I'm losing track of which horror movies I've seen that have the word Massacre in the title.
Never trust anyone who uses "degenerate" as an insult.Ohh man, Beau is Afraid got kicked in the giant sentient dick - didn't even make a third of its budget. Too weird even for Ari Aster fans, I guess.

The pig of Hufflepuff pulsed like a large bullfrog. Dumbledore smiled at it, and placed his hand on its head: "You are Hagrid now."Woah spoilers! Spoiler mark the part where you said giant sentient dick. There might be someone who haven't see the movie yet.

“What is that? It's The Unknown!”Done. My apologies, I thought it was lacking in context enough to not require tags.
The pig of Hufflepuff pulsed like a large bullfrog. Dumbledore smiled at it, and placed his hand on its head: "You are Hagrid now."Beau is Afraid is a horror movie? I thought it was a drama.
Never trust anyone who uses "degenerate" as an insult.A Kafka-esque horror comedy-drama! Honestly with very little drama.
What's Kafka?
Speaking of horror films, Talk To Me release a second trailer.

“What is that? It's The Unknown!”Franz Kafka, best known for depressing comedies of magical realism.
The Revolution Will Not Be TropeableI recently saw Pinocchio's Revenge, and I can't help but think that it was a psychological thriller about an Enfant Terrible, disguised as a killer doll movie.
So, according to the teaser and the poster, Terrifier 3 will be Christmas themed and Art will be spending at least part of the movie in a Santa Costume.
Also the opening is described as being controversial so we can expect it to push the envelope even harder.
Ok, who let Light Yagami in here?Hello, I have question about the ending of Saw III. Could Jeff have defeated John's last trap if he:
A) had severed Lynn's collar with the circular saw he used to kill John;
B) had taken the key to the collar from the Amanda gunned down by him;
C) had broken John's heart rate monitor with the same saw;
Could he have won? And if he still couldn't, then why?
So Blum House just released a trailer of their latest movie called Imaginarywhich is when Foster's Home for Imaginary Friends and Annabelle are combined. Here's the trailer:
I don’t like being negative about upcoming films, but I will admit, I have my doubts. The director doesn’t have the best track record…
The Owl House and Coyote Vs Acme are my Roman Empire.Hello, are there any ideas about this?
Watched the first half of the legendary Alien. I couldn't find a thread for this...
...Holy freaking Hell, the beginning is absolutely painfuly slow. It almost felt like watching 2001: A Space Odyssey and I don't mean that as a compliment.
This being a TV Tropes thread, YES, I get that it was to build atmosphere. But my GOD it shouldn't take 30 minutes before anything remotely interesting happens.
With that said, the Chestbursting scene was......HOLY SHIT that was still absolutely amazing despite already knowing exactly when it's coming. I literally said out loud, "OH MY GOD!"
I watched the scene with my jaw dropped. And I can't even imagine the sheer shock and horror audiences felt back then.

I'm a (socialist) professional writer serializing a WWII alternate history webnovel.To this day I still don't really like the first Ghostbusters because it lacks a lot of the special effects and action/choreography that make films appealing to me, but I respect that it was a product of a different time and for some reason is seen as a classic.
Alien is one of those movies that'd be really hard for me to sit down with today. I'm glad I watched it when I was younger.
Akira Toriyama (April 5 1955 - March 1, 2024).Finished watching Alien.
I guess I can see why this film is such monumental in the history of horror films. Because holy crap, the scene where one of the guys search for the cat in a dark room(?)...it was so intense I legit had a hard time looking at the screen. Hell, when the Xenomorph eventually shows up and murder the guy, it was actually a massive relief.
Aight, gotta watch Aliens after this one.
I'm a (socialist) professional writer serializing a WWII alternate history webnovel.Aliens is fantastic, one of the greatest sequels ever made and a showcase of how to do an Actionized Sequel to a horror film right.
Disney100 Marathon | DreamWorks MarathonI've noticed in the past year there's been a few horror movies that have not only been total Mind Screws, but go out of their way to never answer the question of what's real and what isn't; the entire film is one big feature-length Maybe Magic, Maybe Mundane question. The ones I've seen personally are Beau is Afraid, We're All Going to the World's Fair, and Enys Main.
I know these films didn't outright invent this type of story, but I wonder if it's the start of a trend?
The pig of Hufflepuff pulsed like a large bullfrog. Dumbledore smiled at it, and placed his hand on its head: "You are Hagrid now."Oh, I hope so.
What are those latter two? I haven't heard of them.
The Revolution Will Not Be TropeableApparently a "Gremlins 3" is coming out in December?
I've seen Google bring this up too, but I wonder how reliable this is. I never heard of it until now (apart from the new animated series), and a good chunk of info is unknown, such as who the director even is.
If I had a nickel for every film where Emma Stone falls off a balcony... I'd only have two nickels, but weird that there's two of them.That looks like good old fashioned misinformation.
Hey, didn't we have a thread for the Alien movies?
Because next year, we're getting a Little Golden Book about the first ALIEN movie that teaches kids the ABC's.
Um...okay?
(And no, it's not a gag. This is from the real DiscussingFilm guys, not those parody DFs.)
Well, this is certainly a way to end a page.
It's been 3000 years…
Been really digging this filmmaker's shorts lately:
