Igno - Earth 11945, Forest Kingdom

"Damn, that sucks...!" Igno says with a small nod, the captain's tale of the white-headed android attacking them with no apparent reason somewhat reminding him of Skyrim's Falmer, a once prosperous race that was driven underground and slowly turned into mindless savages over the millenia.

"As for me, I'm just looking for food, really." He explains with a shrug, "We fleshy people got to eat every now and then, and there's quite a few of us outside the forest, like... At least a dozen! I suppose you guys don't exactly need that sort of stuff, and therefore don't produce or have some of it lying around...?"

Conan - Eastern Ruins, Center

Conan let out a grunt as his attempt to strike at Ridley was interrupted by the reptilian beast batting him away, causing the northen warrior to land on the stone ground. But no matter the pain which may ripple through his mighty frame, this would not stop the fierce human from standing back up, swords clenched in his fingers to continue the fight! Like a panther, he would imediatly plunge towards the continuing brawl while the walking pile of rocks grabbed the violet villain.

Then, his blue eyes widened at a most striking spectacle: the purple miscreant's appendages with its immense strength alone, bringing forth both bleeding and utter rage from their shared foe. He couldn't ask for a better opportunity to attack as the hubristic pirate was far too blinded by anger to notice anything else than the culprit for his dismemberment. And so Conan would strike, trying to stab the beast right in the back with a powerful leap!

Eastern Ruins, Northwest

"Like I said, I got here about an hour ago. Me and a bunch of other people woke up on a hill. We all came from different universes. A couple of them are still around here. They're fighting some monsters in the distance- oh, and I think they just beat one? Something roared, then crashed, then went quiet."

Makura tilted her head, and appeared to be straining her ears. "Yeah, I think they beat one of the monsters, but the other one's still up. Only a matter of time, though. Those guys all looked pretty strong."

Eastern Ruins, Center

The beast was felled. Its corpse collapsed, and not long after a crimson blade slashed its way free of Kraid's mouth.

Stained with the monster's blood and saliva, Yoriichi stepped out, unharried by the ordeal. It was not pleasant, by any means, but he was not severely wounded.

Taking a deep breath, he turned his gaze to where the others had been fighting, still sensing the hatred of the dragon-demon in the distance.

He crossed the distance quickly, and took stock of the situation. The monster was attempting to kill the stone man from before. Said stone man was grievously injured - though his internal body was different from a person, Yoriichi could tell his chest wound was not pleasant - but the dragon had lost his tail,

The warrior from the west had already leaped to attack. Not wanting to risk striking an ally in the mayhem, Yoriichi circled around to protect the injured, putting on a burst of speed to appear between Link and Ridley while Conan distracted the monster.

His blade was raised, and his eyes seemed to look through Ridley, taking into account the slightest twitching of every muscle to predict his enemy's next move.

The instant he saw an opening, Yoriichi would lash out with a killing strike.

Pyra, Ordon Village: At Least Pyra Has Chicken

Of course, Pyra would believe this "Purah" lady since she has almost no knowledge of either version of Hyrule. She would also not ask about the monsters, given Robbie's presence and his sword would be proof that she's in capable hands. She answers Purah's question, "We're here to rest for a while. We were trying to find the owner of some giant birds that ended up on one of our friend's property."

She looked back at Rusl's house and back to the duo, "You're welcome to help us out if you like."

Leif, Karakucho, Tokyo: To Quote Another Certain Group of Teenagers (And their Animal Friend)...

While Leif has heard of all sorts of sights and sounds of the Termite Kingdom to the south, he never went there, but if he could imagine what it's like, the district of Karakucho would likely fit the bill. All sorts of shops, diners, walk-ins, and dives, some that look native here and others foreign had filled his sight. In a way, it's almost overwhelming, but with a look to the others brought him back to reality.

The idea the black-haired girl proposed was a decent idea, so he had no objections there, "We're fine with whoever."

Perhaps the presence of a tall figure in blue could help ward off any potential thieves and crooks from engaging in a fight with them. If not, he could always just freeze them solid.

Athena, Mai, & Yuri, The Hill to Castelia City

"I'm psychic, too!" Athena nodded to Matt. Eventually, Mai, Yuri, and her would follow Matt and the others to Castelia City. They also let Matt the Mew take the lead in regards to the guards, which looked like creatures that none of the three fighters wanted to try to take on.

Once they were in the city proper, Hewkii and Reisen pointed out the fights that this place had set up.

"Oh, this place has fights, too!" Yuri said as she looked at the posters.

"If the fighters are anything like the dragon and kaiju we met earlier, we are outclassed for these types of fights," Athena explained to Mai and Yuri, referring to the Gyarados and Tyranitar who was guarding the city. "That said, the others are right... We woke up at that nearby hill with nothing but the clothes on our backs. We were deciding where exactly we should go when Matt here showed up at the Hill."

Master Librarian, Long Library, Castlevania

"Hmm," The Master Librarian considered the choices and smiled at Quiet Robe. "If what you have made is more advanced than Frankenstein's Monster, I see no reason for have you study his work on the subject. And those who use magic need to either be born with the gift or steal it from another."

"Alchemy on the other hand..." The Master Librarian looked over at the guards. "That could possibly integrate well with your technology, and it merely requires an educated and open mind to learn."

"Tell me," The Master Librarian looked back at Quiet Robe. "Do you have some lab of your own?"

Eastern Ruins, North-Northwest

To see such greenery in abundance wad almost uncanny to someone who grew up in the shadow of high rise skeletons and cracked pavement. Doubly so where the sounds were natural and calming, without the rattling of debris and the crunch of steel feet stalking through the land of the half-dead.

No one truly lived in the city she grew up in after a certain point, merely survived and put off the inevitable.

And yet... despite the alien sensations, such was a balm upon her wearied soul that was much too young to feel such weight. For the briefest of moments, the Construct allowed her higher thoughts to cease even as the soul soaked in ambient nature.

Such was fleeting when music was made out and the eyes snapped open, legs moving with purpose towards the source in question- a pair of near identical siblings that seemed split between cheerful flightiness and more grounded worriwart..

A dozen possible scenarios played out in her head as to how to respond before a more clear-cut choice was made, that of straightforward and blunt honesty.

"Whatever model a Type B is,I'm not that. Just an independent Construct is all. If you dont know such then you aren't native to where I come from."

There was no need for aggression of the physical variety since no hostility was displayed. But neither did the two receive anything more than brusque correction of terms because Alpha had went for a while without decent human character to influence her.

Though... hidden far beneath her staid exterior, the spark of appeasement was had at the compliment at her color scheme. She had spent a while putting an acceptable enough outfit together scrounge from abandoned habitats she's explored after Babylon let her down to the point of defection.

A single content huff was let out here despite unchanging face and then...

"...tell me why you thought I could have been malfunctioning just by first impressions alone."

If anything, that was a particular sticking point of interest given her own native experiences with mechanical beings that lost their reasoning from the Punishing Virus. Did these two come from a world with similar parallelism?

Ponyville Twilight's castle

Twilight Sparkle, the princess of friendship, and her closest friends at the moment in which they and their town were dragged into a different dimension against their will, were holding a meeting in which They were discussing the schedule for the next semester at the school of friendship, they were all sitting around the map table that showed all of equestria when suddenly they drop asleep at the same time as well as every living thing in ponyville and the everfree forest, my the time they woke up they all got up groaning in confusion, and that confusion only got worse as they saw the map again and saw it had almost completely changed, Ponyville and it's creepy forest remain but there was nothing they recognized around it, but a bunch of other strange lands nopony knew.

The ponies and other creatures that were outside were feeling really confused as they woke up in public and then realized there somehow were new cities in the distance.

Twilight Sparkle quickly took care of the situation, she come out of the castle alongside her group and while using her magic to increase the sound of her voice requested everyone to remain calm and stay at home while they investigated what had happened.

She and her friends agreed that they would each investigate one of the places that suddenly appeared to try to discover what is happening and report with their magic instant messages books whatever they discover there.

Each of the ponies, and dragon, will be going with a companion in each of their location, Fluttershy, the kind but timid Pegasus, will go to the rural place which seems strangely designed like the environment of bugs, she will go alongside Bruce, a manticore, a lion with bat wings and a scorpion tail, she's so good at befriended animals that she has no trouble convincing such a fearsome beast to work as her bodyguard and she can keep him in check so he doesn't attack anyone without having to, they both can fly so they were able to avoid the dangerous forest by just flying above it, Fluttershy was planning to visit the placce that looked like a big bee hive first, she was guessing it would be a beekepping place and she couldn't resist the desire to make new animal friends.

Starlight Glimmer was actually going to bring her childhood friend Sunburst with her but then Trixie looked at her with puppy dog eyes and she couldn't say no to her, she concentrate her magic for a considerable amount of time since she was transporting her and trixie pretty far away, this would likely leave3 her unable to teleport for half an hour at least, by the time the unicorn pair puff out and in of reality they would be in the middle of a busy street of Area 11.

Rarity took just as long to prepare for her journey, not because she teleported but becouse she made sure to bring half her wardrope which nedded around 20 king sizes suitcases to be carried around at least, luckily she had a big wagon and a pony strong and willing to carry, a huge muscular pegasus called big biceps, her wings were ridiculously small, even smaller than a baby pegasus wings, but even more ridiculous than that was the fact that he could somehow still fly with them, Rarity laid on the wagon while bulk biceps carry it through the bridge to manhattan happy to serve such a pretty pony and show off his muscles at the same time.

