"That's right, Adela," Phillip says. "Pudding here's a gift from the Professor. And I ended up catching a Komala, too, with Ariel and Joe's help." He then notices Adele's Poketch, and wonders if he should make a remark about it.
Pudding burbles and pokes Phillip, pantomiming something like a need to rest.
"All right, I get you," Phillip says, taking out Pudding's Pokeball. He carefully aims the button on the Pokeball just above his head. "Back you go."
Struck by the red beam from the Pokebal, Pudding dissolves into red light and is sucked into the Pokeball, which snaps shut.
"I'm with Ariel on this," Phillip says, his hair now a total mess from Pudding's jostling. "We should hustle to Betata City on the double."
Nick the photographer - Betata City gym, with Hyde, Adrian, Jacques, (Jack) and Flint.
Also starring Torry the Rockruff and Emmett the Eevee!
Nick had been trying to kind of ignore the conversation and focus on his picture taking, as he didn't want to miss any of the high points in the action. Not that he wasn't hearing it all of course, but he was fighting the urge to speak up and say anything.
... Until Chelsea's last little jab at Adrian, which is when Nick couldn't help but point something out.
"No, you said he'd lose," Nick said, only glancing back at Chelsea for a moment, before turning back towards the battle and motioning his head towards the trainers' side of the field. "They're up two Pokemon to one. He's still winning," the photographer added, as if making a simple observation. Then he returned his attention to the camera's viewfinder, to continue taking photos.

Adrian feels his grip on the railing tighten.
Don’t let her get to you…you’re better than that. Breath…breath…
He takes a deep breath, a smile coming to his face when Nick pointed out Chelsea’s mistake in judgement.
“He’s right you know. And besides, he put up a fight right to the end.”
He doesn’t even give her the courtesy of looking at her as he shrugs.
“I’d say that’s one kind of strength.”
“Mrrrrrrrow.”
Hyde Sagasu - Betata City Gym
Zullie the Misdreavus
Zullie barely had time to emit a 'Ree-!' before the Misdreavus was sent tumbling across the ground by Corvisquire's hit-and-run attack. The little ghost quietly groaned with the effort it took her to resume floating, bobbing unsteadily in the air as she did. Zullie shook to try and clear her head, but it was obvious she was a mess. She blew a loose lock of hair out of her face, too tired to move it manually.
"Zullie..." Hyde fretted. Seeing her like that was bringing up some unpleasant memories from yesterday. However, a different memory surfaced, from just after leaving Professor Hawthorn's lab.
A devious grin crept onto Hyde's face as a new plan formed in his head. Zullie looked back across the battlefield and their eyes locked. "Zullie, use Destiny Bond," Hyde ordered, just loud enough for her to hear him, without announcing his intentions to the whole arena. The Misdreavus briefly looked surprised before sporting a similar smile to her trainer. Zullie closed her eyes and began to incant a strange and spine-chilling spell. The jewels around her neck turned pitch-black and her eyes snapped open as they too were overcome with darkness.
Their trap was set. Now, if Flint and Nabe didn't finish off Corvisquire first, it was likely that Hawke would take himself out with the next attack.
Higher beings, these words are for you alone.Adela - Route 1 - No Active Pokemon - With Phillip, Ariel and Joe
Adela had caught but a glimpse of Betata City so far, her view from inside the taxi stored away in her head. Flowers that lined the streets, not unlike her hometown; the mighty Gym that soared to the azure; the visiting bird Pokemon... She couldn't wait to see it all up close and personal, without a car window getting in the way. And with three new companions in tow, she got the feeling her adventure was about to get a little more lively.
"Yeah," she replied to Phillip and company. "Travelling by myself was fine, but... A party of four doesn't sound so bad. Lead the way."

