Also runs pretty well on my own PS 5. Noticed some texture popping and at one point when I was in a river the frames dropped a bit.
Otherwise I'm having a lot of fun with it. Very challenging in some areas but I spent a good amount of time running around Koboh doing things, to the point where I explored a full fifth of the planet.
Also, fuck the Spawn of Oggdo. Stupid frog.

It seems strange to me that the Purge troopers are still mini-bosses, one would think that since Cal Kestis is now much stronger, that would be reflected in the fact that the Purge troopers would be much weaker in gameplay.

Killed the Spawn of Oggdo today. That whole area I think was just one big shout-out to the stupidest parts of Fallen Order.
But now I've come across the antagonist, but considering his flashback I kind of wonder if I'll encounter some Nihil on Tanalorr. I also like how Fallen Order Cal probably would have been outmatched by Dagan, but Jedi Knight Cal was able to hold his own. I certainly didn't expect to go to Jedha though, that was a nice surprise. And Merrin, yay!

I guess I was one of the lucky PC players, beat the entire game over the weekend with minimal issues. No massive frame drops, stuttering, etc.
I wonder if any of the future High Republic media will tie into this at all and help give more context for what's going on. I kept expecting there to be some kind of big reveal about Tanalorr, like it was some kind of malevolent dark side entity with the facade of a paradise planet.
I've noticed there's a lot of Jedi blaming in the character entries for Santari and Dagen here on tvtropes. specifically saying that it's the Jedi's teaching themselves that are to blame for his decent into madness — that they don't properly treat trauma. So far I haven't seen anything in the game that remotely supports that. Is this just someone's headcanon? I can see it being a personal problem of Santari's but not the whole order.

Having finished the game, I've not seen much about Dagan having a trauma and him not just being a complete self-aggrandising asshole from the get go.
Santari does get arm choppy very fast but by that point Dagan's murdered several jedi already.

This sort of thing is precisely why the Jedi discourage attachment. There's a difference between "love" and "possession". Love can make you forget who you are so much out of an effort to protect the people you care about that you forget that you loved them in the first place. Bode got so many people killed trying to protect his daughter and thought "I'm doing this all for her" was a good enough reason, despite the fact that "Hidden Path" and "protect Kata" are not mutually exclusive.
Also, finished the game today. I enjoyed it immensely; the story was smaller in scope but I think that worked in its favor as a more character-driven piece.

Just finished myself. I have a lot of criticisms about the last quarter or so, but the overall verdict is very good. Everything just clicked in a way Fallen Order didn't quite manage. The game just left me with one last burning question...

I really appreciate how they choreographed the Vader fight. Sure every ligtsaber duel is top notch, but you could really feel how powerful the strikes were as Cere reacted.
I liked the Obi-Wan Kenobi, series but Vader's movements looked a bit too fast in that show.
As someone I watched react to the scene said, it all felt very The Empire Strikes Back , especially that brief pause were they re-position their blades. Reminded me of classic Hollywood duels.

I loved that fight. Hardest duel in the game, easily. Took me about a dozen attempts.
I really wish they'd done something else with the crossguard style. Cal looking like he's heaving around a lightsaber just can't not look and feel weird. In a game where speed is so important it's just really clunky.
I like it. Especially when paired with the Commander outfit.
Is PC playable yet? I'm still one console generation behind so it's my only option lmao.

Now that I have a PS 5, finally picked up this game, and loving it. Ran into a couple bugs here and there - occasionally I get a thing where BD spazzes out near a scannable object rather than give the prompt to scan it, requiring that I walk a distance away and come back, but so far it hasn't resulted in me missing anything.
Exploring Koboh before entering the Outpost, just going around exploring crannies and slaying Raiders.
Found the Rancor's nest, and - knowing what it was from the previews, thought I could take it on. Big mistake. After spending the last twenty minutes grinding respawning enemies to get my EXP back to where it was, I've decided to hold off on that until I get the Blaster style, whenever that is.
I did learn a couple things. If you die to a boss, instead of having to hit that boss to get your EXP back you just have to go to the spot where you died. However, you have to walk though the spot. If you dash through it, you don't get the EXP back. Oops.
Edit: Had a very similar experience with Spawn of Oggdo, except that time I felt forced to fight the boss since the game randomly threw me into that fight. It took even longer to grind my EXP back that time, too. But at least I was in a big fort that had a lot of big exp dropping enemies.
Double Edit: Something weird's going on here. I see a double post here, but I can't get rid of the second post, and when I edit this one the second one gets edited too. Definitely something odd going on.
