Note: This thread was proposed by Chloe Jessica.

This isn't a trope, plain and simple. It's a thing that happens in media, sure, but it's not used to convey information about the characters, the setting, or the story to the audience. It's fanservice, but nothing about it makes it worthy of being separated. Every use that might be valid is just as effectively covered by Leg Focus. We should cut Bath Kick and move valid examples to Leg Focus.

Dirty Pair: Yuri and Kei usually stretch their legs during their many bathing scenes. Once Yuri did actually kick Carson for falling into her bubble bath. has as much context as i think it can get, but could still be swapped with Leg Focus
MsFanservice.Live Action TV: Buffy's Season 5 Big Bad, Glory (Clare Kramer, is definitely a Ms. Fanservice. Between the attention paid to her outfits, the revealingness of those outfits, shots of her Toplessness from the Back changing (right in front of Dawn, no less), the way she constantly invaded everyone's personal space, and shots of her bathing while doing a Bath Kick to show off Shes Got Legs. Damn. redundant with Leg Focus, and also this is written way too one-handedly.
The Secret Circle: Bathtub Scene: In "Beneath" Faye takes a bath in her grandpa's cabin to try to relax. At first it looks like a fanservice scene with her stretching her legs out of the tub, but soon her bath gets interrupted by all bathwater suddenly being replaced by mud and seaweeds and Faye screams in panic. Fade to Black and we come back to a towel clad Faye checking the now normal bathtub along with Diana and Cassie, who despite being witches, just assume Faye was drunk and imagined the whole thing. redundant with Leg Focus
Superman: The Animated Series: Ms. Fanservice: Soon after her introduction Maxima gets a fanservice heavy scene where she is being bathed by her servants, showing a lot of skin, including doing a Bath Kick for her servants to wash, showing off her legs. Her modesty is only preserved by Shoulders-Up Nudity shots and Censor Suds and when she surfaces from the water, her servants holding out her robe blocks the view of her body. redundant with Leg Focus
The Witcher - Lodge of Sorceresses: Bathing Beauty: After spotting Geralt amongst a crowd of pleading villagers, Keira retreats to her sanctuary and takes a bath. She entices him to walk in on her while she's nude and wet, and does a Bath Kick and a Sexy Surfacing Shot right in front of him. Possibly all part of her plan to seduce him. redundant with Leg Focus
Jewel Robbery: Our introduction to Teri is with her in her bath with the camera lingering on her legs. could just as easily be Leg Focus
Nekromantik: During her Bathtub Scene, Betty extends her leg while taking a bath. could just as easily be Leg Focus
Buffy the Vampire Slayer S 4 E 16 "Who Are You?": Showing Off the New Body: Faith-as-Buffy's first impulse is to take a bath, shows off her legs for the camera with a Bath Kick, and gropes her new body extensively. redundant with Leg Focus
Good Luck Chuck: Cam stretches her leg out of the water in order to turn off the faucet during her Bathtub Scene. redundant with Leg Focus
Catwoman: Hunted: During her Bathtub Scene, one shot shows Catwoman stretching her legs out of the water while Isis walks around the tub's border. redundant with Leg Focus

Lupin III: Part 1: Fujiko Mine does one in the sixth episode.
Zoids: Felme does this in some of her bubble bath scenes.
ThePowerpuffGirls.Tropes A To B: Him.
After the Wedding: Helene does this for some Fanservice as she's bathing while Jørgen is talking to her. Right before she pulls him, fully clothed, into the bathtub.
My Lucky Stars: Shirley while taking her bath. Pipe had quite some fun with it.
Evil Breed: The Legend of Samhain: Shae does this while taking a bath; just before Jerk Jock Steve tries to spook her.
Tanz Der Vampire: Sarah does this in Act II, when she shows Alfred the huge sponge the Graf gave her as a gift.
DevilBear: Lucy does one at the end of issue #1.
Never So Few: Carla kicks up a long, sexy leg during her... violates rules by leading into another example on which it relies for context, and even then it's unnecessary
The Supersizers Eat: During the Restoration episode, Sue takes a bath in wormwood and offers a comedic one of these.
Blonde Crazy: Ann does this, and the audience gets to she her shapely legs.
Characters.B Gata H Kei: She does one in the very beginning of the series to show how beautiful she is, but her bad body image brings her down fast. i don't think this scans, even if it had enough context
Betty Boop: A lot of her merchandising has her doing this.
Characters.Birdy The Mighty: Birdy does this in the first episode of the second season of Decode.
The Toolbox Murders: Done by Dee Ann.
Panty & Stocking with Garterbelt: Panty is shown doing one in the title card for "Catfight Club".
The Girl in Lovers' Lane: Performed by the girl in the bath who Bix walks in on in the brothel.
Characters.Tokyo Ghoul Re Ghouls: She does this, demonstrating that her legs have fully regenerated.
Catwoman: When in Rome: Selina does this in Chapter 1.
Characters.Tanz Der Vampire: She does this in Act II, when she shows Alfred the GIGANTIC sponge the Graf gave her as a gift. also duplicated on the main page
AOA: Hyejeong gives one to show off her legs in her Bathtub Scene in the "Miniskirt" MV. would be redundant with Leg Focus even if it had context
Girl's Day: Done by Hyeri in an empty bathtub for the Something music video, with this moment even being the You Tube video's thumbnail.
Characters.Dropkick On My Devil: Does this in her bath scene in episode 9.
Pillow Talk: A rare male example as well, shot in conjunction with a Split-Screen Phone Call to create the illusion that Jan and Brad are playing footsie with each other while bathing.
Columbo S 10 E 04: Nancy does one of these in the bathtub while she's calling Leon, after he's semi-dumped her, and demands her half of the money.