"Hark! For your greatest fears manifest in yours truly!" (She/Her) (Current focus: Image Pickin')Flint Kajiya - Betata Gym Battle
With Nabe the Aron
"Great job, George. We'll take it from here!"
Flint's satisfaction that Nabe caught their Gligar with her attack was quickly overshadowed by the clash between it and Crusher, and their dramatic attempt to stay standing, for a moment he forgot to pay attention to Hawke and his pokemon still on the field, until the Corvisquire was already diving for Zullie.
"Nabe, stop that Corvisquire with another Head Smash!"
Nabe seemed to snap to attention as well and ran, closing in on Corvisquire just after it sent Zullie reeling. Flint was briefly worried that she had been taken out right then, leaving him with the intimidating prospect of finishing the battle with a serious professional trainer one on one, but he breathed a sigh of relief when she shook it off.
Though he didn't quite catch Hyde's command to Zullie, he could tell there was some plan being put in motion. "Nabe, let's buy Zullie some time. Keep that Corvisquire away from her!"
Ariel smiled wider.
"All right, let's go, people! We're nearly there!" Ariel exclaimed, starting to march happily forward. Joe followed behind, checking behind to make sure that the others were keeping up.
As the four walked, they began to hear the sound of a commotion in the distance.
"What's it now?" Joe asked, sounding a little overwhelmed, but stepping forward to try and get a better look. The bushes ahead were rustling, and there were the sounds of Pokemon cries.
Out from one of the bushes hopped a brown mammalian Pokemon with tan-colored fluff over parts of its body, one long ear tipped with fluff and another close to its head. It hopped with significant dexterity to avoid a rolling tackle from another Pokemon. This Pokemon had a round body with large yellow and black eyes, and a dark grey cap on the top of its head. It was brown in color and resembled an acorn.
Several more of the round Pokemon were harassing the rabbit Pokemon.
"Tcch," Chelsea responded. "I know what I said. Pinsir did lose. It fainted. George lost this fight. The only reason he got so far is because he had to be held up by those other two. He isn't strong, he just needed help."
"Dodge the attack!" Hawke exclaimed, and Corvisquire flew up into the air to evade Nabe's Head Smash. "Misdreavus is almost down! Another attack should finish it off! Go, Corvisquire! Use Aerial Ace!"
Corvisquire flew at high speed, looking determined, as its wings began to glow with bright light. It was then, however, that Hawke noticed the strange purple aura swirling around Zullie.
"What is— oh no, it's Destiny Bond," Hawke gasped. He took a step forward. "Stop!! Don't attack!" he shouted. But it was too late. Corvisquire sliced into Zullie with its wings, causing Zullie to tumble out of the air and land on the ground weakly, fainting.
This made the dark aura surrounding Zullie burst forth and lash out towards Corvisquire. The ghostly energy seemed to sap the vitality from its target, and Corvisquire cawed loudly and painfully.
"Corvisquire, no!" Hawke yelled, as the Raven Pokemon fell to the ground, unconscious. The referee raised his flags to the air.
"Misdreavus and Corvisquire are both unable to battle!" he yelled, then pointed his flags in the direction of Hyde, Flint and George. "The victory goes to the challengers: Hyde from Ecruteak City, Flint from Etta Island, and George from Viridian City!"
The crowd erupted into cheers.
"You two were amazing! Thank you so much!" George cheered. Hawke pulled out his Poke Ball.
"Corvisquire, return!" he called, recalling his fainted Corvisquire. "You fought well, friend," he told his Poke Ball. Then he looked up. "Challengers! Step forward. You've won my challenge, and you deserve your reward." Skye and Jonas smiled and stepped forward, clapping as well. Chelsea looked indignant.
"He didn't win! George and Hyde lost! They don't deserve anything..." Chelsea spat. Sarah and a few other nearby people in the crowd shot Chelsea some glares, as the rest of the crowd continued to cheer for the victors. George stood in amazement, looking around at the cheering crowd, then back towards Flint and Hyde.
"Let's go!" he said, walking forward to meet with Hawke, Jonas and Skye.
Hideki pumped his fist and yelled in excitement, watching the battle unfold.
"They won!" Hideki cheered. Nurse Joy smiled, casually watching and clapping her hands.
"Chansey! Chansey!" her Chansey cooed, also watching.

