Berserk Button: misusing Berserk Button
As I stated on the cleanup thread, if Aizen’s villainy is considered something that needs to be spoiler-marked, then a whole mini-cleanup thread would have to be made for all the examples I’ve seen on this wiki that don’t treat it like a spoiler.
One of these days, all of you will accept me as your supreme overlord. From what I know, his true colours is It Was His Sled. And, to my knowledge, we're not supposed to treat IWHS as spoilers. So, unless someone has a better suggestion, the current should be kept imo.
Anecdotally I never consumed Bleach, but was aware he was a villain from Pop-Cultural Osmosis, so I can take it or leave it. Looking it up, the pictured episode is roughly 1/6 of the way into the anime, YMMV if that's early enough to forgive as a twist.
Yeah uh Aizen is one of the most famous bad guy off all time. Which kinda makes trying to spoil him being a villain kinda pointless.
Would like a quality upgrade. Or maybe switch in the manga panel this is based on?
"That's right mortal. By channeling my divine rage into power, I have forged a new instrument in which to destroy you."I have no opinion other than the image is pretty low quality and I am wondering if we could get a quality upgrade?

Fan-Preferred Couple cleanup threadYeah I'm gonna call Fan Myopia there. I am not unfamiliar with anime/manga stuff due to osmosis but have never heard of this dude.
Right, it's easy to say a character is super famous if you know who he is. I don't, really.
Not that I'm that bothered by the image, spoiler images are sort of tricky because typically unless you know the work, you won't even be aware you're being spoiled right then. Someone would have to begin the work and then read the Monster/ page before finding out about Aizen for the spoiler to really mean anything (even just seeing the picture before watching the show might not mean anything since you could easily forget about it).
Working on: Author Appeal | Sandbox | Troper WallI agree that this is Fan Myopia - despite being one of the Big Four, Bleach hasn't stuck around as a phenomenon the same way Dragon Ball or Naruto has, at least in the US. While it's true that Monster pages are spoilers off, and therefore, it's unlikely anyone would see the image who has a problem with it, it's still plausible if the start from the Blach page and aren't aware of the policy.
Weak pull in order to stay consistent with site guidelines.
Actually, now that I look at it, I have a better argument: more importantly than whether or not people know about it (which, as mentioned previously, can fall under Fan Myopia), the twist has also become a Late-Arrival Spoiler. As far as I understand, this is because the arc has run for so long that it's impossible for any official media not to spoil the twist.
Yes, but we're using different tropes. You went with Pop-Cultural Osmosis, I cited Late-Arrival Spoiler instead.

I know little to nothing about Anime in general so I don't know the notoriety of Aizen. The guy does have his own character page so that shows that he's a least an important character.
While a quality upgrade could be done. I personally think the image just looks weird tbh.
What's wrong D-16? Rise up!I managed to not know Aizen was a villain prior to getting into Bleach, but that was years ago. What I would say is the biggest problem with what it depicts is the identity of the character he's stabbing. Even people who don't know the work but know Aizen is a villain aren't as likely to know exactly what villainous deeds he's done without reading the manga.
That said, it's a really bad quality picture, which I think is the single, biggest reason for pulling it.

If my post doesn't mention a giant flying sperm whale with oversized teeth and lionfish fins for flippers, it just isn't worth reading.