Other Misuse/Redundancy (8/50)

I Can't Understand What My Husband Is Saying: Bathtub Bonding: The first ending has Kaoru and Hajime relaxing in the bath together (ending with Kaoru doing a Bath Kick). Later episodes would add them washing each other's backs. low-context, the Bath Kick pothole is an irrelevant aside
Interpreter of Maladies: Twinkle in "This Blessed House" sticks a leg out of the bathtub and wiggles her toes. Sanjeev is momentarily distracted, but pushes on and tells her he's getting rid of the Virgin Mary statue, which starts an argument. again, as much context as i think it can have, but fits Not Distracted by the Sexy as well
Characters.Lupin III:Bathing Beauty: In Lupin III: Part 1, she has a Bathtub Scene in celebration of her successful diamond theft. She even bathes with the diamond, rubbing it on her legs as she does a Bath Kick. Money Fetish + Leg Focus
Age of Consent: Not in a bath, but the same effect. The movie ends with Bradley and Cora frolicking in the ocean. They plunge into the water, Cora kicks a leg up in Bath Kick style, freeze frame, movie ends. disagree. not in a bath=not the trope.
Bride of Chucky: Tiffany manages to fend off Chucky with one leg. If she did more than scream her damn head off, she might have escaped the television falling into her bath, electrocuting her. misunderstands the trope
So Close: A literal version happens, when Lynn kicks Sue while still inside her bathtub. misunderstands the trope
Flash Gordon (2007): An unusual example at the end of "Pride". When Baylin is taking an "oil bath" she's nude reclining on a chair and lifts her leg so she can clean it as if she were on a bathtub. not a bathtub, not the trope
With this Ring... (Green Lantern): Predator-possessed Carol teases Hector Hammond spitefully by taking a bath in front of him. To add insult to injury, she ostentatiously lifts one leg out of the water. this whole page has a problem with extensive unnecessary quotes, and this sounds like The Vamp or Femme Fatale combined with Leg Focus

"Does the queen think the water too warm, or, perhaps, too cold?" asked Namita, one of her attendants. "We can adjust it with a simple action."

"The water is fine, Nami," Star Sapphire replied. "Just do what you do, and all will be well." She lifted one bare leg out of the water, ostensibly for the girl to soap it, but really for the effect it would have on Hammond. She saw his eyes bulging. That was the one part of him that moved... voluntarily, that is... and she took sadistic pleasure in it.

Unclassified (7/50)

Cyberbots: Interrupted Bath: Chiyomaru and Tessan interrupt Devilotte while she's in the middle of a bubble bath while inside her Variant Armor. She isn't embarrassed to talk to Chiyomaru while they watch her via the monitor and even performs a Bath Kick as he talks to show her disinterest. When he does piss her off, she doesn't hesitate to jump out of the bath and stand naked in front of the camera while telling them off, which makes both Chiyomaru and Tessan blush. (Censor Suds cover up anything indecent). actually explains what Bath Kick symbolizes for the character and thus gives it enough context!... but it's in another trope entry and doesn't have its own.
Secret Wars: The end of the Amazing Spider-Man tie-in features Jackpot taking a bubble bath after her fight with the Skrulls, complete with a gratuitous Bath Kick.
Murder Princess: Bathtub Scene: Falis gets gets several, the first one complete with the obligatory Bath Kick and Censor Suds. low-context Bathtub Scene entry
