It's interesting that the poster says "Fear His Howl" when he actually whistles to signal his presence.
Come on! Let's bless them all until we get fershnickered!Speaking of timelines, was it ever established when the first Puss in Boots movie took place? For a time, I wanted to think it was before Shrek 2, but that probably doesn't make sense because Puss wasn't acting nearly as heroic when we first saw him in Shrek 2.
So maybe some time after Shrek Forever After?
All I've seen is film Youtubers still raving about the movie, so it's definitely a hit.
It's also gaining fame just for the scene of Puss bleeding from a cut, which apparently caused viewers to gasp and whisper in shock, due to actual blood in an established children's movie.

I've seen it pointed out that this movie is essentially about learning to count your blessings and find enjoyment in life as it is (to the point that one of the challenges you need to pass to get to the star is literally stopping and smelling the roses), and as such its true villain is an "affluenza kid" who believes the fact that he was born with a silver spoon in every orifice entitles him to take literally everything. I like that.
Movie isn't really subtle about that lol.
Puss learns to value life after taking it (and the people around him) for granted.
Golidlocks learns she already found the family she thought she didn't have.
And the only villain who dies is Jack, who explicitly only cares about himself and willingly and gleefully sacrifices others to get what he wants. For extra points, he's thwarted by one of the people he rebuffed.
A lazy millennial who's good at what he does.As a paleontology nerd, I find it quite amusing that the villain Jack Horner in this movie shares a name with a rather infamously unethical paleontologist.
x4 She isn't! During the "I'm a Believer" musical number, it's only Papa and Baby dancing, with Mama nowhere to be seen (in line with her being a rug in Farquaad's room). She appears in the "Shrek in the Swamp Karaoke Dance Party" short, though, but I'm not sure if that short is "canon".

TBF, Jack Horner is a character from a nursery rhyme that has long existed so for me it's amusing to think that Jack Horner the paleontologist shares a name with a nursery rhyme lol
I just saw a bunch of caricatures of the paleontologist Jack Horner with the cricket on his shoulder getting upset about his more unethical moves (such as marrying his 18-year-old student, creating dinosaur NFTs, and insisting that T. rex was exculsively a scavenger).

Some dickhead comparing Gamergate (as if anyone fucking cares about that shit anymore) to Puss in Boots and saying people were overhyping “a simple Shrek sequel”. Pretty blatant bait.
“Now! Let us engage in the art of deduction!”