I can still hail the Horde even though the company has shamed us. Strength and Honor even if Blizzard has neither.Phillip witnesses the rabbit-like Pokemon harassed by the pack of acorn-like Pokemon, and he feels compelled to action. He pulls out his Rotom Pokedex and aims it at the group of wild Pokemon with one hand, while taking out a Pokeball with the other.
"You're up, Euca," Phillip says, tossing the Pokeball.
Euca the Komala emerges from the Pokeball, in the middle of picking webbing out of her fur. Despite looking asleep by all appearances, she seems to notice the commotion nearby, and she moves her log to point at the wild Pokemon nearby.
"Well?", Phillip says to the others. "Shall we rescue the rabbit?"
Adela - Route 1 - No Active Pokemon - Adela decided to go with Phillip, Ariel and Joe!
Adela and company's stroll towards Betata City was interrupted by the swish of bushes and cries of rowdy wild Pokemon. The rabbitesque Pokemon with rolled-up ears, hopping like its life depended on it, Adela recognised from trips to the Eterna Forest as a child - this was a Buneary. Its assailants, however, were new to her, and she would've benefitted from Phillip's Pokedex's information just as much as he did.
Adela gave a firm nod when Phillip asked if the party should help the Buneary. She zipped her bag open, but hesitated before grabbing a Poke Ball.
"First, we need a-"
Her suggestion that the group form a battle plan was cut short by a burst of white light. Once it dissolved, a round mass of dark green fur ruffled itself up as an intimidation tactic, pointy ears twitching forwards. It turned out Spike wanted a piece of the action.
"Munchlaaaaax!!" he roared, raring to go. But just behind him, Adela stood with a palm splayed against her face.
"Spike, no..." she said. "You're still hurt..."
Spike responded to his trainer's concern with a dismissive huff. He dragged one of his feet along the ground and aligned himself into a fighting stance, almost as if he was ignoring the damage from his previous battle.
"Munch munch!" he said looking back at Adela, as if to say, "I'm fine! Let's do this!"
"...Alright. But be careful." Adela closed up her bag and looked to the rest of the party, fresh determination in her eyes. "What's our first move?"

Welp, that did it.
Adrian turns on his heels and begins to stomp toward Chelsea.
「この神経症のガキ!」
Another step
“How petty can you get!”
Step
“EACH! ONE! Beat one of the gym leader’s Pokémon! EACH! ONE! EARNED that victory!”
Another, he’s fuming.
“How dare you diminish their part! How DARE you try and rid them of that pride they have in their partners!”
Stomp
“They did TOGETHER what they couldn’t do ALONE! So don’t you dare try and take that away!”
Luna, jostled by the burst of anger, is now on the ground, pulling her trainer by the leg of his pants trying to stop him.
If someone doesn’t step in, Adrian might just go off and slug this girl.
Hyde Sagasu - Betata City Gym
Zullie the Misdreavus (is unable to battle)
Hyde stood awestruck for a moment, both from the fact that they'd won and from everything to do with that last attack. The power of Destiny Bond was not to be taken lightly. Hearing his name called alongside Flint and George snapped him out of it as the crowd started cheering. Hyde smiled and waved back as he fished around his coat pocket, quickly producing Zullie's Poke Ball.
The recall beam returned Zullie to the safety of her ball. Hyde held it close. "Thank you, Zull-'' was about as far as he got before the ball popped open in a flash of light, startling a 'EEYeagh!' out of him as he fell flat on his rear.
"Riid?" Zullie trilled as she looked around for Hyde. Then, the fact that she was too worn out to float caught up with her and she fell straight down onto him, eliciting an 'oof' from the disoriented trainer. "Riid! Dreeree, vus?" the little ghost babbled, trying her best to communicate.
Hyde's hand reached up and gently patted Zullie's head. "We won, Zullie. You got 'em," Hyde assured her. The Misdreavus hummed happily and smiled back. Hyde navigated getting back to his feet, making sure to keep his partner cradled in the crook of one arm. With Zullie secured, Hyde turned back to the crowd and waved again in Nick's direction, hoping it made for a good picture.
Hyde picked up the pace to join the others with Hawke. "Heh, didn't mean to hold things up. I think Zullie didn't want to miss the awards," Hyde explained. Unbeknownst to him, Zullie was already fast asleep in his arms, with a smile on her face.

