Imagine it; you're scrolling around late at night letting this wiki ruin your life some more when you discover a page you've never heard of before. Not unheard of on a wiki this big, but there are some things that have become really hard to access over the years, either due to being depreciated, missing good navigation links, being shoved into Darth or Sugar, or what have you. Have you made any fun discoveries? Share them here so we can get more awareness about these cool pages people don't know about before!
OK so for my first post Imma cheat and plug this silly ass glitch thread
. It's a bizarre hodgepodge of posts from all around the site, and as far as I know you can only get there on mobile through this glitch
if you don't have a direct link. It's neat, really... TVT has its very own Glitch Dimension!
The posting dates are misaligned in that thread. Is this the result of the Skullfucking incident Parable mentioned?
No clue. It's really just a bizarre mess now, and I appreciate it for that.

To sum it up:
1) Forums have a hangout thread.
2) Someone spams an emoticon to the point that it crashes browsers trying to load the thread.
3) Deleting posts manually would take too long, mods decide to delete the whole section of the thread using what was known as "skullfucking".
4) Only replace one problem with another because with so many posts gone (not blanked, actually gone from database) the thread's timestamps go screwy so that new posts appear somewhere in the middle of it.
5) Whole thread is deleted and "skullfucking" is no longer used.
But to answer the question, no. Posts are from 2015 or 2021, long after the incident. But I wonder how this odd selection was chosen by the server.
Stories don't tell us monsters exist; we knew that already. They show us that monsters can be trademarked and milked for years.I wonder why it picked so many pantheon thread posts. Or why the one of the green and red Yu-Gi-Oh! guy is repeated six times.
"Total posts: 1"
Yeah, it's pretty bizarrely neat—
As for why Yuya Sakaki shows up so many times… I'm guessing it wanted to invoke Number of the Beast in some way (even if with two less 6s?

The amount of obscure/not well liked works that are loaded with miuses and ZCEs is kind of impressive.
I've discovered so many obscure works thanks to wick checks, tbh.
"Grandmaster Combat, son!"![]()
I remember the first time I found that, being very confused what was going on.
I've realized the existence of numerous obscure webcomics as a direct result of this wiki.
On a more specific note, I discovered a fanfic called The Pokémon Squad from the Smoking Is Cool page that mostly drew me in because back then, I was a dumb teen who thought the idea of Barney or Elmo doing drugs (even legal ones) was hilarious. I was actually pleasantly surprised once I actually read an episode.
He/they | Mostly here on my free daysThis page.
I still don't really know if this was ever meant to be a real thing, or why it was on the Darth Wiki.
It's an unpublished work page; Darth is just where they go.
A really bad unpublished work page, but...
Working on: Author Appeal | Sandbox | Troper WallOne time I found a page for a Danganronpa roleplay by clicking Random Media. The main page was completely empty except for one blank bullet point. The characters page was half filled-in and half not; some characters has bios and tropes, some just had bios, some just had tropes, some had neither. I found it in 2022 and it had last been edited in 2017.
When people say the Roleplay namespace is a mess, they really mean it.
WebVideo.Googlebrains, a work page that for some reason also has SugarWiki and DarthWiki versions.

I always wondered what was up with that. Was Googlebrains a Troper creator like Manwithoutabody? Someone with whom the early wiki was obsessed enough to warrant not one, but TWO JFF pages? These pages confuse me.
No need to blame the whole wiki; it was a single troper who made both pages, presumably because they wanted to.
Working on: Author Appeal | Sandbox | Troper WallSpeaking of Manwithoutabody, he used to have a Web Video-namespaced page on This Very Wiki, and from digging through old forum posts, he seemed to be quite a celebrity on the site. And then he just kind of disappeared without a trace, and nobody knows what happened to him.
What I found funny about convos regarding him, in the Retsupurae thread, there was a short discourse on Ken "ForeverPandering" Ashcorp's take on their style (in that semi-famous, now-deleted MST of iJustine's infamously bad Let's Play of Portal 2). Several tropers said "He's just basically Manwithoutabody, but less talented". Words can't describe how badly that statement aged

You keep using the term "POV". I do not think it means what you think it means.I've discovered so many obscure works thanks to wick checks, tbh.
Yeah, there are definitely certain kind of works where this is common. Obscure web comics, indie films, generally things where only only a few tropers have ever seen the work and felt the need to make or edit an article about it. Then it sits for years until someone notices it and blocks out a bunch of the example and such.
I've definitely fixed up a few of those articles over the years.

| Wandering, but not lost. | If people bring so much courage to this world...◊ |I find it interesting how most Tropers don't really give much attention to the Pitch Generator or Story Generator. A shame really, because those things are a triumph.

Oh man I forgot that I wanted to use those, thanks for reminding me!
Time to put that idea on the backburner again for when I'm not occupied.
