Yes!

Did you know that Halloween is an example of what anthropologists call an "inversion holiday", when social norms and expectations are allowed to be ritually broken or reversed? Mardi Gras and (to a lesser extent) April Fool's Day are also on the very short list of such holidays which are widely recognised in the modern world.

Did you know that if you sleep on your back, you get more scary or intense dreams. If you sleep on your side you get more positive dreams. And if you sleep on your stomach, you usually get more erotic dreams.

Sweet dreams.

Did you know that, up until the peak of the production of fanart by Avatar fans, the creators didn't know what "shipping" was, and would constantly disregard requests by fans to ship characters as they thought it referred to actual ships?

Not specifically, but it does make sense. Avatar is almost 20 years old. Those terms weren't as widespread back then.

(I assume you're referring to the Avatar of The Last Airbender variety. I don't know how shippable the movie was.)

Did you know that the majority of power plants in use are basically giant kettles? No matter if it's coal, oil, or uranium, all of them are used to boil water to produce steam, which in turn rotates a turbine connected to a generator that produces electricity.

Nothing seems to have changed. But perhaps one day it will.