Higher beings, these words are for you alone.Nick the photographer - Betata City gym, with Hyde, Adrian, Jacques, (Jack) and Flint.
Also starring Torry the Rockruff and Emmett the Eevee!
Nick just rolled his eyes slightly when Chelsea made her initial response, and opted to continue ignoring her and just taking photos. Though he couldn't help a slight smirk when she started complaining about who 'should' have won.
... But then that set Adrian off, and he was shouting furiously at her, stomping up to her. Torry got up and started barking, alarmed by the hostility going on, while Emmett lifted his tail and ears, his fur fluffing up a bit as he tried to make himself look bigger. Poor Nick was caught between wanting to get some great photos before the opportunity was missed, and wanting to keep his travel buddy from starting a fight and getting thrown out of the gym.
"Whoa, whoa! Adrian, calm down, it's not worth it!" Nick said, walking over and putting a hand on Adrian's shoulder in a flimsy attempt to keep the other trainer held back. The photographer tried to keep getting photos at the same time with just one hand. Thankfully, he got one of Hyde waving, though it was a bit askew, and would have to be fixed in post. "You can settle this later if it matters so much!" Nick added, hoping Adrian would just back off it.

With Nabe the Aron
After failing to catch the bird with her charge Nabe stubbornly planted her feet and made ready to intercept Corvisquire's next attack, unfortunately it's agility allowed it to strike before Nabe could finish another Rock Tomb. Then suddenly both pokemon were down, leaving the small metal monster looking confused when the referee announced the results.
Flint likewise blinked in confusion at the sudden turn of events, then chuckled "That's a pretty nice trick" at Hyde and Zullie. "It was a team effort, you and Crusher did great too!" he told George as they crossed the arena to meet with the gym leader with Nabe at his side.
He waved in the general direction of Nick, Adrean and Chelsea in the process. Though if he heard any of her complaining from here he didn't show it.
Phillip's Rotom Pokedex floated out of his hands to scan the two Pokemon locked in combat with each other, showing information and speaking up:
"I wonder if that's what happened..." Ariel said quietly. Then she furrowed her brow and took out her Poke Ball. "Melody, let's go! Protect Buneary!" she said, tossing the ball and releasing her Cutiefly with a flash of light. Melody buzzed into the air, looking as determined as a tiny ball of fuzz could.
"You too, Hiss! Help that Buneary!" Joe said, tossing his own Poke Ball. From the Poke Ball emerged a long purple snake Pokemon with a band of yellow scales on its neck and belly, and an off-yellow rattle at the end of its tail.
"EKANSSSS!" it hissed, shaking its rattle.
Buneary and the multiple Seedot glanced over for a moment, before Joe stepped forward.
"I'll start it off! Hiss, Leer at those Seedot!" he commanded. Hiss gave the multitude of Seedot a piercing stare which seemed to intimidate some of them. Another few Seedot emerged from the bush; now there were four in total.
"How many are there??" Ariel wondered aloud. "Melody, use Fairy Wind to push them back!" Melody flew forward and fluttered its wings, pushing at them with a a sparkling pink wind. The Seedot winced and tried to advance, their tiny bodies being forced back away from Buneary, but still trying to move forward regardless.
Chelsea stood her ground, glaring at Adrian as he stormed up towards her, not even flinching even as Nick moved up to try and force Adrian back.
"My point exactly," Chelsea insisted, her voice taking on a low growl. "They couldn't do it alone. Because they're weak." Chelsea huffed a little. "I don't have time for sentimental weaklings like you. I'm here to win. And I'm going up front to see when my turn is. Stop wasting my time." She went up the stands, around the gathered group of friends, and started to make her way towards the gym's lobby.
Meanwhile, George looked sheepishly at Flint, who had complimented him.
"Aw, shucks. Thanks!" he exclaimed, beaming. Hawke looked proudly at the three trainers who had defeated him and his assistants.
"Hyde, Flint, George. You three have shown prowess in battle and a fighting spirit within. It gives me great pleasure to award the three of you with your first official Omega League badge," said Hawke. An assistant walked up with a case, and Hawke reached inside, grabbing three metal badges. They resembled a wing in flight, sky blue in color, with a metallic sheen. "The Aero Badge is the prize for defeating me at the Betata Gym," he explained. "Wear it with pride. But that's not your only reward. Pull out your Pokedexes."
Hawke then pulled out his a small device and pushed a few buttons. If the three were to check their Pokedexes, they would notice data being transferred to the devices.
"Are you familiar with the concept of Technical Machines?" he asked. "If not, Technical Machines, or TMs, are programs on your Pokedex that can be interfaced with the kiosks in any Pokemon Center in Tuloh. They allow you to teach your Pokemon a special move. My special move is Aerial Ace, a Flying-type move with cutting power," Hawke continued to explain. "It is swift and will not easily miss. Use it well." The three trainers' Pokedexes chimed. "With that, please return to the main lobby for your prize money. The next trainer challengers will be announced shortly. There is a healing machine in the lobby to heal your Pokemon, or you can head to the Pokemon Center a few blocks down."
"Tell them about where to go next," Skye urged. Hawke's eyes widened.
"Oh, yes. Forgive me, this is a lot of information to take in," Hawke added. "You have two options ahead of you. You can either head to the east down Route 2 and arrive in Gamaria Town to challenge the gym there, or you can head north from here to Route 3, through Dalett Cave, east along Route 4 and arrive in Dalett City and challenge the gym there," said Hawke. "Either way there are many more wild Pokemon for you to encounter and catch. I wish you luck on your journeys." Jonas smiled and saluted.
"You three fought amazing. I'm hoping you fight just as well at the gyms coming up," Jonas chimed in.
George was grinning from ear to ear, words really unable to come out of his mouth. He gestured towards the passageway back to the lobby, looking at Hyde and Flint.

