This should do the trick:
But yeah, looks like we got confirmation of:
- Hwoarang
- Ling Xiayou
- Nina Williams
- King (the guy with the jaguar head)
- Paul
- Leeroy
- Feng Wei
- Julia Chang
And the key art
we got also confirms Kuma, aka Heihachi's pet bear, aka the only living being he actually gives a crap about who isn't himself.
Oh right. Forgot this thread.
I'm thread episodes in.
Paul is being respected for his past accomplishments (Hworang out right says he's the only one who came close to beating kazuya until Heihachi).
The Devil Gene has been revealed to Jin, and the Tournament will begin in the third ep.
I said it in the main Tekken thread, and I'll say it here. The first two games feel like the Soul Edge to the rest of the series Soul Calibur: they're important, and they happened, but come off more like prologue stuff, and the series really began with 3 and Jin.
One Strip! One Strip!Double post:
Sorry. Still don't know if the shadows are triangular. Just never caught it.
Finished episodes 4, 5, and 6 in one go.
Did not expect Xiaoyu to beat Nina. Anna was only in a few scenes and her rivalry with her sister was barely alluded to, and everyone always seemed to pause when they spoke.
Paul actually got to fight True Ogre in this version, which puts him above his original game self, where missing that boat is why his credibility got undermined.
Not much to say. It told the story of Tekken 3 with a little bit of flavour from the later games. Nothing special beyond that. At least to me.
One Strip! One Strip!

And we have to get the full picture of why Jun allowed Kazuya to impregnate her.
At the least with Soul Edge vs. the Soulcalibur sequels, it was all easily summarized in Soulcalibur VI:
Transcending history and the world, a tale of souls and swords, eternally retold.
Soul Edge, a legendary sword and devourer of souls...
Buried in the darkest reaches of history, it was brought back to light in the 16th century. The notorious pirate Cervantes de Leon claimed the sword as his own, setting everything into motion. Soul Edge adapted to its new owner by splitting into two.
Possessed by the evil weapons, Cervantes began a bloody reign of terror, slaying all those seeking the swords without prejudice.
However, Cervantes was eventually undone. Under the protection of Hesphaetus, the god of smithing, a female warrior named Sophitia was able to destroy one of the swords. However, shareds of the blade flew and lodged into her body, causing near-mortal wounds.
Seeing his chance, Cervantes raised his sword to deliver the final blow. Suddenly, there appeared a known as Taki who rescued the wounded warrior. Taki defeated Cervantes in a battle to the death before carrying the injured Sophitia away.
However... One of Soul Edge's two blades still remained. Perhaps it was fate...
The blade fell into the hands of Siegfried, whose mind was twisted and unwell.
The closest we got was the prologue of Tekken 6's Scenario Campaign but when it came to how Kazuya remembered his meeting with Jun, he just viewed her as mysterious yet she approached him without fear. No family-friendly way to indicate that Kazuya got Jun pregnant.
Now, back on-topic, my spoiler-free opinion is this: 2 more episodes could have helped get to know certain characters. Other than that, it ended on a Sequel Hook that would only get resolved if we get a season 2.

I like what they did with King II in this adaptation of Tekken 3's story.
Paralleling his tragedy at the hands of Ogre with Jin's for a climatic semi final match.
Though shame it came with giving Paul a loss who was undefeated in Tekken 3 with Kazuya gone and beat Ogre. But it fits better with Paul taking on more of a old humble mentor role for Jin. Where Paul was still a huge bragged in Tekken 3-4
Still wish we could have seen Armor King I cheering on his student but I'll take what I can get from one of my faves.

I liked this adaptation. I'm a huge fan of Tekken, so seeing an adaption which capture things well makes me smile. Also liked the decisions it made with the characters such as portraying Jin, Hwoarang, and Xiaoyu as a friend trio or Paul as the older mentor. I liked how it portrayed Jin throughout it too, felt like the right blend of him as being both a dark, troubled guy and also having compassion and so on.
Also, just seeing each of them use their moves from the game in the way they did make me happy.
I never entered this expecting a masterpiece or anything. I just wanted something which accurately scratched the Tekken itch and it did that.
I just binged all six episodes. Pretty decent and left me interested in season 2 or a possible new anime for each game. Even if I don't play the games that much I could tell the characters mostly used the same moves they had in the games, which is cool. Seeing characters like Leroy and Craig Marduk in what's supposed to be a Tekken 3 adaptation was strange, but it wasn't an issue since they were either cameos or used for clever Fridge Brilliance. As an example, the possible reason Leroy uses a cane in T7 and didn't reappear until that point is because Jin ends up crippling him in the first match by breaking his leg.
I like Xiaoyu was less cutesy in this version, but still a welcome bit of levity. Just would've been nice to get an early school scene with her or something in the midst of the training. I feel like the cast they did have generally got some solid fights and at least a few good scenes to give them all some spotlight. Can't hope for much more out of a fighting game adaptation.
Heihachi was a fucking standout. The guy's a bastard, but pretty funny surprisingly, and it's cool to see him turn good ol Jim into the conflicted asshole he'd become.
Decided to contribute a little to our page on this anime adaptation. I intend on making Paul's claim he studied under Marshall (yes, he said as such in episode 3) under Adaptation Relationship Overhaul but should it be the second sentence was the entry was already established for detailing Jin's rivalry with Hwaorang or a bullet point?

Since we have a trailer and bit more info, I think it's okay to make a thread for this show.
