Spun off the main odd confessions thread; this thread is for odd confessions related to TV Tropes itself.
Excessive complaining isn't allowed anywhere on the site. Keep it out of this thread.
I felt guilty about having to remove some of the real life examples on Mandela Effect. I would not have removed them if they didn't violate site policy. I enjoyed reading those examples, and I'm sure the people who wrote them are not happy about them being removed.

I did not know non-mods were allowed to add crowner options in Image Pickin'
How my brain not piece together that with the ability to add crowner options I do not know
I feel like I should've known by now since I used to frequent it

Checking in on this account after leaving the site, MAN that is a cringy forum post history. Daaamn. Never again.
I think that wasn't the case when the new crowner system was first implemented; I think crowners were completely read-only for non-mods (aside from voting, which obviously shouldnt be mod-only) when the admins changed the crowner system. Though ideally, non-mods would be able to make crowners, since the previous system allowed that, and just had to have mods hook them to threads. (Currently, the hook button simultaneously makes a crowner, though this might be a stopgap... not completely sure, though.)

I got a rock for Halloween.Meanwhile my "new year's resolution" is to spend less, but regulated, time on this site.
When you're alone I'm reaching out to let you know that you're far from strangers, like the savior
by "get wicked" I assume you mean "dewicked"?
I don't really have an opinion on these recent changes, honestly.
When you're alone I'm reaching out to let you know that you're far from strangers, like the saviorI've been doing work on a sandbox for a while now, but I don't know when I should feel satisfied enough with what I'm making to actually launch it into proper pages.
Your melody still remains in this room and it ringsMore often than not I keep clicking on people's profile picture and get surprised it's not potholed to a work.
TroperWall / WikiMagic CleanupSometimes I wonder if most people active on the wiki consider doing maintenance boring and thus would think it's odd that that I like doing it. At the same time, I can't even explain why I like doing it. I suppose it's fitting that I can't explain why I like doing the main thing I do on the site when the game series my username came from is one that's difficult to explain to people who aren't familiar with it.

I got a rock for Halloween.I guess I'm not most people as I prefer doing maintenance because it's easier than troping, or more accurately I have too much maintenance to-do to do anything else.
TroperWall / WikiMagic CleanupI have not much else to do with my time. I also like picking a project and taking it on.
Works That Require Cleanup of Complaining | Troper WallI don't necessarily find it fun, but it is something I'll dedicate hours of my life to doing at a time. It might be the satisfaction of finally seeing a large project end.
Working on: Author Appeal | Sandbox | Troper WallMaintenance is alright but I don't have the energy for it lately. I find troping and creating new pages to be more fulfilling (which is why I plan to do more of that this year)
Macron's notesOpen Secret was on Images Without a Source even though it already shouldn't be, but... you've gotta double-check...
The note saying it's a real sign has been there since 2015, so I would think ImageSource.Photography would be obvious to anyone who reads that... but apparently it wasn't.
I was clearing Images Without a Source one by one, so I've noticed it's at ImageSource.Photography late (and tbh there are a lot of stock photos).
btw did the same for Tourist Bump.

TroperWall / WikiMagic CleanupI once thought what happened in The Simpsons Movie was a good example of a Space Whale Aesop: “Take care of the environment or else the government will put a giant dome over your hometown.”
Come on! Let's bless them all until we get fershnickered!I will often attempt to draft pages in sandboxes, but rarely actually save the content into my sandbox because I usually just finish the work in one go and at that point it's ready to be posted.
Working on: Author Appeal | Sandbox | Troper WallI thought that the Trans Equals Gay trope meant something like "someone who's both gay and trans", not its actual definition.
CG for shortI realized recently that this year marks the 20th anniversary of when I first used the username I use here (on another website, since TV Tropes didn't exist yet) and that makes me feel old. (Yes, I did mean to post this here and not the regular Odd confessions thread, since it's still related to this site.)

I got a rock for Halloween.

I decided to write the description for January's Trope Report for the first time since I started working on it, and I didn't realize until a bit after making the decision that the zodiac sign for next year made me feel like I probably was the best choice out of the issue's contributors. This was otherwise unintentional.
