Spun off the main odd confessions thread; this thread is for odd confessions related to TV Tropes itself.
Excessive complaining isn't allowed anywhere on the site. Keep it out of this thread.
I felt guilty about having to remove some of the real life examples on Mandela Effect. I would not have removed them if they didn't violate site policy. I enjoyed reading those examples, and I'm sure the people who wrote them are not happy about them being removed.

The first time I saw the image on Appeal to Popularity I thought they were doing a conga line.
I'm just happy because this makes reattaching TLP links that inexplicably got nuked due to a glitch easier.
It took me until last night to realise that Bullman's avatar is not Deadpool in a fancy costume... I never looked at it closely enough to realise.
"Hark! For your greatest fears manifest in yours truly!" (She/Her) (Current focus: Image Pickin')Might be post-Long Term Projects brain but whenever I see a Shout-Out example talking about how something is referencing an oddly-specific piece of media I get really suspicious
Guys how cool would it be if Super Megaforce had a green ranger...I just mistook someone else's edit as one that I wrote and saying "I fucked up" in my edit reason basically. I am sweating bullets.
"Welcome, folks! Ready for some giggles?"I have no idea what I was referencing with this post
, and it's annoying the heck out of me.

Mods can delete edit reasons, so I suppose you could use a private Ask The Tropers query or the "Report Page" button to ask a mod to delete the edit reason if you don't want it to be there. (I don't know which edit this was, so I don't want to delete the wrong edit reason.)
Either way, going back further in the edit history would show that you didn't actually make that edit. (Plus, we all make mistakes.)

I got a rock for Halloween.Too bad we're not allowed to use The Far Side for the page image for some reason. There is a great one for The Scapegoat
^ It's because the creator made it clear that he doesn't want to see images of his work being used online.
EDIT: And we can't use single panel comics wothout permission per About Images and Copyright.

Macron's notesI used to mentally read the unabridged version link of Laconic.Oireland in the Demoman's voice, even though he's Scottish and not Irish. Granted there's the whole Scotireland thing, but still. This has gone away with the added details though, I don't imagine Demo saying that.
"It was the best of times, it was the BLURST of times?"Once again forgot Talking To Himself is a disambig and not a character filling both sides of a dialogue.
TroperWall / WikiMagic CleanupI discovered the trope launch pad 2 days ago, and I accidentally gave suggestions for a proposed trivia page not realizing that most of the replies were discussing how it wouldn’t work.
“Now get out there and make someone smile!”I've been a lurker for years already, but I've only made an account last year when the misuse of what's arguably my favorite trope ever—Apparently Human Merfolk, which should have been called Water-Breathing Human since the start—was really starting to annoy me, so the moment my account was validated I cleaned up some egregious on-page examples.
And now, I'm doing my first-ever TRS project to really put some work on the trope as well as two other tropes with overlapping issues. What inspired me was seeing how Mermaid Media was cut and made into a redirect due to the ongoing Works By Subject TRS effort (something I'm really glad it's being done because the whole thing reaaally annoyed me), so I started to put effort on simply fixing some descriptions, which lead to TRS once I tried to clean up more Apparently Human Merfolk misuse and figured out the name is the problem.
If Aquaman is "Nobody's favorite superhero", then I am Odysseus. (They/Them) (Troper Wall)I really want to rewrite SelfDemonstrating.Yuuki Terumi because to me its current state reads like absolute dookie-ass (I don't know why, but I feel like while it does capture his speech patterns quite a bit it ultimately ends up missing the mark) and it doesn't even get into Susanoo all that much but at the same time I have no idea how to write Terumi (or Hazama, for that matter)
Guys how cool would it be if Super Megaforce had a green ranger...A bit of an Old Shame but I was the one who added the piece of natter (a [[note]][[/note]]) after the page quote in ComicBook.Aquaman. Actually I plainly just didn't like the page quote there. Last year I was rewriting the examples on that page to remove gushing and complaining (and there's still some work on the page I want to do, such as emphasizing it's about the franchise, not just the main character—when I've got the spoons), but I knew I couldn't just change the page quote without permission, and I was too shy and dumb and didn't know where to bring that up. So I added a snarky remark I simply forgot about, until another troper removed it just now.
Now I am a bit wiser and with more experience in these issues, so I've brought my issues with the page quote in the page quote discussion thread. UPDATE: page quote has been changed now with permission.

If Aquaman is "Nobody's favorite superhero", then I am Odysseus. (They/Them) (Troper Wall)I keep this website, and only this website, perpetually zoomed in at 125%. I feel like that's the perfect size for the text and everything else on here.
Very good kitty

The fun I had when reading Headscratchers has come to an end. I finally came upon a page that was more rude than fun.
