I need to get back to the first season of Bofuri, I never finished it because I wanted to wait for the dub... but it was early pandemic, so the dub came VERY late, so I just never got around to finishing it.
Notes:
- Ayakashi Triangle, Onimai, and Reborn to Master the Blade are all genderbenders. I'd say Ayakashi Triangle is the only one that dabbles in transfetishism, but Onimai looks significantly sexed-up from the manga
- Kaina is not related to Aposimz. Nihei was just working on two stories about frozen wastelands at the same time
- Tomo-chan Is a Girl is my bet for the being the season's main source of Discourse. ...I'm with the haters on this one
- The production values of the various LN adaptions scales pretty closely to the actual quality of the story. Though I feel like Roukin 8 and Strongest Exorcist should have been swapped
- Nokemono is not, in fact, a monster-fucker romance. It's one of those gothic action series clearly written by and for females but still runs in a shounen mag
Sometimes those are the best kind (on Nokemono).
Having read the L Ns, I'm really looking forward to the adaptation of Magical Revolution of the Reincarnated Princess.
From what I've read so far that story is definitely a step-up for the isekai genre, and the relationship is between the lead girls is very good. I also like the twist on the whole "denouncing and publicly humiliating the villainess" trope that starts the whole series. Although, just in case anyone gets the wrong idea, the main character has not been reincarnated as the villainess.
"If you are going through hell, keep going." - Winston ChurchillHas anyone heard anything about Hikari no Ou? It actually sounds fairly creative.
It's been fun.Nothing says it's BL-themed. It can be, but it is pitched as normal buddy show for now. No need to exaggerate.
Oh, c'mon. You'd have to be deliberately ignorant of anime marketing not to gather that a show called 'Buddy Daddies' about two handsome men raising a daughter together might be just a teensy bit gay.
What's precedent ever done for us?Noooo not the golfing lesbians
People speculate it is because animation supervisor and most of the key animators got more busy with Iruma S3 than they hoped. Which is a bit odd as Iruma never stroke me as something sakuga-heavy.

Current arc in Iruma looks shounen battle heavy, so there may an extra need for sakuga.
Well the next two arc is pretty cinematic. The forest arc is very battle heavy while the musical arc is very spectacular
E.T technically is a Isekai movie
Can I say fantasy slave stories are still terrible when gender swapped?
We need more MCs doing what Shisho did

What are the odds we get Shield Hero season 3 this winter?
GIVE ME YOUR FACESugar apple fairytale is, uh, weird, it doesn't glorify the slavery but it kind of oscillates between treating it with severity and thinking the MC simply promising to let the main dude go once he'd safely escorted her and trying to be his friend on the way is enough to make everything fine. In a similar vein a character steals the MC's contest prize as well as everything she traveled with, pours animal blood on her so that wolves can attack all this after spending their time together pretending to care about her and then when she meets him she just punches him once and says she's satisfied as he didn't do much MUCH worse than that to her
I absolutely cannot help but adore handsome 2D boysMore isekai. Why is this season so damn large?
I really can't grasp why this entire genre is built around spending the first chapter making sure there will never be any meaningful conflict.
It's been fun.Remember this genre is mainly a power fantasy for cubicle office worker types that just want to goof off.
Ironically, similar works are super popular in former USSR also. Just with older M Cs normally and rarelly harem.
Remember Technoroid Overmind? It's happening now
Anime never stops
A big season. Both in the sense that there's a lot of shows, and in that there's a good number of big names in there