Twilight was unsure about sending spike, he was a dragon sure but he was still a baby, she was only convinced to let him go thanks to the fact that Ember, the dragon lord, was visiting town and was willing to acompany him, and even then she made sure to send him to the nearbiest territory, the strange floating island that was currently hanging above ponyville, they were used to floating cities, but only if they were on clouds, so she was guessing it most be some kind of flying vessel rather than a city.

Applejack made sure to bring with her the strongest family member she had, her big brother Big mactintosh, they were both earth ponies so they didn't had anything fancy like flying or magic but they had the strenght to match most beasts so they were sure they could take on the desert the were on the east side of ponyville.

Rainbow dash bringed a fellow wonderbolt with her, Spitfire the current captain of the most elite team of fliers in equestria, taking advantage they determined to visit one of the farthest points on the new map and ended up in the middle of a big field they didn't knew was from an ancient kingdom called Hyrule.

Pinkie Pie bringed with her a family member like applejack, her semmengly emotionless sister Maud, they were total oposites but still loved and cared for each other greatly so it was actually Maud who demanded to go with her to make sure she wouldn't be harm, she doesn't seem like much but she's probably the strongest earth pony there was and that was impressing considering how mighty some of them could be, pinkie was supposed to go to the nearby ruins but seeing the awesome theme park beyond made her decide to explore there first taking advantage of her party canon to literally shoot herself and her sister into the amusement park skipping over the boring ruins, she managed to carry the canon alongside with her even after being shoot thanks to tying it with a rope around her, despite all logic dictating otherwise, when she arrived to the park her fall wasn't a violent crash but a slow descend, like a baloon running out of helium slowly, with Maud hanging for dear life by holding on her illogical sister.

Unknown to anyone their old nemesis Chrysalis, the Ex queen of the Changelings, was infiltrating ponyville looking for a moment to strike at her hated enemies, while desguised as a common pony, the moment she realized that they all were now somehow transported to a new world, her first instinct was to explore this new land in hopes of finding any strong magic or weapon she could use to destroy that wretched sparkle and her annoying friends, maybe she could make some allies that she will backstab the instant they are no longer useful to her, she will have to wait and see, she transformed into an eagle and flew towards the furthest away city to the east which was known as Domino city by their residents.

Outskirts of Ponyville, a Ditzy gretting.

As the explorers of Sky palece arrived to the land of ponyville a equine creature fell in front of them, she was a grey pegasus with a messy blonde hair and colorful bubbles painted on her flank, she fell to the ground as she fell asleep in the middle of the air, the impact woke her up but did no real damage, her body was used to crashes, the strange creature fell with her head down and her legs contorted in front of her face looking directly at the sky people, her golden eyes were looking in totally different directions, most would assume for the fall but that's how she normally looked at things.

She got up and wave in a friendly way to the men but she didn't saw them anymore and that's because she was looking in the oposite direction as she got up, she looked around confused until she saw them again and then pointed at them excitedly like a five year old that just found the nose their parent hide from them "hello, I'm Derpy Hooves, who and what're you?" she asked in a sweet bubbly tone, the creature was certainly able to speak, but that seemed to make it very intelligent.

Ponyville Outskirts

Needless to say, this new landscape looked much livelier than the previous one they'd attempted to visit, and it left the group in higher spirits, with even the Angel looking to be relaxing ever so slightly. During their march, which was less of a march and more of a casual walk, the appearance of what had to be one of the natives had the group come to a halt. Before any sort of proper introduction could be had, however, Taia was the first to break ranks.

The reason for this? The blue skinned girl just couldn't contain herself, and she'd ended up glomping the pony, overtaken by how cute it was. While her fellow Champions regarded this sight with obvious amusement, with both smiles and snorts of laughter, their leader looked appalled at this break in decorum.

"Taia! What in Heaven's name are you doing?! That is a thinking creature, you musn't invade its personal space like that!" The cherub said in a shocked voice, and when the others just laughed harder, he weathered them with his best stern visage. "Don't just stand there, do something! She's risking our good graces with the creature's people by acting like this!"

"You've gotta admit, this is pretty darn cute." Alonso replied, making it clear he had no intent on breaking the two up unless Derpy herself asked for aid, and much to the Angel's chagrin, most of the party was siding with him in this matter. Fortunately, it was the swordswoman who had the Angel's back as she spoke up next.

"That may be, but still, the Angel has a valid point. Taia, ease up on her, if you would." Migrana said, addressing the blue girl even if she couldn't help the smile on her face. Thankfully for all involved, Taia did ease up on her grip, even if she was still holding onto the pegasus.

Eastern Ruins, Center

With the same sound as before, Starrk, the gunslinger who had whisked Yoriichi and the others away to the rooftop earlier appeared beside the fallen Goron - or rather, appeared to Yoriichi, Link, and Tatl. It was unlikely that Ridley's sixth sense was strong enough to see or hear the eyepatched man, and Conan was a question mark in that regard. Either way, Starrk stooped to easily pick up the transformed Hero of Time, and with a parting "Good work", vanished again along with his new cargo.

Meanwhile, a previously indecisive Amako finally dove down from the adjacent rooftop toward Ridley with a powerful howl, body turning swiftly enough along with her chakram-like flaming disc that she was essentially transformed into a firey, vertical humanoid buzzsaw.

Simultaneously, over with Wulfrik, the 'flaming eye' flickering in the shadows of the building didn't move. "If you wish to make a strategic withdrawal, I will not pursue you, Wulfrik the Wanderer," it offered calmly. "I dislike unnecessary bloodshed. However, if you return to this area of these ruins, then I will kill you next time."

Eastern Ruins, North-Northwest -> Northwest

"Oh! Well, if you're from a different universe, you wouldn't know it, but basically... thousands of years ago, our planet was invaded by aliens, and they deployed their Machine Lifeforms, robots different from androids like us, in battle," Popola began explaining. "We've been fighting them ever since, although we recently found out that the Machines had killed their masters long ago and were continuing to fight us out of their own will. Anyway, as part of the war, the Machines developed a rapidly-evolving electronic Logic Virus that causes violent insanity in those it infects, as well as turning their eyes red. They're still making use of it to this day, so even though temporary vaccines have been developed, we always have to be cautious of it whenever we're treating our wounded android comrades."

"Anyway, I... misjudged you," Devola admitted reluctantly. "Sorry. Obviously you're not infected with a Logic Virus, or you'd be trying to kill us right now."

"Is that girl on your back wounded or disabled in some way?" Popola asked, tilting her head. "We may not be familiar with your particular models, but Sis and I are healers and have very good scanning capabilities, so we could try and work our magic anyway, if she needs—"

"NEL! THIS KID NEEDS TRIAGE, NOW!"

"Oh! It sounds like we're needed over there, Devola!" the straight-haired sister said, straightening up, then rising to stand and dusting herself off.

"Yep, sounds like it, Popola..." her messy-haired sibling agreed with a sigh, rising to her feet as well and stowing the lute on her back.

"You're welcome to come with us if you like, especially if you or your friend need healing as well!" Popola offered as the pink sisters holstered their swords on their belts. "It's just that apparently this other person needs triage, so that seems like a more urgent situation... Well, off we go!"

Side by side, the twin androids hurried down the way and around the corner, continuing on through the heavy vegetation until they reached...

"I've been out and about for about half an hour now, although it's only in the last ten minutes or so that I came across Makura, here," Nel answered with a shrug, continuing to load her basket up with fruit. "Although, yes, that mansion and the area around it are off-limits for the reasons you evidently saw for yoursel—"

She was interrupted by the sudden arrival of a large, rocky mass that soon became apparent as a green-capped person, laid carefully on the ground nearby by one Coyote Starrk, though whether the latter was visible to those gathered other than Nel would depend on their particular spiritual sensitivity. The same qualifier went for his shout:

"NEL! THIS KID NEEDS TRIAGE, NOW!"

The green-haired woman paled, and quickly dashed over to kneel beside Link. "This is a child?" she questioned as she leaned into examine the wounds, not touching any of the injured areas just yet.

"I saw him transform from a pointy-eared kid less than a meter tall into this thing, using some kind of mask," Starrk explained quickly. "The fairy might know more."

"Who?"

The gunslinger replied by whipping off Link's hat to reveal Tatl, whom he'd unceremoniously snatched from midair and shoved beneath the headwear earlier.

"Oh. Anyway, I take it this means that if he transforms back, this... tail is still going to be stuck in him? And when his body is smaller, removing it would probably be lethal?"

"That's about what I figure," Starrk confirmed. "Can you save him?"

She contemplated for a couple moments, then bit her lip. "I can heal the gashes and the other external wounds, but as for his internals..."

"Shit!"

"Excuse us! We heard someone needed triage? Sis and I are healers!" a cheerful voice interjected. The pair of ruin guardians look up from Link to see Popola with her hand raised in a casual wave, Devola standing a little behind her and giving the rest of those gathered a side-eyed gaze.

Nodding without hesitation, Nel beckoned the pair of pinkettes over, and quickly summarized what she'd just gone over with Starrk.

"This is important, so just to make sure: he seemed human aside from the pointed ears?" Popola asked the eyepatched man, kneeling opposite Nel.

"Yeah."

"Good, then it shouldn't be an issue. Sis and I just need to have him in that form before we heal him, since we only know how to heal Earth animals, robots, and things that are close to humans. So, we remove the tail first, then we transform him back, then we fix him up! Easy-peasy!"

"As long as you're sure..."

