Spun off the main odd confessions thread; this thread is for odd confessions related to TV Tropes itself.
Excessive complaining isn't allowed anywhere on the site. Keep it out of this thread.
I felt guilty about having to remove some of the real life examples on Mandela Effect. I would not have removed them if they didn't violate site policy. I enjoyed reading those examples, and I'm sure the people who wrote them are not happy about them being removed.

I don't either but different things can make different people uncomfortable—at least, that's why I imagine some might dislike the newest trope.
Works That Require Cleanup of Complaining | Troper WallYeah, I'm one of those who's not a fan of any N-rated tropes, full stop.
This includes Naked People Are Funny.
Though, I imagine this might fall more under a general, rather than a TV Tropes, confession, but since it's trope-related…
But yeah, what
said.
Different things make different people (un)comfortable.

"Can you even read the blackboard written clear as can be?" / "Can you even read his mind? See that kid's lost fantasy?"Speaking of new tropes, at first I thought the lady in the page image for our new one, Dangled by a Giant, was Britney Spears. ^_^;;
Come on! Let's bless them all until we get fershnickered!I used to misuse Tear Jerker and Nightmare Fuel, but not for the reasons most people did. I wasn't trying to make the works seem edgy — quite the contrary, I hated edgy stories. Instead, I honestly thought that those pages just meant "list everything negative that happened". In my defense, I was twelve.
For every low there is a high.I feel like any Trope Pantheons profile should only be proposed if the character/candidate to be ascended in question has an example on the trope page (for the trope the candidate is being ascended for) itself.

When you're alone I'm reaching out to let you know that you're far from strangers, like the savior![]()
Hey, I thought this was the place you go so you don't feel bad! I know it's wrong, and it embarrasses me, so your "boy is that a stretch" was not nice.
Edit: I don't want to be rude. I was just embarrassed.

For every low there is a high.I don't know why but I always imagine Maternal Death? Blame the Child! said in a hammy supervillainy tone. "Maternal death? Blame the child, I say!"
I always imagine Money, Dear Boy said in a sultry Femme Fatale-type voice for some reason.
I've used the Rate the above trope's page image
forum game a few times to draw attention to images that I think aren't good. Sometimes, I end up surprised when a troper ends up giving a high rating to one of those.
That's what the ask for explanations of page pics
thread is for.
I thought Eyedscreen was a pun on "ice cream", but it's actually "widescreen".
I don't know if this really counts an odd confession, but I really wish the ability to process Cut List requests in batches (as opposed to each one having to be processed individually) had existed when the LightNovel/ namespace was deprecated and the Laconic/ namespace became more strict due to how many requests were being submitted at the time.
For a bonus confession that's less likely to be odd, I do think the changes to how the cutlist works might be my favorite update to the mod tools since I gained access to them.

I got a rock for Halloween. That doesn't sound odd, I'd encourage bringing up "approve all cuts" or "cut checkmarked" buttons to Query Wishlist.
TroperWall / WikiMagic CleanupMy TV Tropes obsession has gotten to the point that when I got notified of this post
regarding me misinterpreting an entry from the November 2022 Trope Report issue, I happened to already have that same issue open while talking to a friend about a separate TRS decision that was made the same month.note

"Cut checkmarked" sounds like how it currently works. The buttons for cutting, declining, and challenging cut requests were replaced with radio buttons, and an action can be selected for more than one request, with a separate button being the one that processes the selected action(s). Previously, only one request could be processed at a time.
To be fair, Talking to Themself really did sound like a gender-neutral redirect to Talking To Himself before we got rid of the latter. It's not the only time that's happened; the old name for Cheerful Funeral, Fun In The Funeral, sounded overly similar to The "Fun" in "Funeral" (the only difference being the position of the word "The"), and the trope was renamed between that and the trope not thriving, while Repetitive Audio Glitch used to be Like A Broken Record, which sounded too similar to Broken Record, with Broken Record's name being metaphorical and Like A Broken Record referencing literal broken records, despite the preexisting phrase "like a broken record" generally being used as a simile.

I got a rock for Halloween.I confess that the Moments and Wild Mass Guessing pages are my favorite sections of the wiki. This might explain why I tend to read them last.
I've never seen the point of morguing or locking a lot of old threads (TRS and IP aside). It feels easier to just let them float to the bottom, and I don't get why some people are so quick to call for a lock. I know it stops popcorning, but people will move on if things stop being bumped.
Working on: Author Appeal | Sandbox | Troper Wall

Just open the home page?
I assume Sinister Nudity.
I don't have a problem with it.
