Because it's a sequel to a game, and therefore, it is not the same subject as Star Wars Jedi: Fallen Order, much like we had different threads for film sequels as well? Not everything is meant for a general thread, especially new stuff that's not actually been released yet.
This is pretty standard policy, not questionable at all. We've had different threads for Mass Effect 2 and Mass Effect 3, even Mass Effect: Andromeda and Fallout 4, while still having General Fallout and Mass Effect threads. Plus, we don't have much information so far so we might as well put it in a new thread for speculative discussion and the like instead of clogging up a different one.

Trans rights are human rights. TV Tropes is not a place for bigotry, cruelty, or dickishness, no matter who or their position.New Lightsaber modes, new moves to show off. Cal's blade is practically a Swiss-Army Weapon at this point.
I see Disney's gore mandate is still in effect (no organic humanoid limbs are allowed to be dismembered by sabers except when important to the story). Here's hoping they continue the first game's Loophole Abuse middle finger to it where they made the wildlife/droid/cyborg dismemberments utterly brutal, lmao.

The prequel trilogy was rather liberal with dismemberments — you could apparently get away with quite a bit of it with the cauterising visual from a lightsabre cut, or if the victim is a faceless Clone Trooper fully decked out in plastic armour. Not to mention that the first game already lets you hack apart a lot of non-human enemies.
I vaguely remember being able to do that in the Episode 1 game, though it's been a really long time so I might be wrong.
That game was a trip, though. It let you murder civilians as Jedi. It let you depopulate entire cities if you wanted to.
Not to mention IGN literally makes a point of clipping it and making a joke about it right at the start of the video.

I think that was only possible in Academy if you had a mod? Revenge of the Sith had a pretty cool duel mode. But I don't think it's gore level went any further than arm removal?