"We're sure," Devola confirmed, sitting in seiza behind Link and pulling his head into her lap.

"Hear that, Kid?" the messy-haired android said, trying to catch his eyes, which were probably unfocused with pain, with her own as she gently cupped his face. "You're gonna be alright in just a little while, we promise!"

Quiet Robe politely grinned at the Master Librarian. Normally, the Chozo scholar would have certainly been very excited about the subject (as much as an old, humble Chozo could be excited anyway), but he was fully aware that his work would serve Raven Beak and his newfound allies.

It's not like he could do much about it... yet. And as long as he could study the subject for his own entertainment, he wouldn't mind.

"I am afraid I don't. The facilities I worked within have stayed on the Mawkin's planet." Quiet Robe truthfully answered.

Eastern Ruins

Sadly for Ridley, his plans to open up Link like one would crack a nut open fell short, with Yamako, Conan, and Yoriichi joining the fray and ruining everything.

And it's not like he could had the time to finish off the damn brat. As the beast turned around to face the trio, Starrk had all the time to get the wounded Hero to safety.

With a rageful screech, Ridley brandished his wings and evaded the attacks. High up in the air, the dragon stared down at the group, enraged to see that his prey had vanished.

Behind him, the others would see the other pirates' ships wisely flying away, lacking their leader's bloodlust. One of them had to likely retrieve Kraid as well. Ridley stared at the ships, infuriated.

Though blood was pouring from where his tail was, Ridley did not lose an ounce of his vigor. A testimony of just how durable the monster was.

"...This isn't over. You won't stop me. Nothing can."    he furiously swore. The team may have repelled Ridley from the ruins, but he wasn't done with this world yet.

And with one last spiteful attack, a huge Plasma Beam he fired at the group and some random buildings here and there, Ridley flew away in the distance, having no regard for Wulfrik. The idiots could very well gang up on him and decapitate that useless piece of garbage for all he knew. If Ridley was going to even start to care for his allies, they'll have to be useful to him first.

Manhattan, City Hall

“It’s certainly true that they appear to be in an earlier stage of their technological development,” the Rayquaza agreed with Norman. “But I think dismissing the possibility of communication out of hand would be a mistake. At the very least, I would give consideration to sending a representative you trust, if you do not wish to make a personal appearance.”

“Well,” Lucia replied. “The most notable thing is that while the majority of Anor Londo’s inhabitants appear to be human knights, some of them I caught a glimpse of were distinctly not. Demons, undead, and giants can be counted among their number as well. I know you are just getting used to nonhumans in general, so that is something to keep in mind. Also, Gwyndolin and his sister Gwynevere are both figures you should afford great respect. That probably goes without saying, but it bears special mention because Lady Gwynevere is worshiped as a goddess. It’s a safe assumption that they’re not nearly so… casual about this sort of thing as Pokemon are. Not that getting on the bad side of certain pokemon wouldn’t also be a bad idea, but… I digress.”

Heavens knows that even the normally jovial Ray herself could be quite ferocious if her territory was threatened.

“I think those are the most important things to keep in mind.”

Castelia City, Charlie and Matt

Seven’s attempt to pick up radio signals does actually manage to pick up a news program. You hear a female news anchor’s voice in the waves.

“Good evening, and welcome to the Castelian Chronicle. It’s the news story of the millenia as Castelia finds itself separated from Unova, nay, the entire Pokemon World. While everyone is searching for answers and pointing fingers at any number of potential factors that could be responsible for this bizarre occurrence, one thing is clear - we now find ourselves in a new world, populated by a variety of alien beings. It was some years ago that we made peaceful first contact with humans, and it appears we have found ourselves among their number once again. We wait with bated breath to see what will happen this time…”

It goes on for a bit, conveying small news stories of the day. You also hear some commentary from a podcast called ‘THE ROAR’, hosted by JOHN INCENAROAR, which discusses pokemon fights.

“HOO BOY, I COULD REALLY FEEL THE CRUNCH ON THAT ONE!”

Somehow, you could too. Even if you were just listening to some guy’s podcast with your special ears and you don’t really know what’s going on because you just tuned in randomly.

“WELCOME BACK, FOLKS. IT’S JOHN “MY CAPS LOCK KEY IS BUSTED” THE INCINEROAR HERE FOR THE HOTTEST DEETS ON ALL YOUR FAVORITE FIGHTERS!”

You hear the sound of an air horn for some reason?

“BUT FIRST, THE WHOLE POKEMON WORLD HAS BEEN FLIPPED UPSIDE DOWN EVER SINCE WE ENDED UP IN THIS WEIRDASS PLACE. EVERYONE’S GOT A LOT OF QUESTIONS RIGHT NOW, BUT HERE’S MINE - ARE ANY OF THESE OTHER GUYS TOUGH ENOUGH TO TAKE ON US POKEMON?! HA! PROBABLY NOT! BUT I’M PRETTY CURIOUS!”

The radio broadcast then ends. Yeah, pretty much everything you hear is related to the fact that their city was ripped into another world - as you might expect. People aren’t really talking about much else right now.

Matt seemed intrigued by Athena’s affirmation that she was a psychic.

“Interesting… I had heard tales before that there were humans in other worlds who had all sorts of different abilities, but I had never actually met any before now.”

“Well,” Charlie scratched his head. “As far as knowing anything about what’s going on or why we’re all here… I got nothin’. Nobody I’ve talked to seems to know anything, either. Though what you all said confirms something I’ve been wondering about - seems like some of us have our homes dragged here with us, while others don’t. That doesn’t really explain anything about what’s going on, but I guess knowing something is better than not knowing it. You know anything, Matt?”

The Mew shook his head. “No. I had guessed at first that maybe this was the work of a Pokemon, but that wouldn’t explain why all of you ended up here as well. We have no knowledge of any of you or your worlds, so that wouldn’t make any sense.”

Charlie looked deep in thought.

“Hm… Well, maybe it’s not even a person. Could just be some random cosmic force or whatever, y’know? We’re probably going to need to explore the land before we have a good idea of what’s going on, I’d guess. And wait, one of you guys was already in this whole situation before? What was that like? The 'Battleworld' you called it? Honestly I'd be interested in hearing more about that. Cause we didn't hear some big evil guy greet us when we ended up here, so I'm thinking this might not be the same sort of situation as whatever you're talking about."”

The mention of fightin’ from Yuri and Hekwii makes him nod with a smile.

“That’s right! Fighting is a big form of entertainment around here. If you want to get in on this, Hekwii, I’m sure we could figure something out. A non-pokemon entering the league would garner some crazy ratings, and might throw our veteran fighters for a loop. It’d be great!”

Matt tilts his head.

“Just make sure you don’t bite off more than you can chew. I don’t want anyone getting hurt trying to take on pokemon like… well, you saw the two at the border.”

Charlie looks at Hekwii, then Matt, and shrugs.

“I dunno, he seems pretty tough to me. Woulda figured him for some kind of steel type pokemon I’ve never seen before, if I didn’t know better.”

“So long as they understand what they’re doing. That’s all I ask.”

The two are then handed Reisen’s business card. Charlie seems less weirded out than Matt, who is surprised by how blatantly she’s advertising this particular profession.

“An assassin? Whoa! I feel like I’ve stepped into some wild world of intrigue and danger!”

It genuinely is a miracle few people seem to really be paying attention to this group right now. Especially given Charlie literally just said that out loud. It is one of Arceus' incomprehensible miracles - like Dynamaxing, or Paldea's big innovation of being able to eat a normal ass sandwich.

Matt does not seem nearly as enthused by the whole murder thing.

“We have jobs you can take, but… you can’t just go around killing people for money, that isn’t going to fly here. Fighting is one thing, but that crosses the line. What are your skills besides… well, this? I’m sure there must be other things you could do.”

For what it’s worth, he does still seem genuinely willing to try to help you. Perhaps - no, almost certainly - it’s in the interest of trying to steer you away from killing anyone in the city, but you can't exactly blame him.

Hewkii, Castelia City

His assessment of things turning out to be correct, Hewkii does a brief stretch and cracks his knuckles. This whole thing starts to remind him less of Kolhii and more what he'd been told of the arena fights held in the deserts of the shattered Spherus Magna before the world had been repaired, and scavenged resources had to be allocated by competition, but circumstances seem to be a whole lot less dire here. "Hey, common ground."

Truthfully, combat sports are somewhat new to him, but he isn't about to leave an opportunity for connections on the table, not when his whole life for the past few years has been one crash-course after another. What's one more?

Matthew's concern prompts the Toa to chuckle good-naturedly. "I appreciate you looking out for newcomers, but those guys back there? Seen worse. Beat worse." he shrugs, turning back to the winged one and seeing fit to make a small correction: "Nope, not steel..."

Raising one hand, a yellowish-orange glow begins to emanate from his fingertips before arcing upward and congealing above his upturned palm, where a ball of solid slate-gray rock a foot in diameter coalesces seemingly out of thin air. He then hefts the sphere as if it weighs next to nothing, tossing it up in the air and catching it again before reversing the process, the rock appearing to disintegrate into nothing—in reality, he had merely reabsorbed it into the supply of elemental energy from whence it came. Something even a Turaga can manage, and most Toa worth their Kanohi can do near-effortlessly.

"Stone!" he states simply, allowing some time for that demonstration to sink in. "Elemental powers, just like you guys. So, where do I sign u-"

Mention of Reisen's evident chosen career path, though, elicits a double-take out of the Toa. The only 'assassins' he knew back home were the Dark Hunters and various assorted unaligned mercenaries, and while this fleshy long-eared one certainly doesn't look the part and hadn't done much harm to present company, he's not exactly eager to have to deal with that sort again.

