Sure, but the “somehow he had it again” is also Word of God (it’s another twee further down) which depending on how you interpret tone on the internet can suggest that Gunn wrote the kit out on purpose and is another at the Russo Brothers for being it back.

“And the Bunny nails it!” ~ Gabrael “If the UN can get through a day without everyone strangling everyone else so can we.” ~ CyranI didn't realise that 'somehow he had it again' was a quote tbh. Regardless that Quill got replacement stuff isn't Word of God it's film canon.
And even if he didn't get the same specific bit of kit, the forcefield space suits and jetpacks from 2 clearly aren't unique either. It's pretty damn stupid not to be carrying safeguards when you live in space and are planning to pick a fight there.
Ryan George's Pitch Meetings skit has dropped for Guardians 3.
My Tumblr. Currently side-by-side liveblogging Digimon Adventure, sub vs dub.Peter was being pretty damn stupid then
He doesn’t screw his head back on until halfway through the movie in any case
Forever liveblogging the AvengersIt's a shame Quill doesn't have the mask cause the costumes are near perfect recreations of the Dn A era suits
Would have been dope if Quill had the helmet he had there
Can I just say the reaction to this film has been nice.
Rocket has always been popular. But I think this film has sealed his position as one of the biggest fan favorites in the MCU ever (Which isn't bad for a guy whose a comedic funny animal sidekick being given his own film).
"That's right mortal. By channeling my divine rage into power, I have forged a new instrument in which to destroy you."Rocket's always been the breakout of the Guardians. Long before the first Guardians movie, he was the only one of the group put into Marvel vs. Capcom 3.
They did something clever by essentially making Peter a Decoy Protagonist to him though.
A lazy millennial who's good at what he does.Oh yeah. But let's be honest. Before this he was basically a side character and sidekick to everyone else. Which is fine. Not every character needs to be in the lead to be cool.
Making him the main character and it being such a great success and it considered being so touching. . That's an achievement .

Wasn't that the first time they'd have to wear their uniforms? They don't wear them when home at Knowhere, and at the Orgosphere they were trying to blend in. Going to Counter-Earth would be the first chance they'd have to wear their uniforms, if I remember right.

Really only tangentially related to Guardians of the Galaxy as its part of the press junkets, but here's James and Sean Gunn doing a "Wired Autocomplete Interview" which is where they'll sit people down and ask them questions based on what comes up in Google search results. I love these things.
To bring it to Guardians Vol. 3 focus, I had no idea Sean voiced young Rocket. He did a damn good job.
Huh I just now realized, since Qull didn't bring his mask and jetboots, that means Star-Lord has none of his signature equipment in this film
Like the films already adapted out his element gun (a pistol that can shoot fire, water, wind, and earth), but he still had the famous mask in all his prior appearances
But here he has nothing. So that begs the question, is he still Star-Lord when he has none of the things that recognizably make him Star-Lord?

"I am Alpharius. This is a lie."I don't remember precisely, but I think Peter used the Star-Lord name less often than before in this movie.
Whatever your favourite work is, there is a Vocal Minority that considers it the Worst. Whatever. Ever!.Which probably makes his status as a Decoy Protagonist all the more apparent.
A lazy millennial who's good at what he does.It also shows that he sees himself more as a member of the Guardians rather then being "Star-Lord". His identity is being with his Found Family, not a Ravager title.
You could argue that he’s more of a star lord than ever before since he now owns land? among the stars
Forever liveblogging the AvengersSpeaking of Knowhere I like how in the first movie it looked like a grungy space station and the only thing required to make it look like a space western town was to turn the lights on
Just makes me imagine the Collector looking at an electric bill like dear god I’m not paying this another month!
Forever liveblogging the Avengers- Quill: Wait, so that's it? We just have to flip a switch and then boom, adequate lighting? What the hell?
- Rocket: Oh, it turns out the Collector was a greedy cheapskate. Who could have guessed?
- Quill: Yeah, I suppose I probably should have seen that coming.

I never thought it was a gag and I don't see how it could be read as one. It was a fakeout for drama, not a joke.
