Quick aside— I'm not really sure where is the right place to put this, since this debate has been on a couple of different threads, but ive been following most of it, and I thought there was something that hasn't been mentioned much:

Personally, other than the issue with fighteer being apparently a bit of a jerk in OTC (which i dont really use so I dont know), Im actually pretty happy and have no major complaints about the current mod team. Id be more concerned about adding in politics, actually, than in keeping the status quo.

(if anything most of the complaints I have are about admin, which obviously we cannot do anything about)

I figure that sort of opinion might not come up as much? particularly since people who are overall fine with things don't have as much incentive to weigh in. squeaky wheels and all that

What exactly do you mean by "adding in politics"?

[up] as in, voting or public commentary on potential moderators. espesially if this results in groups of users supporting or opposing particular mods

Im referring to potential politics between tvtropes users, not real-world politics, if that was unclear