"Yeah, about that..." he agrees with Matthew's apprehension, giving her something of a wary side-eye. "I don't know how things are done where you're from, but if we're gonna work together from here on out, none of that."

Castelia City, Bell Tower: Not So Much Saber Rattling as Saber...Measuring? Gross.

The knights adjourned to a more open-air discussion of the diplomatic mission. Having absolutely no knowledge of spyware above a looming imposter, or relaying secret messages more advanced than by raven or through soapstone, the leader of the Silver Knights saw no security flaw in sitting down for some outside tea time.

The giants—already rather cumbersome on their best behavior—turned to each other before politely declining the offer for tea. That would be far too much effort to put into something they'd probably break by accident. Giant-sized or not, holding a porcelain cup with big heavily-plated gauntlets was bound to end poorly.

For his part, it seemed that the leader of the Silver Knights was right at home with this setting; a nobleman, perhaps? While the manner in which the Sunlight Goddess invited them to sit was a rather unorthodox from Lordranian eyes, the Silver Knights persevered nevertheless. In a few moments, all sat facing Lady Helia, legs tucked beneath them as they accepted cups to sip through their Spartanesque helms.

"According to our orders, Her Grace seeks a pact that transcends one of mere non-aggression, and wishes to establish a proper alliance. Anor Londo is a city housing thousands of warriors, veterans all from the war against the Eternal Dragons. We art a proud and loyal sort, both to Her Grace and Her counselor Lord Gwyndolin, and to those who the children of Lord Gwyn view as friends. Thou art among such company, Lady Helia—and so thus is the City of Castelia.

"In truth, I know not where to begin the logistics of such an alliance. Perhaps an understanding of Castelia's defenses may suffice? Anor Londo boasts some of the finest weapons of war in the entire world; we can defend from forces on land and air alike. Has Castelia the means and measures to defend her borders from invaders? If not, perhaps this is ought Anor Londo can provide."

Dracula's Castle, Colosseum Sitting Area: Some Old and New Tricks

The Gerudo King scoffed at what Death claimed was the cause of his defeat.

"You made no mistake, Death. If this battle was meant to be a simple spar, then the Hero of Time should not have stacked the odds against you. I am aware of this tactic with the boy's irksome companion; she is far more observant than one might presume, and feeds her findings to her partner's ear. One of the many ways he tries to cheat his way to true power."

Speaking of strength through cheating, the only thing that stopped Ganondorf from guffawing at the words "transformative masks" was his close proximity to Dracula. It'd be poor etiquette to laugh so loudly near his host's ear, and even poorer in the presence of a lady. So the Gerudo King stifled a snicker instead.

If he felt the piercing gaze of Death behind him, Ganondorf didn't show it.

Once the lieutenant departed and Dracula summoned one of his apparently two tablets, Ganondorf assumed a similar low tone to avoid being overheard:

"As I alluded to earlier, my lord, I find these supposed favors to be...questionable. We've heard nothing from the forces that brought us here, and have no reason to assume they are allied with the Cure. Offering boons without labor reeks of entrapment."

The Gerudo King knew he was offering lousy advice; no doubt the Count had already reached a similar conclusion, so perhaps this was just an attempt to entice Ganondorf a bit more. Stating the obvious was just the Demon King's way of suggesting he and Dracula were still on the same page.

"Perhaps there is a means to test these tablets? If my lord has two of these favor at his disposal, perhaps one can be used to acquire more information on our situation? Either by seeking the knowledge directly, or through indirect means. Summoning a useful but dispensable underling, for example. And if the tablets hold true, then my lord still possesses one left for later."

"To use as my payment" was the obvious implication.

Dracula's Castle, Colosseum Arena: Best Offense is A Good Defense?

Unfortunately, Raven Beak's efforts to stun the mask a second time got poorer results. Even if the gap between the mask's underbelly and the ground wasn't a matter of inches, the spinning tendrils proved to be as decent at defense as they were pretending to be at offense. The energy beam struck the spinning extensions long before they could threaten Majora's weakness. While some tendrils burned off, the mask quickly grew in replacements.

And so the mask continued its impression of a toy top, and shifted directions to come back at the Mawkin a second time. Simple-minded as the imp was, even it could at least think one step ahead. Raven Beak would either need to flex a little, or demonstrate the canyon-wide gap between Majora's ability to strategize, and his own.

Mountains, Mountain Pass: Corrupt Clergy? In MY Fantasy Setting?

Perhaps to Lillian's surprise, the concept of the church having a hand in Ivalice's problems made Felkin burst into laughter!

"A most troublesome dilemma, Maiden Lillian—and a most familiar one at that! The Way of White holds dominion across the realms of men, and its clergy house the worst hypocrites imaginable. Whilst the demons have their own brand of villainy, at least they lack the two-faced shrewdness possessed by men in power. The Way of White publicly vilifies the Undead, but when one of their own is turned, that "Saint" is charged with making pilgrimage to Lordran to retrieve the Rite of Kindling, to further strengthen the Age of Fire.

"Tis a glorified death sentence, for the Rite of Kindling is held by none other than Lord Nito, the First of the Dead. Yet I've heard rumors that Paladin Leeroy—the greatest knight in the history of the Way of White—stands guard just outside of Lord Nito's chambers, waiting to crush any who would dare disturb the dead.

"The Way of White care not for those they deem 'cursed,' yet if one of those so-called 'wretched' Undead manage to do the impossible and succeed in the 'sacred' task, I have no doubts the church would seize the Rite of Kindling from them, and ensure the heroic Undead are silenced for good."

The Channeler chuckled. "I wonder how the clerics would react to a world such as this. To have their influence uprooted by so much change all at once—would they deem everything beyond their control 'cursed,' as well?"

It was quite possible that Felkin's hypothetical might've struck more than a few nerves. Not that the Channeler seemed at all aware of this shift in opinion. He clearly prized his "blasphemy" against his own world's church.

Duke's Archives, First Floor: These Thots be Sus

The sorcerer's staff didn't lower, but the visitors might hear a short gasp in recognition amid their (admittedly difficult to comprehend) explanation. It happened when Sypha mentioned a sudden and inexplicable sleep.

"Thou knowest of...but how? Either thou knowest the culprit of such powerful sorcery..."

He gripped the staff tighter. "Or twas thee who caused the enchanted slumber in the first place! I find thy claim of merely climbing over the mountains most unconvincing. Thou lack the ghostly hue of phantoms, so thy claim of hailing from another world also reeks of falsehood. Dost thou think me simple-minded? To believe such wild fantasies from trespassers?"

Before Carmilla might spot an opportunity to rid herself of this silly-looking obstacle, the sorcerer raised his staff upright and tapped the floor with its pommel.

"I find thee most suspicious, Sypha Belnades and Carmilla. However, tis not my responsibility to pass judgement upon unexpected visitors. We shall consult His Grace upon this matter. Follow."

The sorcerer turned towards the large central staircase, but didn't take more than a step before glanced over to the two trespassers.

"As matters stand, I am thy sole protector. Attempt to harm me or escape my presence, and the entire archive shall hunt thee down. Is this understood?"

Anor Londo, Streets: "Well, You are A Rare Visi"—Oh Wait, I Already Used This One

The search for Sypha Belnades would lead Trevor, Grant, and Alucard through a maze of well-kept yet eerily empty streets. The ground level of the city seemed to have impressively little activity to speak of. Maybe it was due to the time of day, or perhaps the trio just hadn't ventured into the right area yet. Regardless of the reason, the knight's statement from earlier made a lot of sense now that they weren't staring at the skyline:

This city did seem "lost."

"How curious."

The voice came from behind the trio, though were they to turn around they'd see nothing but the brick street and stone buildings.

Suddenly, it was coming from the left. "To think: our fair city hath been visited by so many in a single day."

Now to the right. "Ne'er before did I imagine to find humans on these lonesome roads."

From behind, once more. "Most curious indeed."

Though should the trio turn around for the final time, they would see a bright yellow light appear before them, soon replaced by the presence of a young fair-skinned figure dressed in white and gold. While the clothing and figure suggested the stranger was a woman, the soft tenor voice suggested masculinity.

"Greetings, strangers. Thou standest before Gwyndolin, the Dark Sun; last born of Lord Gwyn and counsel to Her Grace Lady Gwynevere, Goddess of Sunlight and Princess of Lordran. To whom hath I the pleasure of greeting?"

A small, sly smile appeared on the enigmatic figure's face: "And for what purpose hast thou come here?"

Ordon Village, Path: Weird Fetch Quest, but OK

"Giant...birds?" Purah blinked. "As in Eldin Ostriches, or..."

She paused, and decided on a new tactic. Rolling up the map and tucking it away into her pouch, the young lady reached for the strange rectangular device on her hip, brushed her fingertips across its surface a few times (like "typing," if Pyra was familiar with the technique), and turned the rectangle around to display an image of a large flightless bird with brown feathers and tufts of red and yellow on the top of its head.

"Do the birds look anything like this? Eldin Province is far to the Northeast of here. If these birds are some form of exotic pet, then they must be quite valuable; their owner must miss them dearly."

Eastern Ruins: MEDIC!