I can still hail the Horde even though the company has shamed us. Strength and Honor even if Blizzard has neither.Adela - Route 1 - Active Pokémon: Spike the Munchlax - VS wild Seedot
Adela’s new companions wasted no time in working to protect the Buneary. Leer caught the initial batch of Seedot off guard, while Fairy Wind would prevent any more from advancing and buffet the ones actively harassing the Buneary. Such strategic competence prompted a small, practically unnoticeable fist pump from Adela before she pointed forward to give her Pokémon her first command.
"Spike, try using Lick to keep the Seedot away."
Stepping as far forward as was safe, Spike extended his long tongue out onto the field. He batted it at an advancing Seedot, taking care not to hit the Buneary by accident. Even if it would have no effect, as he learned from fighting Patches, it would still be gross as anything.
An idea popped into Spike’s head when he noticed the bushes. He attempted to wrap his tongue around another Seedot; sure of its security in his grasp, he wound himself up to throw the Seedot back into the bush from which it came...

Adrian stops short when Nick pleads with him to stop, spitting a huff of indignant air as Chelsea’s back as she leaves.
“Tch…what a bitch.”
Adrian shakes his head as he turns to Nick.
“Sorry…about that. All that stuff she was spouting really got my Gogoat,” he sighs, “I can’t stand people like that.”
Luna paws at Adrian’s leg with a soft mewl, causing him to kneel to pick her up.
“Sorry girl, sorry…”
Luna takes her shoulder spot again as Adrian recalls his spectating Eevee.
“But…one thing she got right. We should go look to see when we’re up for the next fight.”
He forces himself to smile a little, “…and we have friends to congratulate too!”
He too makes his way back toward the lobby.

Nick just shook his head as Chelsea walked away. The photographer was about to turn his attention back to the arena, when Adrian started to leave the stands. "Oh, you go ahead," Nick said, then got back to focusing on his camera, and taking pictures of the three challengers getting their winnings.

