknesses, with him leading so many people along with his so called philosophy helping them overcome their trauma. But its made abundantly clear that he doesn’t actually believe a word of it, and its only in this for money.

Heinous Standard:

Not an issue. Overall Coroner doesn’t have a particularly high heinous standard. The majority of episodes only feature one dead body (which isn’t even always a murder). There are a handful of antagonists with larger body counts (such as our three present keepers), but with nine victims he’s presently got the second highest body count in the series.

Likewise, I think Fred is distinct enough in his pseudo cult leader money for murder scam for it not to be an issue.

Conclusion:

Overall, I can’t see any reason why Fred shouldn’t be a keeper. He is granted not the deepest antagonist, but certainly an entertaining one.

Still what do you think?

Got another quick Fanfic one.

What is the Work?

The Crow: Lament is a fanfic based on The Crow more specifically the comic book universe (judging by the tags at least). It features a man named Tom, funny thing he is apparently based on Tom Hiddleston so I guess this is an idea of what a Crow work would look like with him, pretty interesting to think about. Well anyway, Tom and his girlfriend are murdered by a trio of people and well much in the same way as the base franchise these three are utterly vile.

Who are Mitch, Steve and Vince and What Have They Done?

Mitch, Steve and Vince are a trio of men who in reality are vile Serial Rapists. Before the fic even starts the three are responsible for picking up tons of women, which Vince would often do in a club he would frequent, the three would then rape and kill them and steal their belongings. Which Steve would sell at a pawn shop so they could make some profit from what they do.

Mitch, Steve and Vince would end up running into Tom and his girlfriend Lisa, the three would rape Lisa and then kill both her and Tom. However, Tom would end up resurrected by the titular Crow and set out on a quest for vengeance against the men that did this to him. Tom would first go after Mitch who he would torture in order to get information out of Mitch would cowardly give the other two up and Tom would kill him.

Tom would go after Steve next and would end up killing him. Tom would kill him in the pawn shop and see that they are selling numerous belongings that they stole from the various women that they raped and killed. Tom would go after Vince next at a place called The Peep Show, which is a prostitution place where Vince would often grab victims, some of which are underage. One of the women there utterly hates Vince for what he has done and tells Tom to make him suffer. Tom does exactly that and murders Vince while reminding him of all the women that he was responsible for raping and murdering.

Do They have any Mitigating Factors or Freudian Excuse?

Do you seriously think that these rapist scumbags actually have any redeeming qualities at all? The answer is that they don't. They aren't implied to care about eachother at all with Mitch even selling the other two out.

Do They meet the Heinousness Standard?

They are a trio of serial rapists with a large number of victims that they have raped, killed and stolen their belongings to sell off. Now I will admit that we don’t know exactly how many victims they have but it is established that they have a very large amount. Tom sees the pawn shop with tons of belongings they have stolen from their victims, Tom visits the club where they would often pick out victims, some of which being underage, we meet a woman who was a victim in the past or knows what is going on, some of the victims are even said to be underage. The fic makes it very clear that the three have a long track record of serial rape and murder.

Now one thing to mention, it isn’t made clear what Mitch’s role in the rapes and murders are, Vince and Steve have specifically stated roles, with Vince visiting a place where they would pick out victims and Steve selling their belongings. Mitch, we don’t know exactly what he does, but it is made clear that he is a very complicit participant in what they do, so I think he can probably count as well but at the very least the other two for sure count.

Final Verdict?

Steve and Vince are easy yeses, Mitch I am leaning toward a weaker yes.

Yes to Steve and Vince, hesitant yes to Mitch.

Yes to Fred. Taking something that was meant to help people, and twisting that into just a way to make money is especially assholeish and Hate Sink worthy; the kills push it into CM level.

[tup] Traveler, Lunatic, Smiley, and rapist trio.

As for Turbo, I wanna try my hand at writing his entry:

  • Wreck-It Ralph: King Candy/Turbo (his past actions do not result in any deaths, only rendering his fellow game characters homeless at worst, while the attempted destruction of Sugar Rush is done by the Cy-Bugs, whom Turbo is unconnected to).

It's a rudimentary one- Star, since you're the one who usually writes these, you can make any improvements if you want.