Link was spent. He'd put everything he could into crippling this monster, and as the Cunning God of Death turned around to scream in the goron's face, it seemed like the sound wave alone would be enough to topple him. He couldn't dodge, he couldn't block, he couldn't even move. He might as well be wearing a true-to-weight goron suit and using his own teeny Hylian body to push the arms and legs. The only thing keeping him upright was the stance he'd taken to anchor himself down; no strength, all structural integrity.

Fortunately, he wasn't alone. One, then two, then three people leapt at the chance to strike this monster before he could lay a claw on the exhausted hero. And then Mr. Eyepatch popped up and said he did a good job.

Link twitched out a half-smile. Did he really do a good job?

And then the stinky lizard was gone. The entire battlefield was gone. A pair of unbelievably powerful hands moved him, and the next thing he knew, Link was lying down on his side. He could hear people's voices, but it was getting harder to understand them. They were growing...muffled, somehow. More distant. It was hard to focus on the conversation, and even harder to try and look around. All he could see was what was right in front of him, and even that was starting to get some dark blotches. All he could really pay attention to was his breathing—heaving big gulps of air in and out felt like the only thing that alleviated the unspeakable pain spiking through his body.

By the time that saw someone try to speak to him directly, the world had started to go pretty dark. He noticed red and messy hair, though. And the way she was talking to him...the sound felt familiar.

It sounded like something Saria would say.

...

Once she was freed from the dark prison she'd suddenly found herself in, Tatl spent no time zooming away from the weirdo in the eyepatch. How did he even do that, anyways?! She didn't even blink and suddenly she was stuffed away in her usual hiding spot!

Though if she was planning to give her kidnapper a piece of her mind, that rant went out the window as soon as she saw her partner...and the horrifying new appendage he'd acquired while she was gone.

"H—h-how...?"

Tatl's wings failed her, and she half-fell, half-fluttered her way to the ground. She could hear her heartbeat in her ears, her skin prickle, her guts turn to ice. She found herself trying to count the seconds she was separated from her partner during that fight. 100? 150? 200? How could something do so much damage to a GORON in that amount of time?!

More importantly, why hadn't he done what she told him to do?! "If he starts getting serious, drop the tail and get some distance." She had been VERY clear about that! What could've possibly happened within 200+ seconds for this STUPIDLY STUBBORN brat to just take her words as a SUGGESTION?! Forget that cold feeling in her guts, she was on fire from all the anger coursing through her right now!

The fairy fluttered back up to ear-level with the people around her.

"He's never fallen asleep or passed out with one of these masks on before!" the informed the medics, even as she used her voice as an outlet for her rage. "I don't know if he'll go back to his normal self, or if he'll stay as Darmani! Once that tail's out I don't know what'll happen!"

She rushed down to the goron's exposed ear and shouted: "Y'hear that?! You better stay awake till we get this thing out and muster the strength to remove the mask, got it?! Because if you die here, I am LITERALLY GOING TO KILL YOU!!!"

The fairy zoomed back up to the twin healers. "Worst case scenario, I have a trick to save his life, even if he switches back before the tail's out! But it better not come to that because I can only use this magic once in my entire life, and if I use it now you'll have to knock some much-needed sense into him when he gets better! Clear?!"

It's strange to think that she hadn't thought of this trump card till now: the one magic of lower-fairy magic that could be used on someone else. By transferring their magic into another living thing, they can restore the subject's life energy. Close wounds, fix injured organs, even cure sicknesses if the cause came from something foreign. A little miracle in every light with wings; it was the primary reason why fairies didn't trust many mortals in the first place, and often went into hiding whenever they were around.

Though then again, it probably wasn't that strange that she hadn't thought of it till now. The kid had gotten hurt before, but never this hurt, and it wasn't like fairies like her had much life-giving magic to offer, anyways. Giving anything less than their entire supply wouldn't save someone from dying. And if that happened, well...she wouldn't be able to rescue Tael now, would she?

Fortunately, it turned out that the worst-case scenario wasn't in the cards. Hardly a moment after removing the tail, the little hero's eyes closed completely. In a flash of light, the fearsome rock creature was gone, and in his place was an unconscious little boy with blonde hair and dagger-shaped ears, dressed in a hat, boots, shorts, and a matching green tunic...that was growing wetter and redder by the moment.

Time to get to work, medics!

Eastern Ruins, Northwest

Makura quickly lost focus on the fight as newcomers suddenly appeared, carrying a strange rocky person that was apparently a child and was clearly heavily injured.

Kongara and Seitaka yelped at the sudden shouting, retreating to Makura's side. Makura stepped closer to examine the injured boy. She wasn't a medic, but she'd been a soldier for a long time, and had seen enough bloodshed to gauge how bad a wound was.

"Yeah, that... doesn't look good. Unless you got some kind of magic healing, or he's secretly a Dokkaku Soldier, I don't think..."

Then two more people showed up, and claimed they could heal him. She was curious as to how, until the fairy popped out and she remembered where she was. "Oh, right, magic is real. Eheh."

She kept one eye on the ongoing surgery, but kept her ears peeled for the outcome of the fight. Turning her head slightly, Makura addressed the eyepatch guy. "So, uh, no one else over there is seriously hurt, right?"

Eastern Ruins, Center

The dragon escaped. For all his strength, Yoriichi could not fly. His sword struck only air.

As Ridley flew away, Yoriichi flicked his blade, in the manner one would use to clean it after battle. Though in his case, there was no blood to sully it, any filth having been seared away by heat.

Relaxing his breathing for a moment, he allowed his blade to fade from red back to its resting black color, before sheathing it. He responded to his enemy's parting words with a stern glare, and when he replied, his own words seemed to echo on the wind.

"Someone will always appear to stop you. Even now, someone who will become stronger than any of us is taking their first breath."

He said these words with utter confidence, as though stating a fact of the universe.

Then the dragon exhaled its fire, and Yoriichi moved, grabbing Amako's hand to pull her out of harm's way. Though he knew she could handle herself, still he worried.

The barbarian, on the other hand, was left to fend for himself. Proud warrior that Conan was, Yoriichi assumed that Conan would be insulted by an attempt to help.

Conan - Eastern Ruins, Center

And so the draconic foe would cut his losses by flying away from the scene, trying to escape Conan and his erstwhile comrades. Bereft of flight, the Cimmerian could only stare up at the beastly braggard as it tried to keep up its fearsome bravado despite the wounds it carried. "Ah! Bold claims from the one who is running away! You better pray that this fight is over, for I shall finish it if we confront each other once more!"

For his part, he needed no help to survive the spiteful last assault, accustomed as he was to periples. The northen warrior would imediatly move to leap to the side so as to avoid the fiery streams, making sure that he wouldn't recieve further wounds.

When Purah shows Pyra the picture from the small device, she puts a finger to her chin, "I'm afraid that's not it. The birds I've seen have golden feathers, broader beaks, and bright blue eyes."

A bit of Pyra was curious about the owner of the birds, but perhaps they're more commonplace in wherever they live compared to the usual pets of Alrest. She was also curious about the device itself. A portable camera that you can carry over great distances in a compact case? What a concept! But she couldn't be distracted by such things. She looked back at Rusl's house and offered, "We're having breakfast over here if you want any."

Life continued on as normal, well normal-ish considering the situation, for the Bee Kingdom. The hustle and bustle of the Hive was, for the most part, uninterrupted by the worries of the fact that their land is suddenly in a different world. Mostly because they pushed that fact out of their minds. That is, until a few of the guards spotted a strange pair flying towards them. They looked nothing like any bugs that comes to mind, so they concluded that they must be someone from outside.

A few of them gathered around where Fluttershy and Bruce would land, not drawing their weapons, but still eying them cautiously. The civilians, which mostly comprised of anthropomorphic bees, keeps their distance, curious about the small adorable-looking pony and the fierce creature who's only familiar appendage is the tail. Elaine, Eastern Ruins > Eastern Ruins, Center

Scrambling through the greenery and decrepit architecture of the ruined city as a plan of attack percolates, Elaine takes position in the upper floor of one of the few still-intact buildings around the battlefield... just in time to peer out an open window and witness the God of Death, accompanied by a handful of flying vessels that the Scythers had apparently arrived in, departing into the sky with its tail between its legs.

Or so it would be if the beast still had a tail.

What happened?

She squints.

And how in the fuck did I miss it!?

Were she bipedal, she'd have balled a fist and slammed it down mightily on the windowsill in frustration, but she instead settles for slamming down a paw, producing little else but a very faint unsatisfying -thud- and doing nothing to vent her frustration as a result.

Seeking an outlet, her eyes scan the battlefield. Now, where's that conniving little shit Wulfr- she wonders before catching sight of a bloodied but nevertheless-standing Conan, Ninetales, her prettyboy translator looking a tad worse for wear himself... and a pool of fresh blood on the ground that couldn't have come from any of them. She can't see the Dynamaxed one anywhere, but the pointed lack of roaring and thundering footsteps tells her all she needs to know. Fat lot of good that gimmick did.

Her irritation quickly replaced by confusion and something resembling concern for her fellow combatants as briefly as she'd known them, the vaporeon carefully navigates the ledges and overhangs along the outside of the building before hopping the rest of the way down to the ground and making her way over to the three, shooting them a quizzical look.

"Uhh," she greets them, nodding up toward the sky where Ridley had fled and then down toward that blood, slowly putting two and two together in her head—she isn't exactly big on forensics, but that couldn't have been Ridley's either. Someone had fallen and laid there bleeding for a time. "Either of you mind telling me what just happened? And what about that rock-type?"