Zullie the Misdreavus (is unable to battle)
Hyde was beaming with pride the entire time they were being congratulated. After receiving his Aero Badge, Hyde wanted to show it to Zullie, but realized the Misdreavus was out cold. He bowed his thanks to Hawke with just his head, careful not to tilt the sleeping specter.
Once it all wrapped up and they'd been given the okay to return to the lobby, Hyde made to leave with George and Flint. "This is so cool," Hyde whispered, despite Zullie having just slept through louder cheering and awards. "That battle was awesome. Thanks so much guys. We make a good team!"
As they walked, Hyde kept an eye out for the healing machine.
Higher beings, these words are for you alone.Phillip is impressed at how quickly his allies snapped into action. Between the Leer from Hiss, the Fairy Wind from Melody, and the Lick from Spike, the Seedot swarm is harried in their advance on the Buneary. But, Phillip is going to try helping out regardless.
"Okay, Euka!", Phillip calls out. "Aim for those Seedot over there and Rrrrrrollout!"
Euka lifts an ear and tilts her head in confusion. "Ko?", she asks.
"Er, the little sounds," Phillip clarifies, embarrassed that he forgot about Euka not being able to see what's around her. "The pitter-patters."
Euka nods. "Ma!" she says, before spinning up into a Rollout and rolling towards the Seedot nearby. One could almost imagine the scene like a game of bowling, with Euka as the ball and the Seedot as the pins.
Flint Kajiya - Betata Gym
Flint reverently took his Aero from Hawke and held it up to look it at, still having trouble believing he got one in the same week that he received his first pokemon. Nabe looked excited when Flint showed her their prize, but the turned back to listen to the rest of Hawke's speech and receive their TM. Finally Flint nodded at their suggested next course of action, "Thank you, sir!" and headed out of the arena.
"Yeah, we did make a good team, huh? I can't believe how that turned out. I was starting to get worried about how we'd handle Hawke one-on-one" Flint chuckled and added to George "And Nabe might have been in trouble if that Gligar had some good Ground-type moves. So Crusher holding it down really paid off for us."
Euca and Spike advanced to help Hiss and Melody defend the Buneary from the attacking Seedot. As Euca rolled, it indeed bowled over a good number of Seedot, sending them flying every which way and landing on the ground. Meanwhile Spike stuck out its tongue and swatted away one of the Seedot, and grabbed another Seedot and sent it back into the bush.
A few more Seedot advanced from the bush, running towards the four Pokemon and trying to Tackle into them, but There were now about eight Seedot emerging onto the path. Ariel and Joe took a step back each.
"What is going on here??" Joe asked incredulously.
"That poor little Buneary!" Ariel said. "Use Fairy Wind, Melody! Force them back!" Melody fluttered its little wings, exerting itself as best it could to try and force its attackers back, but it was Tackled by one of the Seedot, knocked back slightly.
"Hiss, use Poison Sting! Spread it out!" Joe commanded. Hiss rattled its tail.
"EKANSSS!" it hissed, then opened its mouth and fired out dozens of purple barbs in the direction of the group of Seedot. The Seedot fluttered their feet in an attempt to dodge the Poison Stings. However, out of the bushes a crescent-shaped burst of air sliced right towards Hiss, knocking it back.
Then out from the bushes leapt a short brown humanoid Pokemon. It resembled a child with a light brown mask with a long pointed nose, and a single leaf at the top of its head. It glared at the trainers, then smirked and its eye twinkled maliciously.
George grinned, nodding and pinning the badge to his jacket. He followed Hyde and Flint back towards the lobby, where a good deal of the trainers had made their way as well, talking about the battle and getting excited about their own turns at the fray.
A free healing machine was available for Hyde to use. George picked another one, putting Crusher's Poke Ball inside and letting the machine do its work. While he waited, he listened to Flint's excited praise.
"Aw, gee. Crusher did good, yeah. And your Aron was something else, it knocked that Natu out of the sky, and slowed down Gligar right good! Hey... Someone here needs to see this. C'mon out, Pointer!" George said, releasing another Pokemon from its Poke Ball. However, instead of the little worm-like Weedle, a different Pokemon emerged. This was an off-yellow, vaguely oval-shaped Pokemon with folded up claws, a pointed end, and a bulbous head with dark eyes.
"Ka-kaku," Pointer hissed, barely moving, but looking up at George. George grinned and pulled the Aero Badge at his jacket up towards the Cocoon Pokemon.
"Look what I got!" George cheerily said. "I won a badge! Crusher did amazing! You should've seen it!" He pulled Flint up close with an arm around his shoulder. "And Flint and his Aron cleaned up house too! We should have another picnic after this gym business is done!" he suggested.
Pointer just stared at George, still not moving much, but chirped quietly. George frowned.
"Oh right... Kakuna can't eat..." he muttered, the wind being taken out of his wings a tad.
I can still hail the Horde even though the company has shamed us. Strength and Honor even if Blizzard has neither."Attagirl!" Phillip calls out to Euca as she bowls through the Seedot. However, he starts to worry about how many more seem to be coming out of the bushes.
It's almost as if-, Phillip thinks. His thought is interrupted by the answer leaping out after it's surprise attack on Hiss.
The humanoid Pokemon looks very much like one that could be a higher-stage evolution of Seedot. It seems quite like the leader of this swarm of Seedot. But, Phillip's brain short-circuits in it's focus on a particular bit of Alolan culture when he sees this Pokemon.
"It's a Totem!" Phillip blurts out. "Pokedex, scan it! Euca, Rollout at the, the bigger stompy!"
"Mala!", Euca responds, tilting her increasingly faster-spinning form to the humanoid's right-hand side.

