False. He does sing “you’ve been hit by” twice in the first verse, but sings “you’ve been hit by, you’ve been struck by” in the second verse. Full lyrics here.

Did you know that the Pokémon Snorlax’s origin can at least partially be traced back to Kirby? Its Japanese name is Kabigon, derived from Kirby, which was also the nickname given to its main inspiration, Game Freak employee Koji Nishino, due to his large appetite. (source)

I didn’t know who invented cheese, so yes by technicality.

Did you know that South Park has implied that it and The Simpsons take place in a Shared Universe on two separate occasions? In the Season 10 episode "Cartoon Wars: Part 2", Cartman and Bart team up to cancelFamily Guy and "The Problem with a Poo" ends with Mr. Hankey moving to Springfield. The fact that Trey Parker and Matt Stone are friends with Matt Groening may be the cause of this.

SKREEEEEEEONK!

I think I heard about that before.

Regarding my Smooth Criminal fact, I swear it's actually true! I know, I was caught off guard too when I first heard about it, but if you listen to the actual song, you'll hear that he never sings "you've been struck by". I don't know where those lyrics came from, or if there's a different cut of the song where he does sing it. But the fact remains that he never sings it in the original song.

[down]Well, there you have it. I didn't know about that, my bad.

Did you know that the infamous "I am Error" line from Zelda 2 wasn't a translation error? That's actually supposed to be his name.

Did you know about the Mid Night Club, an infamous gang of street racers that influenced Japan's illegal racing scene in the 80's and 90's?

Far from drifting around mountain roads like in Initial D, Mid Night Club members would tune their cars for incredible speeds. Tokyo's Wangan highway was their stomping grounds. They also had incredibly strict admission standards; only a handful of their "trainees" graduate to full members. There's even a story about a poser who put a Mid Night Club sticker on his car, only to find his ride trashed the very next day.

The group was disbanded after a member was involved in a fatal accident, but their infamy lives on, inspiring works such as Wangan Midnight, Midnight Club, and Tokyo Xtreme Racer.