Getting a closer look at Conan elicits another wince, besides. "Arceus, you look like you got dragged behind a Mudsdale for three miles." she remarks with a half-hearted chuckle. "Get that cleaned up, eh?"

Athena, Mai, and Yuri, Castelia City

"Really?" Athena took out the business card Reisen gave her. "I would've figured that if she was that kind of assassin, she wouldn't be handing business cards to everyone she meets like she had been at the Hill."

Dracula, Dracula's Castle, Colosseum Sitting Area

Death gave Ganondorf a piercing glare as he left to get the witches.

"Hmm..." Dracula didn't like the answer he had been given. It was the right answer, of course, but that didn't mean he didn't like it. If Carmilla were here, he could have pawned the tablet off on her and let her take the full brunt of the wish's possible negatives. Galamoth was useful and dispensible, but Dracula didn't really want to deal with his rebellious attitude. Maybe figure out what Belmont is looking for and... and what?

As Dracula considered his options, someone busted into the Colosseum Sitting Area. He quickly dispelled the tablet he was holding again.

"Lord Dracula!" It was an Aliorumnas who looked to be in a panic. She seemed to only be wearing half a Cape of Invisibility over her body. "To the West! Carmilla!"

Dracula frowned and facepalmed, sighing in annoyance before apologizing to Ganondorf, "I am needed elsewhere."

Dracula kissed Lisa on the cheek and got up from his throne with her. He let her sit in the throne as he walked away to clearly discuss something important with this Aliorumnas. He did not expect a report so soon.

Lisa frowned as she watched Dracula leave.

Master Librarian, Long Library, Castlevania

"That is unfortunate," The Master Librarian pulled out a map of the castle. Despite Dracula's Castle being a Creature of Chaos and thus having many incarnations, there was a map to the Castle.

"This map will not reveal all of the castles secrets, but it should help you from getting lost," The Master Librarian said. "You should be able to get straight to the Alchemy Lab by following the map. Feel free to borrow whatever books on Alchemy you need, but we will want them back."

Trevor, Grant, and Alucard, Anor Londo, Streets

When someone started teleporting around them, they had readied themselves for a fight, expecting an ambush. However, when Gwyndolin introduced herself by her proper title, Alucard showed them the proper respect of someone with that title by bowing. Trevor and Grant followed with the bowing.

"Apologies, I am Trevor Belmont, and these two is Grant Danasty and Alucard," Trevor introduced himself and his two companions. "We are looking for one of our own... A woman in blue robes named Sypha Belnades."

"It does not look like there are anyone on these roads except for us," Trevor added. The three had noted just how empty Anor Londo looked, which had made the city eerie and all too familiar, given what they know about Dracula.

Sypha & Carmilla, Duke's Archives, First Floor

"Or maybe we went through the same sleep as you did, you—" Carmilla began, but was interrupted from answering the question about his simple-mindedness with a yes by Sypha.

"Stop that," Sypha interrupted Carmilla.

When Carmilla saw him turn his back on them, she was about to blast him when he turned around and she instead chose to wave at him, trying to be as unthreatening as possible. Seems like they had better follow them up the central staircase.

"So far all we've seen in this building is you," Carmilla replied to him, omitting the fact that they saw the crystal golems outside. That was technically not a lie.

"How do we know that these Man Serpents even exist?" Carmilla asked him.

"Carmilla, we need to be polite!" Sypha retorted to her before turning to the sorceror. "We understand."

The Aliorumnas, still cloaked in the Cape of Invisibility, floated after Sypha and Carmilla.

Ordon Village, Rusl's House

"Hmmmmm..." Rusl inspected his soup for a long moment, then answered Quilby's query. "In truth, these are dark times, my friend. A greater number and stronger and more aggressive monsters abound in the Hyrule as of late, including in the forest. That's not to even mention the bizarre veil of twilight that enveloped large swaths of the Kingdom recently along with the hordes of creatures of darkness. Of course, with only a single path from the forest into the village, I alone am more than enough to fend off whatever comes this way! Haha!"

"Dear!" Uli admonished with an anxious frown.

"Yes, well..." Rusl coughed awkwardly, then sighed. "The truth is, the only reason I'm able to fend them off is that their attacks are random and uncoordinated. When they act in unison and utilize actual tactics, they're more than a match for a single, ordinary man such as myself. But monsters of those particular kinds usually keep to the area of Hyrule Field, which starts past the North end of the woods."

????? ???????? Tokyo, Karakucho

"Hmmmmm..." Minako thought for a minute, then turned to the rest of SEES, who had followed them out. "I'll probably go with Mami-chan, Oriko-chan, and Leif. What do you think?"

"Akihiko and I will check the more... adult establishments, seeing as we're of age, starting with this 'Cretaceous' place," Mitsuru asserted. "Meanwhile, Iori and Takeba can scout out the other stores. Moving in too large of a group might cause problems, but I think you should at least take Aigis with you."

"Alright! Then it's settled! Remember to call if you need anything~!"

"Right," Mitsuru agreed with an elegant smile. "Good luck!"

"C'mon, gang~!" Minako trilled, motioning for those she'd mentioned plus Aigis to follow her.

The SEES Leader's party strode down the street confidently until they reached something that looked particularly familiar to her. "Oh, hey!" she exclaimed, peering up at the massive sign at the corner. "It's De La Mancha! Wow, so they're still in business, huh? Maybe we should stock up on supplies..."

Her head swiveled to observe the food truck that had set up shop right nearby. "Man, I know we pretty much just ate, but that smells de-lish...!"

Strutting up to a couple of people who were standing nearby and munching on tacos and a quesadilla in little paper baskets, The Fool fearlessly caught their attention. "Hey!" she beamed at them with a cheery little wave. "Which of those foods ya got would be best to try out first? Figured I should get a review from a paying customer or four first!"

"Oh! Hey there! The apple tacos are totes amazeballs!" the green-yellow haired lady replied immediately, grinning.

"Ugggggh!" the other green haired guy groused, going so far as to put down his quesadilla to palm his face. "Ringo, you can't just put apples on everything and say it tastes good! Apples don't go on tacos! It's not right, I tell ya!"

"Hmph. If this is wrong, I don't want to be right!"

"Yeah, how can you say it's bad if you haven't tried it, MJ?" Minako concurred.

"See, random schoolgirl gets it!" Ringo nodded sagely.

"Hey, now, that's— wait a minute, MJ? Who the hell's MJ?"

"You know, Michael Jackson?" Minako tilted her head. "The guy you stole your fashion sense from?"

"Whaaaaaaaaa?!" Green-haired guy reeled back, as if struck. "You wound me, random schoolgirl! Are you implying these duds give off old man vibes?!"

"I mean, they suit you really well - super stylin' - but you gotta admit, that look is so last century, Saizo!" Ringo said with a smirk.

"I get no respect 'round here, I tell ya! No respect!" Saizo sagged in defeat.

"It's okay, Saizo-san! I still think you look sharp!" Minako encouraged, giving him a pat on the arm. "I'm Minako, by the way!"

"...Thanks, Minako-chan..." he sighed dejectedly, tipping his hat.

Fuuka Bay

"Copy that, Ragnarok," Ohgi's voice came over the line. "How should I explain... Basically - and I know this sounds unbelievable - you all, Fuuka, Tokyo, us, and I'm willing to bet a lot more people have all been pulled out of the universes we originated from and placed on a patchwork planet, like some kind of twisted jigsaw puzzle. This happened to those of us from my universe about 24 hours ago as well, and it was due to some kind of... nearly all-powerful being that wanted us to fight for his amusement. Fast forward a day, and after everybody suddenly falls asleep again for no apparent reason, we're here instead, and all signs of that being and the locations that had surrounded us have vanished without a trace. And yet, we're clearly not home, because there's no Japanese city named Fuuka that I've ever heard of where I'm from - and not a free state called Japan anymore, for that matter."

"Look," he continued, sounding a bit sheepish, "like I said, I know this probably sounds unbelievable. If you'll allow us to make landfall, we should be able to provide proof by showing you something that doesn't exist in your universe. Or, if that's a bridge too far for you, you can investigate and find out yourselves some other way. I would just caution you against, uh... making contact with the Tokyo Settlement itself right away. The Brits are extremely, aggressively militaristic, and they have plenty of firepower to back up their chest-thumping. Given they're occupying a conquered Japanese city, I wouldn't put it past them to set their sights on conquering a free Japanese city like Fuuka as soon as they get the chance."

Fuuka/Manhattan Border

"Call!" Howard declared, proudly slapping a ten on top of the pot.

"Call."

"Call."

Sadly, it seemed that Fernandez's attempt to scare off one or more opponents wasn't working. Then came the drawing. Discarding his fives, the Searrs grunt picked up... a nine of clubs and a queen of diamonds.

"I stand pat," said Howard, smirking.

"Stand pat," echoed the second Sable mook, stone-faced.

"Stand pat," echoed the third, licking his lips.

None of them had drawn any cards! Were they all bluffing, or did they just have great hands? Now what will you do, Fernandez...?!

Manhattan, City Hall

"You know, just to be clear, I wasn't dismissing the possibility of communication; I'm just worried this Gwyndolin fellow will find out Manhattan is quote-unquote 'ruled' by a Mayor and dismiss us out of hand," Norman explained with a sigh. "Anyway, I'm a bit too busy here to just leave things to my deputies and up and travel to another city, but I have a few candidates in mind to send. That said, you've suggested, I think rightly, that a proposal for an alliance, or at least an invitation to the diplomatic summit I mentioned, would carry more weight if delivered jointly with one of your people, who Anor Londo trusts relatively more than me or mine. In light of that, would you be open to sending someone from Castelia to accompany my glorified messenger?"