Adela - Route 1 - Active Pokémon: Spike the Munchlax - VS wild Seedot and a new foe?
Spike retracted his tongue as a concentrated slash of wind knocked Hiss down. He stepped back towards Adela, whose eyes had whipped towards the bushes where the wind came from. It came as little surprise to her that it turned out to be a Pokémon's attack. The Seedot army at its feet were each half the newcomer's size; judging by its bitter expression, this was their commander of sorts, and it didn't take well to its troops being disturbed.
Adela, not sure what to make of Phillip accusing the Pokémon of being a Totem, nevertheless gave her next order. She decided to take a risk considering the size of the new threat. If successful, it might just give Ariel, Joe and their Pokémon some breathing space.
"Spike, Metronome," she called out. "Try to target the bigger Pokémon."
Spike lifted his paw in front of his face, waggling one of his tiny fingers in a rhythm as if scrolling through an imaginary list. A sudden surge of mental energy stimulated him into using a random move.

"Hark! For your greatest fears manifest in yours truly!" (She/Her) (Current focus: Image Pickin')Betata City Gym, Jacques.
The trainer absent-minded nodded in agreement, a bit distracted by the fight and planning out strategy that it took a few whacks of Aqua's tail to snap the newbie trainer out of it and realize that it'd concluded, with the trio from their group being victorious.
"Oh, um, tres bien...? F-Felicitations and...y-yeah." Jacques was a little lost for words on what to say and clapped his hands for Flint, Hyde and George, trying to focus back to reality and being stuck thinking and worrying about the fights ahead and trying to coordinate with others.
On the other hand, the aquatic mouse was a lot more eager to fight and show off.
Hope you weren't expecting anything witty here. Maybe some day.

Ariel smiled and bowed gently.
"It's nice to meet you, Adela," Ariel greeted. "The Professor gave me a Krabby and I caught a Cutiefly on this route yesterday. Was driven back to Aleph Town by some pretty nasty wild Pokemon," she admitted.
"Nice to meet you too," Joe said. "I got an Ekans from the Professor, but I caught a Wurmple. Same thing as Ariel. Speaking of which, are we almost to Betata City?" he asked. Ariel glanced over at Adela's Poketch screen, narrowing her eyes, then nodded.
"Betata City can't be far now. Shall we get a move on?" Ariel asked.
Zullie once again fired a beam of confusing energy at one of the enemy Pokemon, this time at Gligar. Gligar's eyes widened and it looked around frantically. Jonas furrowed his brow, but Hawke, frowned and nodded.
"Gligar, fly into the air!" Jonas shouted, and Gligar started to ascend in a confused twirl, but Nabe tossed rocks into the air to slam down above it. Gligar was pounded down to the ground by the Rock Tomb attack, and it hissed, looking very weak.
"Now's your chance, Crusher! Use Quick Attack!" George commanded. Crusher made a quick dash in the direction of Gligar. Sarah grinned at Adrian when he called out in support of Crusher.
"CRUSHER! CRUSHER! CRUSHER!" Sarah chanted, and soon the crowd began to follow her lead. Chelsea did not join in, she looked too indignant to respond.
"AERIAL ACE!" Jonas commanded sharply, and the two Pokemon clashed in midair. Gligar and Crusher landed onto the ground, both looking woozy. Then after a tense moment, both Crusher and Jonas' Gligar fell to the ground. The referee raised two flags.
"Gligar and Pinsir are both unable to battle!" the referee said. The stands erupted into gasps, then cheers. Jonas and George both recalled their Pokemon, stepping back.
"You did amazing, Crusher!" George whispered to his Poke Ball. When Crusher fainted, Chelsea smirked.
"Told you he'd faint," she pointedly said to Adrian.
Hawke smirked, nodding at the crowd approvingly.
"You're all strong battlers. It seems I'm all alone at this point. It's time to take this to the next level. Corvisquire!" he exclaimed. Corvisquire perked up, still looking confused.
"Use Power Trip on that Misdreavus! It's done quite enough!" Hawke commanded, pointing directly at Zullie. Corvisquire seemed to snap out of its confusion, then grew angry and flapped wildly. It then zipped in the direction of Hyde's Misdreavus and slammed into her with great force, which seemed to be amplified by how it had honed its claws earlier.

I can still hail the Horde even though the company has shamed us. Strength and Honor even if Blizzard has neither.
