When I sometimes accidentally tap on their names or avatar which sends me to their Troper page, there's something there which interests me that leads me to read the whole thing. Other than that, I rarely do.
Checking in on this account after leaving the site, MAN that is a cringy forum post history. Daaamn. Never again.I enjoy it. I don't do it all the time, but I do think it's fun, especially if the person has been around for a while because I always like to see what pages people launched.
Working on: Author Appeal | Sandbox | Troper WallEvery now and then. It's usually for certain forum games but I do enjoy it.
Beast Yeast episode 12 was peak. Everyone in that episode was great. Especially White Lily.Other benefits of reading Troper pages are that you get to see any recent edit activity, get a peek into their personality, and vandalize their Troper Wall if they have one, like mine!
I often read them. They give personality to usernames and forum icons, and help me remember who the regulars are. And some are quite creative, you never know what you'll find. But I will say that I don't like the ubiquitous (maybe less so nowadays) "tropes that apply to me" because they tend to be misuse, some character tropes can apply but narrative ones can't.
On the matter of troper walls, I'm surprised troper pages were made owner-only-can-edit in 2014. It's the sort of obvious anti-vandalism measure I would have thought would be needed already in 2010.
Stories don't tell us monsters exist; we knew that already. They show us that monsters can be trademarked and milked for years.I read them sometimes. I like seeing potential lists of things they contributed to on the wiki (what tropes they launched, what work pages they made, any images they put on pages, etc).
SING TO ME, LEND ME THE SONG OF BLASPHEMYAll the time, it helps me on what to think to say on the "Ask above poster" thread and it's nice to see what they are interested in especially since it could increase my catalog if they like something that looks appealing I haven't seen/played yet.
I feel it helps to read peoples pages to avoid any wrong assumptions (which some has to towards me).
When Dracula's Curse is manageable through grand melodies.Sometimes, especially with forum and TLP regulars!
I think it's pretty cool to see what people put on their pages.
Cold turkey's getting stale. Tonight I'm eating crow.

Personally, when I visit the forums or Haiku pages, I read the Troper Pages of just about every person that replies. I do this not just to familiarize myself with the community and appreciate the people who contribute to this wiki, but also because it's fun!
That being said, it does annoy me when fellow Tropers never bother to edit their own Troper Pages.