Earth 11945, Forest Kingdom

"FOOD... HMMMM... NO, I SUPPOSE WE DO NOT. HOWEVER, IF YOU FIND ANY FOOD IN THE FOREST KINGDOM, YOU ARE WELCOME TO IT! WE MACHINES HAVE NO NEED OF IT, AFTER ALL! ...AH. SOMETIMES, CREATURES SUCH AS YOURSELVES EAT THE FLESH OF OTHER BIOLOGICAL BEINGS, YES? TAKE CARE THAT YOU DO NOT HARM THE FOREST KING'S HERD! THANKFULLY, THEY ARE USUALLY LOCKED IN THE STABLES SOUTHWEST OF HERE, ON THE WESTERN EDGE OF THE KINGDOM, BUT THE HERD-KEEPER PERIODICALLY LETS THEM OUT TO GRAZE AND SO FORTH."

"WELL, WE SHOULD BE GETTING BACK TO OUR TRAINING AND PATROLS!" the Sergeant-like Machine decided, raising a hand to wave goodbye. "FAREWELL, STRANGE—" Sensing something, he swiveled his head upwards.

"GASP!" he pronounced. "OH NO, IT'S—!"

Plummeting down from the forest canopy, what seemed at first glance to be a scantly-clad woman with long white hair dove at the Machines with massive greatsword in hand, and with a series of quick swings and WHAM!s, shattered the knights' shields and cleaved their leader in half, who proceeded to fall off his 'horse' and land on the ground with a thud. Somehow managing to kick off of nothing into a backflip, the lady suddenly moved backwards through the air with a WHOOSHing sound, landing a safe distance away from her opponents. It was apparent from looking at her that although she was handling her greatsword with two hands, she actually had a second, smaller sword at her back - not sheathed or strapped there, just sort of... hovering.

"DESTROY THE ENEMY!" the fallen Machine cried, in spite of being bisected. "ROYAL KNIGHTS, GIVE YOUR LIVES FOR THE KING OF THE FOREST!" Then he exploded into a small nova of fire and metal with a rather spectacular KABOOM!

"FOR THE KING OF THE FOREST!" the remaining knights roared, charging at her and thrusting their extremely sharp-looking spears at her, which she began artfully dodging.

Eastern Ruins, Central

Amako let out a slightly surprised or confused whine as Yoriichi pulled her out of the way of the beam of destruction she was already moving her feet to dodge away from, though she quickly regained her balance. Then as the scoundrel fled, sans tail, she assessed the situation. The shirtless man looked incredibly banged-up, as she observed with a worried frown. But even more worrisome was the fact that Yoriichi was covered in blood and viscera, and even if he seemed to be standing steadily, she couldn't tell how much of it was his!

Wait... something was missing.

"Oh!" she exclaimed, eyes lighting up in realization. This victory called for a certain celebratory exercise she had often gone through in Nippon!

She skipped over to the near-center of the street, then rolled her neck with a wolflike snarl, before throwing her head back and letting out a Certified Amako Victory Howl.

That done, she stepped back over to Yoriichi. "Art thou harmed, and grievously at that, Yoriichi-kun?" she asked, cocking her head with knit eyebrows. "We cannot in truth tell through all the monster blood... Ah! Let Us wash some of that off, then!"

Out of a mostly blue sky, a dark grey raincloud appeared over the top of the two of them, immediately drenching them both with a heavy torrent of water, and steadily washing away most of the blood and gore covering Yoriichi.

"Much better~!" she decided, beaming, then added, "Please convey Our apologies to Conan-san. It was because of Our indecisiveness that he was injured as badly as he was. Our immediate next step should be to find him medical assistance."

Castlevania

This time, the tendrils burned instead of the mask's back. Raven Beak landed on the ground, tilting his head, intrigued.

Interesting. At least the creature was a bit more intelligent than anticipated.

However, the imp-thing did not change strategies as it kept spinning towards Raven Beak. The Chozo could very well just dodge again, and again, until the mask would be tired, or throw another tantrum again.

How tiresome.

Raven Beak even glanced at Ganondorf and Dracula talking behind his back, wondering what they were up to. He even briefly spotted Dracula showing his guest one of the wish-granting tablets he had been shown earlier.

The Mawkin chieftain frowned under his helmet. He will keep this in mind, not intending to be left behind by the two evil overlords that were dragged into this mess longer than he had.

Turning back his attention to his foe, Raven Beak assessed the situation and decided on his next move. The warlord extended his wings again, "preparing" to fly away at the last moment, like last time, tricking Majora into the same stance.

However, this time, once Majora was close enough Raven Beak swung his Arm Canon upwards, performing a Melee Counter to stun Majora instead of using a projectile. Should he succeed, he would then brutally claw at his foe's back, as hard as a sword would.

The Mawkin soldiers glanced at each other as Quiet Robe received a map from the librarian.

"If this does not bother you, librarian, we request maps for ourselves and Lord Raven Beak."

"I see." Quiet Robe said at the Librarian's explanations. He took the books he needed and prepared to leave, escorted by the Mawkin soldiers.

Before leaving to the Alchemy Lab though, the old Thoha turned towards the Librarian.

"Ah... Pardon me for my lack of manners, I have not introduced myself to you. I am Quiet Robe, scientist of the Thoha tribe. May I ask your name?" he kindly asked.

Space Pirate Mothership

It didn't take long for the ship to start leaving the Ruins area. The pirate crew right now was trying to recover, they didn't need another fight.

Right now, Ridley and Kraid, being the most injured of the group, were in the Laboratory section. The Zebesian scientist was by their side, having already patched the hole on Ridley's butt where his tail used to be.

The dragon was obviously in an execrable mood.

"Tssh... That kid really made a nasty work on the big brute."    Ridley admitted, watching the unconscious or dead Kraid with a condescending stare. He then turned to the Zebesian.

   "Can you fix him?"

"I... I certainly could try. Mainly, I just have to take care of his eyes and the inside... It is going to take a long while, though." the scientist nervously said.

"As long as you hurry up. Before that, though..."    Ridley snarled. The Zebesian gulped as he stared at his master.

"O-Oh yes!! I'm going to craft you a new tail as soon as possible! I got the tools for that! T-Take it like a mini-cyberization."

Ridley grunted and rolled his eyes in annoyance, ignoring the scientist before looking at his claws.

As much as he hated it, the dragon had to admit he underestimated the situation. He thought this world was free game for him, but some of the people here were an actual threat to him. Having lost his tail proved this.

Just like in Battlerworld with Nishijima, he had to find allies, competent ones. And quick. With the insulting wound Link gave him, Ridley's bloodlust and wrathful mood only increased.

Castelia City - Seven

Seven raises an eyebrow at the mention of fighting as entertainment; This kind of bloodsport was usually the domain of the Pichu tribe back home, and their darwinian view of life was at odds with the prosperous town they are standing in right now.

"Fights, huh? Count me in, unless there's something more urgent...?" They speak up, before Reisen's occupation is mentioned. Once again, only the more Dark-aligned tribes would resort to wetwork, and only in exceptional circumstances; a poorly executed assassination could result in blood feuds, if not open warfare. And yet, Reisen clearly does not act like one of their kind, openly advertising her job as if it was something much more mundane. Seven decides to stay silent on the matter for now.

Earth 11945, Forest Kingdom - Igno

"Aye, that's good to know, thanks! I tend to avoid meat, anyways." Igno responds with a smile, raising his hand to return the captain's farewell, just as he gets interrupted and promptly bisected by the white-haired lady, the robot's final words and subsequent explosion promptly spurring the remaining knights into action.

The shapeshifter loses a bit of time to the robots as he instinctively raises an arm to cover his face from the explosion, briefly stumbling and wincing in pain as he still receives a couple metal shards into his arm and side, before quickly running towards the fight and squeezing through the knights' formation, pushing their spears aside and putting himself between them and the white-haired fighter, facing to the side as he stretches one arm towards them, the other towards the greatsword-wielding woman, in an attempt to prevent a bloodbath. Or, well, oilbath, considering how easily she dispatched the captain and their shields.

"Woah, woah, slow the Crun down!" He yells out, far louder than any normal human could, not hearing himself as his ears are still ringing from the captain's impromptu detonation. "How about we put the brakes on the murder for a second?!"

Anor Londo, Streets: At Least it's not the Londo Full of Ghosts

The Dark Sun made a slow glance around the empty road, and sighed.

"Alas, Anor Londo hath seen better days. Once, the sounds of life in these lowly streets could be heard from the very palace. Yet those merthful days hath long passed."

Gwyndolin turned from the trio, and began walking down the empty street. The click, click, click of hidden heels rang between the tall stone structures on each side of the road.

"The Silver Knights seldom patrol this area; mayhaps I shouldest correct this oversight. Regardless, thou shall find nought in these houses—save for rats, I suppose. Please, follow."

As the Dark Sun began to lead the visitors through the streets, Gwyndolin's mask would shift towards one shoulder:

"Thine attire resembles that of Lordan's realms of men. And yet I suspect that Chosen Undead thou art not, for few traverse with company. May I ask of thine homelands? Or homeworlds, as matters may be?"

Duke's Archives, Seath's Chambers: Guests, Wanted and Otherwise

Judging by the laugh emanating from behind the sorcerer's helmet, it was obvious he found Carmilla's (rhetorical) question amusing.

