This is a thread for Nvidia GPU users, whether they're gamers, 3D model makers, or something else.

Now that the GeForce 40 series is coming out tomorrow, what do fellow Nvidia fans on this site think of it? Do you want to get it or plan to stick to your current card for a while? Why/why not? Hyped for DLSS 3/3rd gen raytracing/other features?

For the record, I plan to stick to the RTX 3070. So far it manages to work very fast and efficiently with two 1440p monitors and can comfortably run Yakuza 0 at Ultra settings and 165FPS. In the past I've had a GTX 970M, which was dreadful and could hardly run most current 3D games.

Any Nvidia users? I managed to run even Forza Horizon 4 at 1440p 165FPS (but I have to drop the graphical quality setting to high and the game's prone to crashing for mostly unrelated reasons), also Sonic Frontiers runs at 60FPS at almost max settings (there's still pop-in, but that's the game's fault for having a low maximum draw distance option and the performance certainly wouldn't drop if it were higher)...

I know an RTX 3070 sounds like a lot, but I am interested in hearing the thoughts and experiences of anyone with an Nvidia GPU. Nobody's going to look down upon someone for having a GTX 750 for instance (and if they do, they will be reported to the moderators). Besides, my GTX 970M might have not worked well due to other components (for one, my CPU was an i5-6300HQ and I only had 8GB RAM), and I still got it to run stuff like Danganronpa V3: Killing Harmony at 1080p 60FPS.

Also, I know the RTX 4090 had melting issues, but that is due to a user error when connecting cables. If you don't insert the cable completely, it will probably end up melting, but it should likely be safe if you do. Compare these pics: wrong, correct

I'm pretty sure laptops come with GPUs. Nvidia has a line of cards specifically for them, so it should probably be possible to find a cheap enough laptop with one (mine also costed about 800$). Benchmark comparison between 1070 and 1070 Mobile

An update for the Nvidia Game Ready driver has released yesterday (526.98), adding support for RTX 4080 and some other changes. I really hope the driver bug that causes Forza Horizon 4 to crash will be fixed someday. Maybe this is it, but who knows.

I think it should provide a good experience for less demanding games. Stuff like Persona 5 Royal should easily hit 60FPS.

Benchmark in comparison to 970M. The 1650 is approximately 30% better.

That's great to hear. For the record, I don't use User Benchmark for CPUs because of their known bias towards Intel (look up "userbenchmark ryzen", though I use Intel processors because they work well for what I need), but I haven't heard about any problems regarding them and GPUs.

Another update has been released (527.37). It doesn't solve Forza Horizon 4 issues, but they know now and are willing to fix it.