"Think I needest resort to tricks and falsehoods? The Man Serpents are servants of His Grace. Their blades are as long as thou'rt tall, and they wield them with might that slices trees in twain. If His Grace takes a liking to thee, mayhaps thou shalt view a demonstration."

With another chuckle, a grin could be heard in the sorcerer's voice: "And if His Grace finds thy falsehoods distasteful, mayhaps thou shalt be part of the demonstration!"

Prickish as the suggestion was, the visitors did know that this sorcerer didn't believe a word they'd said earlier. From his perspective, they were liars who had snuck into the archives for some unknown reason they had elected to hide. His threats and sneers might've been a tactic to get a rise out of one of them—the one in red, specifically. Then he wouldn't need to bother "His Grace" (whoever that was) with who he clearly viewed as spies.

There was some thought behind the threat, but it was still a less-than-chivalrous jab. The guy probably didn't have a girlfriend.

After the central staircase, the visitors (seen and unseen) would be led to a large lift. The sorcerer pulled a lever, and the lift began to go up...and up...and way up, until the visitors must have guessed that they were going to the highest point of the building. Seems whoever was in charge of this place liked to have a view.

Once the lift stopped, the visitors would be guided towards a long and winding staircase to their right. It didn't take long for Sypha, Carmilla, and the Aliorumnas to notice that there was a...unique form of pestilence lining the walls of this enclosed staircase:

Crystals. Most quite small, but some reached up to Sypha's knee, all glistening with distorted colors and reflections shining from the torches lighting the enclosure. The more they ascended, the more these crystals began to usurp stone as the prime material for the staircase. In time, they were completely surrounded by the stuff; as quiet and gentle as winter snow.

After what felt like a quarter of a mile up this strange structure, a doorway would appear to the visitors' right. Inside, they'd find a massive domed room, with two floors of bookcases almost completely surrounding the chamber. Though the books might not be the focal point of their attention, because standing (sitting?) near the far edge of the room was a massive creature with six brilliant wings and a smooth scaleless snow white hide.

A dragon.

"Pardon the intrusion, Your Grace." the sorcerer said in Lordranian, earning the audience a turn of the mighty creature's head. As the beast slid its tails to pivot on its base, the visitors would be able to get a better look at the dragon's features—specifically, that it was evidently blind.

"I was in the first floor of the archives when I discovered these—"

"Maidens."    the dragon stated in the universal tongue, a hint of curiosity in his voice.    "Most peculiar."

The dragon slithered his base towards the center of the room, where he could lean his long neck down to study the visitors up-close.

First, he flared his nostrils towards Sypha.    "A young little thing. Full of life; even fuller of gumption, I suspect."

Next, he caught Carmilla's scent.    "This one's more a woman grown. Jaded, and more...cold? An Undead, perhaps. Hmmmm...a pity."

He then turned his head towards the air.    "And this one—"

"Your Grace?"

   "Hmm?"

"I see nothing, Your Grace. Thou speakest to the air."

The dragon paused, then—

WHAM!

A clawed hand the size of a person slammed down on the ground where the Aliorumnas currently stood, aiming to pin the concealed witch to the ground. Whether he captured the witch or not, the dragon would bare his teeth in anger and hiss:

"I stand corrected. There art just two maidens in this chamber. And one rat."

Nia, Ordon Village, Rusl's Home: Wrong Context Magic, Thy Name is Twilight

The catgirl's ears perked up when the news of more frequent monster attacks had reached her. What's more, the mention of "veils of twilight" has also gotten her attention, "What do you mean by "veils of twilight"? How in the Architect's name did they just put a whole time of day in just certain parts of a land? Unless I'm mistaken and this is some kind of weird thing tied to this land."

She has witnessed some Dark-element Blades work while she was back home, but the most they did was a flourish to some attacks or manipulate the gravity around them. She's sure as hell that there's no Blade that can change whether it's night or day. At least, she hopes there isn't. Having your sleep cut short by the sun arriving too early can really put a damper on the mood.

Pyra, Ordon Village Outskirts: Was that the Blue Angels?

While Purah is responding to her offer, out of the corner of the Aegis's eye she saw a few streaks of light zip through the sky. She could only catch a glimpse of two trails of a rainbow and a flame before they disappeared as soon as they appeared. With a bewildered look, she asks the girl, "You saw that too, right?"

Leif, ????? ???????? Tokyo, Karakucho: Crystal Blue Persuasion

After the groups have been settled, Leif looked at the white-colored Magical Girl and nodded, "Let's hustle."

Leif is tempted to try out the various kinds of food around. Even with the breakfast from earlier, he's starting to feel a bit peckish, but he can't really just up and go get some, at least not without doing some dine and dash. He decided on going the opposite direction of the Fool and her party. Anywhere they go, he let Oriko do the talking, knowing that her friendlier look would get them further than if he started any conversations.

Wulfrik, Eastern Ruins

Will you now. Might I ask how? Doubtless you will stab me in the back, while I sleep, and with a poisoned dagger just to be sure. Cowards are all surprisingly similar in their methods.

-Wulfrik idly grabs the handle of his sword-of-light. His unseen foe claims it will be useless, but that might be only empty bravado.-

Ordon Village, Path: The Most Important Meal of the Day

"Golden feathers and bright blue eyes..." Purah echoed in thought. No, she wasn't familiar with any species like that in the modern Animal Kingdom of Hyrule. Not that that mattered here, she supposed. For all she knew, these birds went extinct hundreds (if not thousands) of years before the oldest documented tomes of the Hyrulean royal bloodline—and that stretched back over 10,000 years.

It was then that the Aeigis said the magic words, though she probably didn't realize it. There were few things that the Hylian swordsman loved more than a freshly-cooked meal, and judging by the drool that suddenly leaked out one side of his mouth, it'd be clear to both ladies that he now only cared about one objective right now.

"Honestly?" Purah chided Robbie in their native tongue. "Could you be more obtuse right now?"

"I never got any wheatcakes..." The swordsman murmured. Judging by his (and his companion's) tone, it'd be safe to say that they were discussing the Aegis' invitation to breakfast...and it'd be pretty clear Purah and Robbie weren't on the same side.

"We're not even guests here, and you want to take from the table of strangers?" Purah replied, then added with a leer: "Again?"

"They were to DIE for!" the young man emphatically protested. "That's what Mr. Murdock said, right?! And I didn't even get a single bite!" Surprisingly, these words were paired with a cracking voice, and water visibly pooling in the young man's eyes.

Indeed, there were few things that the Hylian swordsman loved more than a freshly-cooked meal. Among the exceptions? A new freshly-cooked meal after a freshly-cooked meal was denied him!

Perhaps fearing that the outburst might turn more ears their way, a crimson-faced Purah turned to Pyra with a sigh so heavy with frustration, she may as well have been expelling steam from her nostrils.

"Apologies, Pyra. Robbie has many passions...but few can challenge his passion for food. So long as we won't be a burden, I suppose a moment's respite wouldn't hurt."

Before Robbie could take more than a step after Pyra, he heard his companion state in a swift but authoritative "Stop". Turning around, Robbie would see Purah give him an ominous half-lidded stare, before commanding: "Use ingredients from your pouch. We are not taking resources from these poor people. You cook, and ensure there's enough for everyone."

It might've been hard for the Aegis to gather what was just said—and perhaps just then the shift in the sky caught Pyra's attention—but whatever was said, it brought new light to Robbie's eyes. He smiled, gave his companion a silent nod, and proceeded to follow Pyra.

For her part, Purah turned her eyes skyward upon request, but all she saw was a sea of blue and the wispy gray ships of clouds.

"I see nothing." the young Hylian shrugged. "Did something catch your eye, Pyra?"

Ordon Village, Rusl and Uli's Residence: Room for Two More?

Qilby remained silent as Pyra excused herself, and all the way through Rusl's summary of the world to Ordon's North.

It took Nia's claim of the impossible to bring the sagely man to speak. "Is it truly that unbelievable, Nia? Didn't we both see a city cloaked in sunset, not unlike what Rusl here describes? Especially if it lies just to the No—"

He points East. Then recalculates.

"To the Nor—"

He points Southwest. More recalculations.

"...y'know what? I think I've lost my sense of direction!" the Eliatrope laughed. "Different planets have different ways of defining which way is which. Combine that with the novelty of this world and our weaving through Young Kayne and Moko's domain, and I'm not certain I could point in what direction that palace was!"

Whether it was caused by a knock at the door or Pyra simply letting herself (and others) inside, two new figures would appear at the entrance of the humble hut. While the outsiders may not recognize them as natives to the kingdom (unless the purple-hilted sword on the young man's back was enough to guess), their dagger-shaped ears would be a sign for Rusl and Uli that these were Hylians.

Wealthy Hylians, judging by the quality of their garb.

"Uhmmm, greetings." the young lady said in the universal tongue, albeit rather sheepishly. "My name is Purah, and this is Robbie. We're residents of Castle Town on tour of the rural dis...tricts."

Nia might find a pair of emerald eyes fixated on her. Or rather, the pointed silvery ears on the top of her head. Should the Gormotti seize on the opportunity and move her ears (aligned with whatever mood she liked), the Hylian lady would gasp—and immediately cover her mouth in embarrassment.

"I'm sorry, that was very rude of me! I just...it's that...are those..."

She couldn't even bring herself to ask. Behind her flustered expression, Zelda was scanning and scanning and scanning her memory for anything—any reference at all—to Hylian-like creatures with feline ears in the legends of the kingdom.

So far, no dice.
